02/07/2025: An excellent experience at this restaurant and wine bar. The owner is friendly and cheerful, the food is exceptional and generous, and the prices are reasonable. One of our favorite places in Catania, we'll definitely return before the end of our stay!

01/07/2025: The best restaurant I've ever eaten at in Catania! The terrace is magnificent, quiet, and decorated, on a flower-filled street. The interior is small but welcoming. The manager was lovely; he speaks excellent English and made excellent recommendations, especially regarding wine. Fast service, delicious food, and very reasonable prices. A real favorite!

21/06/2025: Two sizes of pizzas are reasonably priced, with the small ones being €5, which is great for when you're not really hungry. Nice atmosphere in the area, but they're a bit slow on takeout pizzas. My kids didn't like the spicy salami too much, but they weren't bad either.

12/06/2025: TAVERNA GRANDE ALBERO is a charming little spot in Catania—perfect for a relaxed lunch. The food was delicious, the drinks were spot on, and the service was warm and attentive. A true Sicilian gem ! Best place that we have eaten at in Sicily. Highly recommended.

11/06/2025: A good restaurant, with expertly prepared local dishes, the fantastic Sicilian cuisine is certainly well interpreted. Maybe they should work a little more on customer care, a smile, a joke with customers, it doesn't hurt. True that it is not on the menu but it really doesn't hurt.

25/05/2025: We call on a Saturday evening to find out if there is availability for 9 people, the guy answers yes even if a little hesitantly, as if I were making fun of him. We easily found parking and sat down shortly after our arrival. I ask to be able to order for the children, the waiter says to send me his colleague who however arrives after at least 15 minutes. We order, we receive half of the drinks ordered and, as soon as some potatoes arrive, we ask for the other drinks, but this time too the waiter turns a deaf ear and heads towards other tables that, although they arrived after us, were served first. Absent waiters, halfway through the dinner they warn us of missing products ordered (products such as raw ham, to be clear!) and, having ordered badly, they bring us a dish we did not order (we ask for roast potatoes and they bring grilled meat, calling it roast!) Reading the reviews we expected 5-star cuisine which unfortunately was only an illusion; good baked sausage, decent pork shank... Pinsa undefined, rubbery and with mozzarella piled up. The worst thing, however, was the waiting staff, while we were at the cash register the two boys rejoiced that we had gotten up, too bad that once caught they imitated some phantom TIC, something like that in a place like that is unacceptable. Advise the lady to review the staff from scratch The only positive note of the evening, the 1lt glass bottle of Coca Cola!

06/06/2025: We organized our wedding at the Casale del Notaio and everything was excellent. The owners, super professional and friendly, were always available to accommodate our requests, even organizing all the small details independently. Wonderful location: beautiful interior and exterior with a breathtaking view. And finally the food... definitely the strong point. Everything was delicious, especially appetizers and first courses!!

25/06/2025: As soon as we landed in Catania late at night, we were hungry and looking for a restaurant in the center of Catania, we stopped at this trattoria where they made us sit outside, we were welcomed with smiles and cordiality, we ate fresh fish and excellent seafood and all at very reasonable prices. Excellent experience, well done!

14/06/2025: Had dinner as a couple, a truly excellent experience. We took a raw and cooked appetizer, a first course (shrimp, basil pesto, cherry tomatoes, all fresh) recommended when ordering and a bottle of Grillo 7 terre. The staff was knowledgeable, present and precise. If I had to find a flaw in the evening: for dessert only sorbet (perhaps all the others on the menu were finished).
