13/05/2026: I don't go often, only a couple of times a month, but it's my go-to place when I need it. The rotisserie and take-out pasta dishes make you want to come back. The staff is polite and available to explain the daily preparations.

28/01/2026: Yesterday I bought some apple sweets and threw them in the garbage because they were old and the apple was sour. Since it was a bit expensive, I expected a sublime dessert but it was a disappointment.

05/06/2026: I've been wanting to say hello to the great Tommy for a while, as a radio and television fan, so this evening, in the absence of other evenings, being before the weekend and meeting up with friends after commitments nearby, I was able to enjoy an excellent menu with various well-filled panzerotti, an appetizer where they absolutely didn't care about the bread and mozzarella, and a dessert which, in addition to its deliciousness, kindness, and workmanship, could not fail to take a great selfie, as a first time. Very reasonable prices, I also recommend the outdoor tables which, despite being on the sidewalk, are instead very comfortable, especially on a nice evening, in fact we ended the evening as customers. Thanks again for everything, I also introduced my friends to this person of yours.

Oliviero, the host, innkeeper, and poet, welcomes you with warmth and simplicity; his delightful daughters will serve you promptly and cordially; his wife, Mirella, assisted in the kitchen by Antonietta, prepares flavorful dishes that will be served in generous portions. Tip: Stop by Acaya and the trattoria and, after enjoying a delicious dinner, enjoy the peaceful village with its splendid view of the castle and the narrow streets.

12/07/2026: We booked a picnic, but due to bad weather, it was held on the veranda, so our review can't be complete because the food wasn't brought to the outdoor tables in baskets. It was more of an aperitif. We booked a vegetarian and a regular menu, but when they brought it to our table together, it wasn't clear which was mine and which was my partner's. The portions are generous for the price; the non-alcoholic cocktail was very good, while the alcoholic one was served in a plastic glass, not a cocktail glass, so the portion was smaller. The cocktail was free with the coupon, perhaps for that reason? The food was excellent, except for the burrata, which was unsalted. The picnic menu could be improved, however. Perhaps savory pies, cheeses with compotes... in short, a menu designed for picnics. A very nice and welcoming location.

03/07/2026: The few times I go down, Pirata restaurant is a regular stop. Renovated and very welcoming, the food is delicious, and the French wine recommended by the owner Raffaele is excellent. Highly recommended.

20/04/2026: While on vacation in the area, we tried the local specialties, the pistachio arancini... absolutely divine! They were so delicious. We got takeout. Really inexpensive. Parking can be tricky at times; there's a paid parking lot a 5-minute walk away. And if you go in the evening, I recommend taking a stroll through the town center—perfect for a little walk.

16/07/2026: Today I ordered and paid at 12:08 (as shown on the receipt) for fried calamari, which I received at 12:50 after complaining that at least four people who had ordered the same thing after me were served first. The thing that bothered me most was that the lady serving insisted that everyone else had ordered before me, when in reality they all arrived after me. Sometimes you have to admit your mistake, but that's not the case here.

21/06/2026: As Romeo la Contana already wrote, highly recommended, but I'd like to give the chef a piece of advice: be a little more daring with the oil, adding a pinch of spicy flavor. The dishes are still very generous. Congratulations, it wasn't worth the money.

18/05/2026: We had the Pucca Italian burger with octopus, it was amazing! Really delicious and filling, the bun was incredible. I also highly recommend the Aperol spritz, inexpensive and very well served. The staff were super friendly 👍

05/06/2026: Paying €22 for a Margherita, a Rossa with parmesan and prosciutto, and a portion of fries would be questionable enough, but receiving an order in these conditions is simply unacceptable. The pizza was a disaster: raw on the bottom and burned on the top, with a soft, rubbery dough that couldn't even be cut with a knife. The mozzarella was poor quality, and the overall flavor left much to be desired. To make matters worse, the pizzas arrived all battered, with the toppings piled up on one side due to evidently careless transportation. Prices are typical of a quality pizzeria, and the product and service are simply unacceptable. A terrible experience in every way. Never again.

22/04/2026: Both the classic pizza and the scrochiarella (one of the few pizzerias in Taranto offering this variation) are delicious. The location is strategic, being in the center but also close to the seafront, making it easy to reach on foot or by car. Definitely worth a try!

04/11/2025: This is a fine B&B with a pool, but nothing more than that. Absolutely not a "resort" (that's completely overselling it) and certainly not a hotel. After 1 p.m., there's no one around, no life, and this until 10-11 p.m., when guests trickle back in from their day trips. No manned reception, no cozy bar, no restaurant. Only rooms with breakfast, albeit including excellent breakfast service from the two ladies! We had to sleep in our same sheets for seven days, and no sheets were changed. All in all, "correct," but not the promised highlight as advertised. The location is very quiet: when we arrived at 8:15 p.m., it was completely dark, and we even drove right past it, looking for the entrance (the discreet, closed black gate). Centrally located for excursions in Puglia.

26/10/2025: A magnificent stay in a magical place with a splendid view and attentive staff; we felt right at home. We would like to thank Michel, who was extremely kind and professional throughout our stay. He even prepared breakfast for us very early because we had a plane. I recommend this hotel.

15/04/2026: I was on a business trip to Taranto, and had dinner for two on April 14. The meal included mussels au gratin, mussels with pepper, linguine with clams, and seafood cavatelli. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. The waiter was also friendly. I definitely recommend it.

12/04/2026: Highly recommended for a mystical experience somewhere between the Bronx and the favelas. The back room not only isn't up to code, I don't think it even exists on the maps. The stove was connected with duct tape. Expired drinks. And the highlight of the mystical experience was a cigarette butt in the frying pan; at least it was well-fried. I've eaten badly many times in my life, but I've never left a review for a place. But this one deserves it. Highly recommended, especially if you're running out of vacation time and want to take a few days off to avoid food poisoning. Top.

29/12/2025: Mediocre pizza, neither Roman-style nor Neapolitan-style. It seemed more like a piadina. The lady at the cash register was smiling and served us promptly. The dining room needs a bit of a cleanup, because self-service is fine, but the tables need to be cleaned better, and the chair cushions should be attached, otherwise it's difficult to leave your seat. Prices are a bit high for the quality; I was expecting a regular pizza, not a very thin piadina with a slightly burnt edge. I wasn't impressed.
