17/12/2024: If you like a bistro, this is the place for you. But it's nothing more, even though the restaurant wants to be more than it is. Orders are forgotten. Salt and pepper are provided upon request, but empty. Many of the products are frozen food, which you can taste or not taste because the freshness is missing. But prices are of course really high compared to other restaurants in Sicily. If you also like deafening music and other guests smoking while you eat, this is the place for you. It wasn't really my thing. I'm amazed at so many good reviews. Are people really so uncritical and allow themselves to be told all sorts of crap?

19/03/2025: Come da tradizione, per il giorno di San Giuseppe, Nicola ha preparato la pasta con le sarde, la cui bontà è stata molto apprezzata dal sottoscritto e dai miei, oggi numerosi, colleghi 😋. Ritengo, che questa preparazione non abbia nulla da invidiare alla più blasonata ricetta Palermitana. Per cui, possiamo, senza alcuna esitazione, iscrivere il nostro Chef alle Olimpiadi della Pasta con le Sarde 🤣

13/04/2025: Piacevole riscoperta dopo tanti anni, Martina e Valerio ci hanno accolto con gentilezza e professionalità, silenziosa e discreta presenza durante la cena, servizio impeccabile e non invasivo, misurata simpatia senza mai strafare. Antipasto di seppioline fritte magistralmente, pasta con le vongole e con il nero di seppie buonissime (nero con aggiunta di poca stracciatella che ci stava benissimo - Valerio aveva chiesto prima se la gradivo). Conto forse un tantino alto, ma ragionando in termini di differenza con gli altri locali della zona, ampiamente giustificato visto quanto sopra detto. Il proprietario deve tenersi buono il personale che gli consente il successo. Consigliato.

01/04/2025: Truly excellent staff, extraordinarily smiling, attentive and, in any case, very discreet (Carol, Anna, Martina, Sara, Valerio etc...). The dishes, served with class and imagination, literally conquer your throat and leave you with the desire to return. Compliments!

15/02/2025: We chose Macchianera for Valentine's Day dinner, trusting in the quality of the service and cuisine that we had always appreciated in our previous visits. However, this evening's experience proved to be significantly below expectations. The order was taken within an acceptable time, but the wait for the first courses was excessively long, even though they were the same for both. This delay is in no way justifiable by the confusion in the room, considering the standard of the venue and the price paid. Furthermore, the staff appeared distracted and did not pay attention to details, further compromising the quality of the service. In the past, I remembered a clearly superior care in the explanation of the dishes, with an attentive and precise service, capable of enhancing the gastronomic experience. This evening, unfortunately, this was not the case: the presentation was summary, lacking the professionalism that makes a dinner special. The kitchen, which on other occasions had stood out for its care and attention in preparations, did not shine this evening. Although the raw materials were of good quality, the dishes arrived with considerable delay and without the attention to detail that we expected. Paying 70 euros each implies impeccable service and a top-quality dinner, but unfortunately this was not the case. Despite having had much better experiences in the past, this dinner left us dissatisfied. The place has always maintained a certain standard, but this time we can't say the same. We hope it was an isolated incident, but under these conditions, we don't think we want to return.

14/02/2025: It was recommended to me by a local couple while I was having an aperitif at the La Torre wine shop ❤️. The Papillon restaurant fully met my expectations and I highly recommend it. Cuisine with the freshest local products, young, friendly and knowledgeable staff.

18/01/2025: Nice and elegant environment, friendly and helpful staff also available to the various requests of those traveling for work. I returned for two consecutive evenings and I liked every dish I tasted although I must say that the gricia surprised me, I didn't expect to find it as good as in Rome!

07/01/2025: Il giorno dell’Epifania abbiamo pranzato qui con altri amici. Abbiamo trovato un ambiente confortevole, curato, con personale molto attento e preparato. Qualità del cibo ottima, un menu ben fatto davvero. Ottimi anche i dolci preparato da loro stessi. Un plauso particolare alla titolare, persona molto fine e cordiale. Torneremo con grande piacere a mangiare qui e lo consiglieremo ad altri. Ne vale davvero la pena. Complimenti.

28/03/2025: Trying the various pizzerias in Catania I can say that together with Sciara in my opinion they are the best.... pistachio arancini really excellent with real pistachio flavour, good and digestible pizza, excellent toppings... well done

13/01/2025: Terrazza riparata con una vista bellissima. Il personale è cordiale e gentile. Abbiamo pranzato in questo locale con un ottimo antipasto antipasto e due prim davvero strepitosi. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo.

22/10/2024: Fuori stagione estiva in una ventosa serata ottombrina. Fermi al porto abbia optato per la trattoria per certi versi storica. Ci saremmo aspettati un caldo menù strettamente terroriale ma purtroppo l'abbiamo trovato francamente non adeguato. L'offerta della cantina un po sovrapprezzo, ottimi i dolci, scarsi e cari i secondi (ma più in generale l'intero menù). A Salina l'offerta "giù " scarseggia specie in questo periodo forse vale la pena sportarsi con un taxi per "salire"a Malfa dove ci sono realtà più interessanti e meno "ingessate". Ottimo comunque il servizio e la cortesia dei camerieri che cmq non "spiegano" i piatti

10/04/2025: Se passate da Capo d'Orlando, non potete non passare da Terra. Ottimo ristorante in centro a Capo d'Orlando, con una sala ampia, un servizio gentile e una proposta di menù che oltre a variare stagionalmente, è una scoperta continua. Prezzi giusti, consigliato per ogni occasione e per piccole cerimonie!

15/03/2025: Das Essen war sehr gut, und die Preise waren angemessen. Bedienung war sehr nett und hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben, dass sie uns versteht. Wir haben für drei mal Pasta zwei Bier und große Wasser 44 € bezahlt.
