28/05/2025: We are in Olbia for work ... and we found this fantastic place Only today ... We go there for both lunch and dinner? And the food is really very good. At the right price ... Also the staff is very friendly and nice.

12/06/2025: We booked a table for 7 and asked for good views, our surprise was that they didn't give us the table with the views, I told the waiter and he said he couldn't, in fact he didn't want to because they didn't use it, the food was very good but the service, especially the head waiter, was BAD

10/06/2025: Beautiful view of Tavolara island, for the rest absolutely zero. I would say that the prices could even be "normal", but they are not in relation to the quality and quantity of this place. I had a sauté of mussels for 20 euros, I counted them there were 11 mussels in number. Madness. Not to mention the crazy cover charge, 4.5 euros. Never paid such a high cover charge anywhere, and among other things for not having anything to justify that price. I understand if they had brought me a welcome entrée then it's ok, but they brought some poor quality bread and 4 slices of carasau bread. For the rest of the dishes were not even bad, but really little, I left hungry... paid 160 euros for 3 people, where 1 of them only ate a first course.. madness, I definitely won't go back

25/05/2025: The restaurant is a bit hidden behind the town hall of Palau. Family atmosphere, very generous portions, excellent food. What we couldn't finish, we took home. What a meal!

18/09/2024: I have to give only one star because the restaurant is closed and no one bothered to update this status on Google, which instead always reports it as open. I went the other evening, they kindly pointed out to me that they didn't serve dinner, and while I was eating at the nearby restaurant, which was excellent and provided extremely kind treatment, I had to attend a private dinner right at the Baretto. Maybe we should be a little more clear with customers, because being bounced elsewhere with a few words crossed and then attending a private banquet, which is also very noisy, is not the best. Sin.

08/09/2024: Another excellent dinner at il Baretto. Thank you again. The spaghetti with violet shrimp and bottarga was and is perhaps one of the best pasta dishes I've ever enjoyed. Delicious croaker (think sea bass), tempura seafood, and tuna tartare. Highly recommended. Thank you 🙏🏼 💙

01/02/2025: In posizione non proprio centrale di S.Teodoro (ma comunque a due passi dal centro), merita sia per le pizze (buonissime e ben farcite) che per le altre proposte: davvero ottime le cozze, con un'ampia varieta' di preparazioni (alcune davvero originali). Prezzi nella media. Personale disponibile, gentile e simpatico. Ottimo il rapporto qualita'-prezzo. Ambiente tranquillo e rilassato. Consigliato!

04/06/2025: We went to dinner at this restaurant recommended by the owners of the holiday home. If I could give 10 stars I would gladly give it. We liked everything, the elegant and very "marine" atmosphere, the cleanliness of the premises, the kindness of the staff (very helpful, attentive and professional) and above all the quality of the dishes. Prices adequate for the quality of the food and service, short waiting times. Thank you, we hope to return soon. Recommended

20/05/2025: I'm just saying that if pizzas are presented on the menu with pictures full of toppings, but then they are served with very little, it's quite irritating. Bad deal, never again.

18/05/2025: Only one word - amazing. Try anything, their pasts, calzone, pizza all were great. We went on a weekend and it was full from locals having fun and eating full Italian courses. It was a great experience in a small town.

03/05/2025: Un grazie ad Antonello che mi ha accompagnato tra le sue proposte, tutte apprezzate. Locale molto carino, cibo all'altezza. Ad esempio il tagliere è un percorso tra formaggi e salumi assolutamente non banali. Ottimi i culurgiones. Bella la proposta dei vini. Conto nella media e comunque in linea con la qualità offerta.

20/05/2025: I would like to point out that my opinion only concerns the restaurant, where I went 3 days ago. The view of the bays was simply spectacular, the service impeccable with kind and always present waiters. It was a shame that my capricciosa pizza was slightly watered down and with tasteless raw materials. I swear it was the first time in my life that I left half of it on the plate because I was disgusted. The cheese tasting, if that's what you have to call it, for four people consisted of a small plate with a few tiny rectangles of various qualities inside, but so small that you couldn't even understand the flavor. The dessert, the seada, was very good. The prices were quite high.

28/05/2025: Shortly after arriving in Sardinia, a kind stranger (kinder than I first realised) advised me to eat at this restaurant only, and none other. As a Scot of Highland origin, I have a strong streak of cynicism when confronted with this sort of advice from strangers; my travels over fifty years have generally confirmed that a commission may be involved, payable to the provider of the advice. In this case, some of the reviews seemed to confirm my reluctance to take the advice at face value. I have eaten at some truly terrible establishments – not least, I am sorry to say, in Scotland – with better reviews than those here. In fact, the advice to eat at Ristorante da Silvio turned out to be entirely altruistic. After eating at a couple of other restaurants in San Teodoro, notable for their sea views, questionable service and high-priced tourist menus, we parked outside da Silvio on a whim, to take a simple lunch, and entered a new world of pleasure. We have eaten there since, and we will return only to San Teodoro, and only because Silvio is there. If ever he closes up shop, we shall have to find another town without the plethora of tourist traps that now plague what was clearly once a beautiful, quiet Mediterranean town. Silvio is, like the majority of true Sardinians, a relatively taciturn, understated gentleman who takes a profound pride in his offering. He goes to market early to find the best fish and produce. He understands pasta, a mystery to those from the North. He offers only one red wine by the glass – I have no idea what it is called – but it is local and it is some of the best wine I have ever tasted by the glass. When Silvio suggests a dish, we have learned to accept the recommendation without demur, and so we have discovered ravioli without equal, fish cooked to perfection, charming desserts; in short, reasonably priced food that has left us feeling well and contented and pleased to be in good company, just pleased really. I am no friend to hyperbole, so I will just add, as an aside, that we wondered why Silvio does not have a Michelin star. It is simple: he is determined to continue providing pizza in the evenings for the local population who, rightly, eat his pizza out of preference. Michelin does not like this; poor Michelin – are you really so shallow? (By the way, Silvio refuses to serve pizza for lunch because he considers it too heavy for anyone wishing to survive the afternoon heat.) I have noticed that a lot of the negative reviews focus on the service. I state clearly here: we have found the service to be nothing less than expert and courteous, and it becomes positively charming on the second visit. Perhaps those who complain might consider whether they too are courteous – I have found that courtesy works best on a two-way street.

26/05/2025: Ottima esperienza Torniamo spesso in questo ristorante ed ogni volta mi sembra di essere a casa con Silvio ( il titolare). Abbiamo ormai un rapporto di amicizia e quando ci sediamo nel suo ristorante ci consiglia sempre i piatti migliori con prodotti di stagione … consiglio vivamente i bocconi di mare (lumache di mare) che non si trovano spesso e di cui io ne vado ghiotto e che ogni volta che sono disponibili Silvio mi propone

20/05/2025: Leggendo il menu’ si ha la sensazione di essere in un ristorante sopra la media (anche per i prezzi ) …. Purtroppo però una volta arrivate le pietanze si ha l’amara sorpresa 😦 . Credo di non aver mangiato mai così male in 50 anni che frequentato Palau .
