28/05/2025: Bar poco curato, molto sporco a terra,tavolini in disordine (da sprechiare completamente sporchi ,personale assente e indifferente,tra l'altro non c'era nessuno .Caffè orrendo per non parlare dei cornetti. Che facevano pena . Tra l'altro il titolare presente in cassa ma assente del tutto. Ps non metterò mai più piede. Mi spiace

25/05/2025: Excellent pastry shop (especially for me the panzerotti and granita with brioche) and hot food (especially the pizza by the slice the best I've ever eaten in Catania) well stocked, I didn't give 4 stars because towards late afternoon there is very little hot food. Well attended and well clean with efficient staff.

02/12/2024: Last year, on a one month sabbatical of Italy, I spent about 3 nights in Taormina and my first evening there was spent dining at TreQuarti Taormina. The gentleman who owns the space was so hospitable and made me feel so comfortable, made great conversation, and suggested one of my favorite dishes of the whole trip, swordfish rolls. (Don't knock it until you try it, it's a delicious take on fish.) Additionally, when I had first arrived to the quaint town, I struggled immensely to get my overpacked luggage down the stairs to my Airbnb, that happened to be across from this adorable restaurant. The owner of this restaurant helped me carry my suitcase up the stairs to my accommodations (in the blistering heat) and helped ease my embarrassment in front of his customers. I am so grateful for this interaction and the dining experience too. Definitely worth a visit to this spot!

Its location in the heart of Ortigia is undoubtedly a plus, making it easily accessible for those visiting the city. The setting of the restaurant is typical of a Sicilian trattoria, with simple and functional furnishings. The atmosphere is generally informal and relaxed, suitable for both quick lunches and quiet dinners. As for the food, the menu offers traditional Sicilian dishes. The quality of the ingredients appears average and the portions are generally satisfactory. The preparations follow classic recipes, proving correct but without surprising for originality or innovation. We found that some dishes were well executed, while others were less memorable. The service is courteous and attentive, with the staff proving available to handle customer requests. There are no excessive waits, and the management of the room is efficient. Prices are in line with the average of restaurants in the area, making 'A Putia a choice that won't break the bank. In short, 'A Putia is a solid option for an unpretentious meal in a traditional setting. It offers what you would expect from a typical trattoria, without excelling but still ensuring a pleasant experience without unpleasant surprises.

02/06/2025: The pasta was wonderful; great portion size, wonderful flavor. An excellent experience. We tried the pasta with pistachio sauce and the pasta with meat balls and both were perfect, the pomodoro sauce was wonderful and the bread and olive oil were super tasty.

17/05/2025: We discovered this magnificent restaurant by chance after spending one night nearby. Although the road leading there is a bit bumpy, it's definitely worth the detour! The place is full of charm, nestled in the Sicilian countryside. The meat is of good quality, and it makes all the difference on the plate. The welcome is warm, and we especially thank the lovely lady who welcomed us, a French woman who has lived in Sicily for 40 years and who takes great care of us. We highly recommend this place, and if you're in the area, don't hesitate!

13/05/2025: I went to Pantanelli in Noto for lunch with my family on May 1st, on the occasion of Labor Day. The restaurant is easy to reach and has a large parking lot. The outdoor room, bright and welcoming, overlooks the splendid countryside of Noto, creating a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. We chose the fish menu: everything very fresh and daily. The dishes are signed by chef Luca Veneziano, who offers traditional Sicilian cuisine combined with original combinations: a balance between tradition and innovation, between simplicity and sophistication, enhancing the freshest ingredients. In particular, we appreciated the maccheroncini with red mullet ragù, generously seasoned with abundant pieces of fish. To complete the lunch, the busiate with seafood and a fried calamari and prawn rings: light and crunchy! The service in the room was impeccable: efficient, friendly and always smiling staff. The quality/price ratio was also excellent, with costs appropriate to the context and the quality offered.

25/04/2025: Quality food, but they raised the price (already high) of a vegetable soup from 18 to 25 euros with the excuse that it was "first fruits". I was exhausted by the trip and I accepted... I'm sorry to see that tourists often have to pay higher prices. I will never go back there again.
