16/11/2025: Donnafugata Castle is a great place for a delicious lunch or dinner! Excellent ingredients and condiments, served with warmth and professionalism. I recommend the gnocchi and roast beef! The desserts are limited. Excellent coffee.

31/10/2025: Although it was a touristy place, the appetizers we ordered were very good. The sciaco with tomatoes was excellent!

08/03/2026: We had a great time. The owner was very kind and welcoming, always smiling between courses. We ate very well, with fresh fish and truly excellent first courses. If you're in the area, definitely stop by Sciccheria.

01/03/2026: I ordered a medium steak, but it came rare and rubbery. They tried to cook it more, but it only got worse. The English translation of the menu item is also incorrect. They were willing to make custom pasta for my son, which I appreciated. However, the overall experience was disappointing. The waitress seemed rushed and was sometimes rude, clearing our plates without asking if we were finished. She also didn’t seem pleased that we weren’t happy with the food. Follow-up: The restaurant mentioned that the owner attended our table. That is technically true — for about 15 seconds to confirm the order. The actual service (taking the order, serving, clearing plates) was handled by the waitress, who interacted with us 4–5 times and was consistently rude. No issue with the owner’s brief appearance — just clarifying the facts. If needed, I can also ask my friend to share their opinion about the steaks. I’m just not sure it would help your case.

27/02/2026: A lovely restaurant and pizzeria. I ate there twice during a business trip and felt like I was part of a family. The food is delicious and the prices are affordable. If I had had another evening to spare, I would have also wanted to try the pizza. Coffee and liqueurs are offered at the end of the meal. The staff and the owner work hard to make you feel comfortable. You go out alone for work and find yourself eating and talking for over an hour with people who are passionate about their work and whose goal is to make everyone feel comfortable. Thanks guys for the company and the excellent food. I hope to be back on vacation. Closed Tuesdays.

24/02/2026: First of all, I had high expectations for the food, and they were exactly that—everything was delicious. But I'm also sorry to say that the service was terrible. There was no coordination between the waiters, the dishes didn't all arrive at the same time, they changed our knives 4 times without understanding why 🤣. The air in the restaurant was very dry, perhaps because the air circulation in the room wasn't good. Not only our table, but also those around us reiterated that the air was still and heavy, perhaps because of the oven, I don't know. We'll repeat the experience, maybe it was just an isolated incident.

The cuisine is good, with a balance between locally sourced produce and fine dining. The location is nice, but if better enhanced, it has great potential. Recommended. Better to book on Sundays, as it's so crowded.

23/02/2026: A very beautiful and well-maintained location. The food is excellent and well-prepared. Service is fast and friendly. We enjoyed our Sunday lunch here, choosing the set menu, which you can view weekly on their social media page. Outside, there's a lovely garden with some farm animals and a playground.

11/03/2026: We had a very good meal: the dishes were flavorful and well-prepared. It's clearly a place where you come for the quality of the food. However, the prices are quite high. The dining room is very busy, and the tables are close together in a rather small space, which creates a lively atmosphere. The service is quick and efficient, but with the crowds, you don't really linger at your table. A good place for a good meal, even if the experience is quite fast-paced.

13/03/2026: I don't know what is happening with other food places there isn't a standard day to find them open or what ever, but this place opens at 17:00 and serve until late, has Italian and English menu there is a cozy place to sit down and enjoy your panini or take away. Has cavalo, pollo, pancheta, beef, tuna, vegan menu many sauces and panini is always ready to eat almost immediately. You can have it at your place and eat it warm, cold your choice.

22/03/2026: Everything is absolutely delicious and the maître d’ is quite friendly & accommodating. I gave 2 stars for the service because when one of the staff sat us down, he didn’t come back to check on us for about 15 minutes and when we asked for water, he just placed a bottle of water on the table without giving us glasses. It was only when another staff noticed it after 30 minutes that he offered us glasses.

14/02/2026: My wife and I spent a weekend organized from Saturday afternoon with dinner, overnight stay, breakfast, Sunday lunch, and guided tours. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness, warmth, and service of the staff. They were very attentive, helpful, and always smiling (something that doesn't happen often these days). The location is charming, rustic, and above all, always spotlessly clean and fragrant. And last but not least, the food was fantastic throughout. Thank you for everything. We'll definitely be back.

The restaurant is original and well-finished: divided into different rooms—Sala dei Cavalieri, Sala del Barocco, and Sala dello Scirocco (which opens in the summer)—each with its own identity and atmosphere. This detail makes the experience more interesting and never boring. The food is truly excellent: well-executed dishes, clean flavors, and balanced ingredients. The management is discreet but present in the right way. I had the pleasure of speaking with Stefano, who became the owner a few days ago: I wish him a great future, because the foundations are solid. A place that combines personality, quality, and hospitality. I'll be back.
