27/09/2025: We were guests at this trattoria. The food was excellent and plentiful. The staff was super helpful and attentive. The location was very well-maintained and classy. A special thanks goes to Mrs. Nunzia and Mr. Bruno, who made themselves available in every way... many thanks from Vincenza and Diego of Frosinone.

25/09/2025: Meat and fish Compared to the crowded, commercial restaurants in San Giovanni Rotondo near the sanctuary, you can eat here in peace and quiet, and well. We're about ten kilometers, maybe less, from the sanctuary. Ample parking. There are outdoor tables. Quick service. I highly recommend it compared to the crowds near the sanctuary.

18/10/2025: Probably the best panna cotta I’ll ever eat in my life, the consistency and flavour was amazing. Our sweet and helpful server Manuella said she’s the one who makes all the desserts herself - compliments ! The meals, decorations and atmosphere were homey and authentic-feeling — overall a very lovely dinner.

14/10/2025: Historic trattoria. Friendly staff. Good food, highly recommended for anyone in the area, even late at night. Traditional trattoria atmosphere.

12/09/2025: Excellent raw seafood, a shame it was the only positive aspect of the dinner. In the two fried cuttlefish dishes we ordered, the cuttlefish had the consistency of a tire! The potatoes, like the aforementioned fried dishes, were made with used oil. As for the service, I note the chipped plates (all of them), the haste in clearing away the glasses we were still drinking from, and the lack of preparation by one of the wait staff, unaware of the contents of the dishes offered. I doubt we'll be back.

06/08/2025: Honestly it was an incredible hotel, slightly lost in the middle of the olive groves to be quiet but at the same time next to Avetrana and 15 minutes from the beach, the location is perfect already. Rest assured dear reader because that is not the only good thing about this hotel 😍. Already the arrival after a long day of driving with super friendly staff, very attentive even, and especially a small arrival drink offered 🫣. The room is large, space, clean, full of local products like soaps for example, and above all it is cool in it, the dream with this heat 🥵. The swimming pool is just magnificent, not too crowded, with deckchairs by the water, small olive trees, we are really comfortable there and that is saying something 😎. The breakfasts are very very good, lots of choice with delicious and local products. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the cleaning ladies who were always very smiling and kind, the bar and restaurant staff and especially Laeticia, she gave us a lot of advice on things to visit which were all great, always attentive, and who gave us a superb wine and olive oil tasting, sharing all her knowledge with us, it was really good 😀. The best hotel in Italy by far I would say, go there without hesitation!!!!!

01/10/2025: Excellent appetizers, thin, crispy pizza, really tasty, dessert was not bad, but I recommend offering other options... very kind waitress, reasonable wait times, and above all excellent quality-price ratio!!! The fixed menu at €14 is really very good... we've already been there 3 or 4 times, we'll be back, and we highly recommend it... great job!

15/11/2025: I liked the restaurant, the atmosphere and service were excellent, the dishes ordered were decent, it’s better to order in advance, the dessert seemed very simple, puff pastry with custard, overall an interesting place I recommend visiting.

10/10/2025: We ordered two seafood risottos, they smelled bad, we called the waitress and after pointing out the defect, they called the owner who, according to him, was the smell of the sea (but polluted), he suggested we change and so we ordered a spaghetti with garlic and oil, once they arrived we were satisfied that they were floating in butter, we moved on to the second courses, fried prawns and calamari, even worse, hard prawns and soft calamari, finally the bill arrived, we paid and left with our legs raised, a harmony of what in my opinion was disgusting

05/10/2025: I went with my family for lunch on Sunday and unfortunately we weren't at all satisfied. We didn't order the set menu, but rather the à la carte. We waited an hour for our first course. When we asked for the second course (grilled octopus and sliced ​​steak), we were told we'd have to wait another 40 minutes...excessive in my opinion. We were told that if we didn't want to wait too long, we should opt for the mixed fried fish. So we decided to leave, recommending they only order the set menu on Sundays and nothing else, because it's absurd to wait so long for two roasts. We paid a whopping €103 for three first courses, a bottle of water, and three sorbets. The waiter apologized and was kind, but the restaurant, whoever was in charge, wasn't even capable of apologizing or adjusting the price we paid given the poor service. I sincerely hope they manage to organize themselves better in the future, although I don't think I'll return. I'M RESPONDING TO THE OWNER. WE WERE NOT WARNED THAT WE WOULD HAVE A WAIT AN HOUR FOR OUR FIRST COURSE. ONLY WHEN WE REQUESTED A SECOND COURSE WERE WE TOLD THAT WE HAD TO WAIT ANOTHER 40 MINUTES. THE MENU PUBLISHED ONLINE SAYS A FIRST COURSE IS 20 EUROS, BUT WE PAID 25. REGARDING THE RESERVATION, WE CALLED BEFORE ARRIVING AT YOUR RESTAURANT. GET INFORMED BEFORE YOU SAY NONSENSE AND CONTINUE WITH THE APOLOGIES. YOU'LL MAKE A BETTER IMPRESSION BY SIMPLY SAYING "SORRY!"

03/11/2025: The location is lovely, with a large outdoor garden and the traditional interior, but everything else didn't particularly convince me. The price was high for a platter that, according to the waiter who served us, could have been eaten by three people, but was ridiculously large enough for two; the third would have eaten the crumbs. The white bread wasn't fresh that day. A somewhat disappointing personal experience.

11/10/2025: A worthwhile find slightly off the beaten track with a spacious outdoor terrace with shaded area. We stopped for coffee & cake so can recommend the Tiramisu and Coconut and Nutella torte! The service was good and WC clean & pleasant to use. It wasn't busy so couldn't comment on atmosphere and didn't venture into the indoor part.

15/08/2025: Dinner with the family. We didn't use the rooms. As for the food, you have to like their vegan approach. For me (a carnivore), the appetizer was excellent, the first course was perhaps a bit too heavy, and the dessert was delicious. We didn't order the second course because we were too full. What's striking, however, is the tranquility of the place, a true oasis of peace just steps from the road. Add to that a lovely welcome from Francesca, and you've got a truly relaxing evening.

05/05/2025: Eating at Piccapane is a unique experience: a family environment surrounded by greenery where you can enjoy excellent vegan dishes prepared with attention and love. This was the feeling we felt yesterday at lunch, from the welcome from the very kind staff to the tasting of the dishes, in the choice of which we were carefully guided. The food is incredible, a joy of simple flavors with refined combinations. There is also a small shop where you can purchase their products. Finding an entirely vegan restaurant in Salento was a dream until recently. Piccapane is truly a virtuous example, spokesperson for a change that we hope will spread more and more. (access is also allowed to animals ❤️)

12/10/2025: The hotel and the rooms are clean. They are cleaned every day. The location is very good, but unfortunately, almost everything is closed during the off-season. The breakfast isn't great; it's the same every day, and there's little choice. What was definitely annoying was the noise from the daily changing tour groups arriving by bus. There was a constant coming and going. Unfortunately, the pool was also closed.

06/09/2025: The hotel met our expectations... perhaps larger wardrobes in the rooms... for us, since there were 4 of us... a two-door wardrobe was really small... The pool was good... The sea was most beautiful in the morning and rough in the afternoon... Beautiful but not the sea of ​​Salento.... In the week of July when we were there, there were few jellyfish... The restaurant and cuisine were superb... We ate in abundance... Fresh fish every day and a very varied menu... The desserts were good... A large buffet every day... Friendly staff, from the waiters... to Mrs. Grazia... to the cleaning ladies... Insufficient parking for hotel guests... You need to book in advance...
