Lots of appetizers, 3 first courses, perfectly cooked suckling pig, desserts, and unlimited wine and water. Excellent value. Everything was delicious. I definitely recommend it. The food was incredibly delicious 😋 and the service was amazing 😀
We haven't experienced such a friendly atmosphere in a long time.
Since it wasn't too crowded that evening, we were even able to request our favorite Italian songs. It was a super fun evening in a lovely setting 👍
30/05/2026: The place is nice. I had mozzarella with tomatoes and basil as a starter. I ordered extra basil and added a lot more seasoning. The main course was fried potatoes, which were quite old, dried out, and wrinkled. The mixed fried fish took a long time to arrive, and the potatoes were cold by the time they came. I had to season that too. The tiramisu for dessert was frozen, not homemade. The cappuccino arrived with a lot of cinnamon and chocolate—hello, I'm in Italy! I sent it back. A new cappuccino arrived with sour milk. I asked if they didn't like soy milk, as they were out of other options. I didn't believe me and tried it myself. The price for mozzarella with tomatoes was €16—far too expensive for that.

30/05/2026: I recommend the M'Attizza pizza and the octopus and potato panini – they're truly delicious. The waitress is incredibly kind and understanding. It's a great place to relax from traditional restaurants, and the food is truly on par with them. I'd just like to see the tables cleaned more carefully.

Then they suddenly charged me €20 for the glass. A complete rip-off.

12/06/2026: When we payed and leave restaurant they asked to come back and showed the bill if we payed. Horrible staff and rudeness. We are disappointed. We were too much high expectation. There was written low prices but we payed the same price as in other restaurants. Tourist trap.

02/05/2026: I live in La Maddalena, and on May 1st, my family and I went to the Assaggio restaurant, based on the excellent reviews on the website.
We had lunch with a mix of mussels, first courses, and second courses.
What can I say...SUPERLATIVE...
You can smell the sea and taste the excellent quality of the ingredients.
The place is very welcoming, spotlessly clean, and beautiful.
The staff is very kind and friendly.
Mrs. Lilli is very nice and kind.
It was a fantastic discovery at the Assaggio restaurant.
I highly recommend it.
We'll definitely be back.

07/06/2026: A very nice place located in the center of the village of San Teodoro. Friendly and helpful waiters, always attentive to any eventuality. Reservations are recommended.
04/06/2026: The mortadella pizza and ragu spaghetti were absolutely spot on. Everything arrived hot, fresh and clearly made with quality ingredients.
I'd started to believe that "warm pasta" was just part of the dining experience over here but this place proved me wrong.
The pizza deserves a special mention too. Crispy all the way through, including the base. For once, I could pick up a slice without performing emergency topping rescue.
Safe to say we were impressed. We've already booked to come back.

Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience. Although the restaurant was empty, we were seated at a table in the far corner. After ordering, we had to wait over an hour for our food, while four guests who arrived after us were served much more quickly. They were locals. When the food finally arrived, the server even spilled water on our table. We moved to another table. Overall, we felt neither welcome nor well-treated. Absolutely not recommended.
Disastrous!
Locals are given preferential treatment here.
Tourists have to wait!
