14/02/2026: We arrived, we waited more than 5 minutes to order the meat because they had run out of strips (and that's understandable, absolutely nothing to complain about). Once we were seated, we stayed there for an hour and no one came to take our order. We asked the few waiters (who were clearly struggling) if they could take our order, but they were so fast that they would answer by walking away until one of them said that the person taking the order was at the cash register. One of us went to ask, and finally we were able to order. We arrived at the end of the meal and went to pay, asking for the bill. It was steep and expensive for the amount of meat we'd bought without even bringing wine (considering we've been here in the past and bought even more meat and wine, we paid half the price). I'm sorry, as we had good memories of this place, but we won't be returning. 28/01/2026: We were at this restaurant on a Saturday. They advised us over the phone to arrive around 8:30 pm. We were a table of 12 people. We ate very well and had a truly enjoyable evening. We stayed until after 11 pm. The waiters didn't rush you to clear tables because the restaurant is very large. In addition to the main room, there is a closed gazebo. I must say, it was a truly pleasant experience. We will definitely be back.

10/03/2026: The set menu was nothing special. Overcooked paccheri, pork was okay. You had to get up to get in, despite the three rooms with an entrance used for tables. The waiters were nice, but they forgot to return for the request.

20/02/2026: We found the restaurant with a bit of difficulty because the location listed on Google is behind the restaurant. I've always heard good things about this restaurant, so when it's like this, expectations are high. The appetizer was satisfying (the fried food was a little too greasy), but very filling. The pacchero al pomodoro was precooked but well-seasoned. The main course, unfortunately, disappointed me because it was a bit dry, as if it were cooked in advance and reheated before being served, when in fact it's the dish I've heard the most good things about. I'll definitely be back to give it a second chance. Maybe in the summer, because since it's a pre-established menu, I think they also base it on seasonality, so we'll see if they can fill these slight gaps. The quality/price ratio is in line with the standards. The atmosphere is very friendly and family-friendly. The staff who served us were kind and very helpful. Excellent for family groups or friends.

04/03/2026: Discovered this restaurant-pizzeria while attending a party. Nice location, fairly well-maintained. The food is average in quantity and quality. The pizza is good, though light on toppings. The service is a bit of a letdown: one waiter wasn't the friendliest. The service was also a bit slow. Prices are average. Parking isn't reserved for guests. Everything could be improved. Will try again.

04/01/2026: I had dinner here with friends: there were 16 of us and we ordered appetizers, first courses, second courses, and desserts. We were satisfied with the food and the service. I definitely recommend them.

08/09/2025: A vintage setting with a modern twist, a retro wooden bar, cozy chairs, and a jaw-dropping array of bottles—in short, a place that truly rocks. CONTRABAR in Bisceglie is a place you must try. In the heart of the old town, amidst historic walls and modern vibes, we're in an unconventional spot that transports you to the coolest and most refined side of Puglia. The mood is a perfect blend of refined old and seductive contemporary: warm lighting and retro-inspired furnishings. Here I met Gianni Dell'Olio and Francesco Di Gioia, two bartenders with an incredible background in mixology and drink engineering; they tell you every cocktail like a story, classics, twists, homemade. Just think, in 2017, these two guys first dreamed up an appetizer drink by creating Bitter Violento, and then went on to create BASTALDO, an authentically Apulian artisanal amaro made from blood orange peel and vanilla, spices, and Moscato di Trani, all perfectly blended. I even discovered that Contrabar is among the best rum bars in Italy, branded Isla de Rum, and is considered one of the top 12 national cocktail bars by Gambero Rosso. In short, it's not just any place; here we are at the apotheosis and everything else is boring.

11/11/2025: The outside atmosphere is very spartan. The appetizers are mediocre (one meatball each for four people), and the rest of the dishes are equally so. More than a few were left unserved. The bill was steep, and the service was terrible and unprofessional.

17/10/2025: We had lunch, everything was delicious and we never finished the starters, first courses and second courses, all delicious.

14/02/2026: I'm sorry, but since we came for a bit of relaxation on Valentine's Day, my husband and I were a bit disappointed with the spa experience. Considering the price and the location, it didn't live up to our expectations. The place was clean, small, but well-maintained, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. However, there were two things that really didn't work: there was a very loud couple with us who talked loudly the entire time. We told them twice to keep their voices down, but, being rude as they were, they started talking again after two seconds. There should be more supervision in this regard, as it's a place of relaxation. The second, even more serious, thing that didn't work was this: you can't pay a significant fee and end up leaving with wet hair because there wasn't a working hair dryer. We were told it was because they had overheated due to high consumption on that particular day, but that can't be a problem for the customers since we didn't pay less on that day than on other days. I'm sorry, but we're disappointed.
