We dined here twice. The first day, the food was decent, but the first course needed some attention, especially regarding the lack of al dente cooking and the flavor. The second day, we decided to have just two meat-based main courses. Excellent veal steak, pork steak, and trambe, both grilled to perfection, with a uniquely local flavor. Top marks. We also had a side of green beans, which were truly excellent, as their freshness and authenticity were evident. We will definitely be back to try the truly exquisite meat again.

Family atmosphere, typical Lucanian cuisine, good appetizers and eggplant. It's a shame the handmade fusilli and ravioli are not up to par, but the sauce isn't up to par. Small parking lot.

At the Santa Lucia da Biagio restaurant in Maratea, you'll find a homely atmosphere and a variety of culinary experiences, featuring typical flavors of Lucanian cuisine. Both local produce, where peperone crusco and eggplant are the undisputed kings and queens, and seafood are featured. Naturally, all locally sourced ingredients are used. The owners, especially Teresa, offer a disarmingly simple and friendly welcome. In conclusion, excellent food, a wonderful welcome, simple, typical Lucanian flavors, and a fair price. This restaurant is highly recommended for those on vacation or simply passing through Maratea.
