07/12/2025: A precious place in the heart of Catania Lorenzo, the owner, is very friendly and kind. He guided us through an indescribable flavor experience, recommending excellent wine and delicious Tuscan focaccia! We can't wait to return!

16/11/2025: The place is great, they do have an interesting variety of wines to taste but please be ready that in case you decide to buy a bottle of wine as take away, you probably receive a bottle of sour (spoiled) wine. This is what exactly happened to us (at least it wasn't too expensive one bottle), so 3 stars out of 5 🫠

14/11/2025: Found by chance on a weekday in Caltagirone, it will surely become a must-visit on future Caltagirone trips. Everything was excellent, from the location to the food, and the chef.

06/11/2025: A delightful older gentleman who, with just as much heart, cooks and talks about typical regional products. It's worth booking in advance, as everything is cooked exclusively for a given meal, and otherwise you might miss out.

14/12/2025: It's become one of my favorite downtown spots. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the place is cute and simple enough for those who don't care about too many frills and frills but want to spend a pleasant evening with friends. The dishes are simple but delicious.

09/12/2025: Very nice restaurant and unique dishes. Thank you. It's a shame about the wooden barrel with the logo; it's unsightly to see a brand so prominently displayed in such a clean and elegant setting.

26/11/2025: If you're hesitating about coming to this place or comparing options, look no further. This is the best place, THE place. They have a huge variety, and the 'mini' size (which are still quite large, perfect for one person) is only €5! Or the 'regular' size is €9. A super relaxed atmosphere, just two blocks from Via Etna, not chaotic at all, and just as charming. Where else are you going to eat such good pizzas at that price? My best meal in Italy in terms of value for money, being a tourist, obviously, which is sometimes hard to avoid, especially those typical places that charge you more just for being a tourist. So don't hesitate any longer and go!!! If you have a big appetite, for example, and there are two of you, at most you'll order three mini pizzas and that's it. But otherwise, two minis are fine, and you'll end up spending maybe €7 per person with drinks included, no more. And there's no cover charge.

15/12/2025: Reservation for pizza with colleagues. The place is very nice, even more so in the summer with a lovely outdoor area. The pizzas are very good, with a wide variety. Excellent service. Good price.

20/11/2025: Last night I had the pleasure of taking some colleagues to Spiga!!! They immediately complimented me on the restaurant—beautiful, welcoming, and elegant—and then they were thrilled with the pizzas and desserts, and with Gianluca's hospitality, always available and smiling. Excellent value for money!

11/10/2025: I've been coming to Catania for work for five years, and Taverna del Grande Albero is a regular stop. First of all, I find quality and courtesy here, but above all, I feel like I'm at home. The owners have become like family to me. I GO TO FILIPPO'S, I say every time!!!! Always friendly, always hospitable, they never fail to chat with the customers, and I highly recommend it!! I've attached photos so you can fully understand my satisfaction. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of the spectacular seafood appetizer!

02/12/2025: I celebrated my graduation at Paradise and I couldn't be happier with choosing them to celebrate the most important day of my life. Excellent food, friendly staff, and Sergio, the owner, was always available and active in my planning. I will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to celebrate an important event with class and professionalism. 5 stars

13/12/2025: We went to this place for an anniversary and had good food. The appetizer was excellent, and the pumpkin lasagna was a very good first course. The location and food were highly recommended.

09/12/2025: A charming, very local café with delicious cannoli (with a delicious ricotta and pistachio filling), cookies, and brioche (the doughnut-like kind). It has a very local vibe; it seems like everyone knows everyone. The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend it!
