07/04/2026: What a pizza, in a good way, of course. I opted for the Pizza Genovese; delicious. Classic Neapolitan pizza; the meat was naturally melted due to the long cooking time. My wife had the Pizza ai Tre Pomodori; beautiful to look at and definitely good to eat. Tasty frittatas

04/04/2026: An experience beyond expectations A dear friend of ours recommended dinner at "Pizzeria da Gianni." As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with a smile that made us feel right at home! The dinner was a feast of flavors that will leave a lasting impression. Even the simple baked potatoes, served in a delicious bowl, were surprising for their perfect balance of flavor and impeccable cooking, the result of experience and passion in preparing them. The refined atmosphere and pleasant clientele are a testament to the care and dedication of the owners. The staff are very attentive and helpful! Before leaving Puglia, on the way home, you definitely have to dine at "Pizzeria da Gianni" again.

05/04/2026: The "La Fattoria" restaurant is almost an institution in Taranto, on par with other famous and renowned establishments whose names I won't mention. But this time (I hadn't dined here in many years), the experience was rather negative. It's an old-fashioned restaurant, nothing changed from many years ago. A table for seven, Sunday lunch to celebrate an event. An endless wait. From 1:30 to 2:45 PM for the appetizers to be served. I must say, they were good quality. Three seafood courses and three meat courses. The fish cart was presented with an invitation to choose the finest cuts; we chose the lobster. The lobster paccheri (two dishes) arrived hard, not al dente, and salty (but that's a personal preference). The lobster, however, wasn't the one shown to us (I'm absolutely convinced, without a shadow of a doubt; it was frozen, had very little flavor, and was rubbery). The scialatielli with clams (2 dishes) were also very flavorless, and the clams weren't highlighted (lots of empty shells on the plate). The birthday boy's seafood risotto (I was extremely disappointed) never arrived (after numerous requests, each with the following responses: 1) it's cooking; 2) we're fixing it; 3) I'll let you know right away; 3) there's a problem, I can bring you something else). The guest at the table, now disappointed and angry, opted for a quick (so he said) plate of prawns (we were already choosing desserts). The last course was a simple pasta with tomato sauce for the boy who doesn't eat fish (I tried it and it was MasterChef-level, who was excluded from the selections). Obviously, we're not the type to argue. We knew many important and well-known customers from Taranto at the restaurant who aren't interested in acting. We expressed our disappointment, but despite the poor service, we paid a lot and without even a hint of a discount for the awful meal. Kudos to the pastry shop that supplies the desserts and to the Rosato Tramari winery, which always confirms the quality. I obviously won't be returning to this place, which unfortunately has no customer service whatsoever.

10/01/2026: At Chiara's, you always have the satisfaction of eating well. Even though I hadn't booked and it was already lunchtime, an excellent linguine with clams arrived in no time, prepared on the fly by Mario, Chiara's husband. The atmosphere is familiar, and the owners are great company; the apple pie, among the desserts of the day, is also delicious.

02/05/2026: A great pizzeria for an evening with friends. Excellent pizza and ingredients. Knowledgeable and professional staff. Clean atmosphere, fast service, and reasonable prices. I recommend it.

04/05/2026: We stopped by for lunch. Excellent value for money, with a choice of: - a tasting menu, €35 or €40, all-inclusive, featuring, among other things, eight original antipasti and a plate of meat from an unknown animal. - for more traditional appetites, the à la carte menu offers prime and second courses, like elsewhere, but homemade. I recommend it; call in the morning to reserve, specifying whether you want a table inside or outside! Don't hesitate to take a 15-minute walk around the farm; there are lots of little trulli converted into farmhouses/holiday cottages.

25/04/2026: We chose this place for a special lunch after my brother's swearing-in to the Navy, and it was a perfect choice. Fresh fish, carefully prepared and truly tasty dishes, showcasing every flavor to its fullest. The location is elegant yet welcoming, ideal for special occasions. The three owner brothers are a great added bonus: friendly, professional, and always attentive, they made us feel right at home. A place where quality and hospitality meet. Highly recommended!

26/04/2026: Lunch on April 25th, so a fixed menu (I don't know if this is how it usually works). Relatively quick service, informal atmosphere. The dishes didn't particularly impress me. I found the quality of the cured meats (capocollo and salami) very good, but the cheeses were less so (tasteless mozzarella, for example). The pizzaiola-style meatballs were quite tough, difficult to cut with a knife, and it was even hard to tell they were pizzaiola-style! The single-serving potato dishes here, however, were more flavorful. The first courses were decent, generous enough, both for the trofie with pistachio pesto, pancetta, and bacon, and the orecchiette with cherry tomatoes, dates, or cheese. The second course, featuring a mixed roast, consisting of sausage, pancetta, and breaded bombette, was a bit disappointing and not particularly flavorful. The jam tart, which seemed to be one of those pre-packaged supermarket ones. Overall, a full 5. I don't think I'll go back.

06/04/2026: The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, the food is excellent, the authentic flavors of family-run Mediterranean cuisine, and the portions are generous. It's a real joy to return!

11/03/2026: Excellent variety of appetizers, all excellent! Excellent first courses (I'm not ashamed to say I mopped up the plate with bread 😂). All accompanied by precise, courteous, and very friendly service. Will definitely be back (I've already rebooked 😀)!
