28/03/2024: Cons: little choice on the menu, excess salt bordering on edible, no loose white wine, one bottle tasted of cork but it was our fault for not reporting it to the managers because we were sorry given their kindness. The side dish of a dish was wrong (immediately corrected).... and then some slippers on display on the chair at the next table. Service of this kind may be haphazard: but does the bread arrive or not, the coffee... etc etc.
Pros: Very correct prices, the food is really good and in the tradition of our area, the place has been renovated and really well kept, run by a family with a smile and these days...
Highly recommended!!

22/01/2024: When you arrive it seems like a very small bar, but once inside you find a staircase that leads to the floor below where there is a beautiful room excellent for birthdays, meetings or small ceremonies. The service is very courteous and the barmaid is extremely sweet. The aperitif is also good.
19/12/2023: We didn't have a bad experience, but a little more courtesy from the girl at the counter wouldn't have gone amiss. She seemed a little annoyed serving us. A smile costs little.

04/04/2024: Very tasty food, I had fresh fish with potatoes. Also great homemade ice cream and various sweet desserts! The service was also friendly and quick, the nice lady behind the counter was very helpful with her recommendations :). Therefore definitely worth a visit before or after the botanical garden.

As for soft drinks and drinks, they are taken directly from the fridge and placed on your table.
It's a shame, as the place is conducive to reading or gentle discussions.

23/03/2024: Magnificent restaurant as much for its location as for its cuisine. Often staying on Lake Maggiore, tacabutun delights me every season. A sure value... Vitello tonato - fritto misto - costolette milanese - risotti - tiramisu! Treat yourself !

11/05/2024: Great service, very nice and helpful. The food delicious. Special requests were also addressed without any problems. Only the service fee is too high at 3 per person
11/05/2024: Service is friendly but totally overwhelmed.
The food is nothing special and the waiting times are unacceptable, even when it is busy.
Drinks with our meal only came after the meal and after asking three times.
The ambience is quite nice.
If you want to eat there, it's best only when half the restaurant is full.
It's a shame but we won't be able to visit the restaurant again.

07/01/2024: Schönes Ambiente an einem schönen Sommerabend. 3 Gönge Menü für 5 Personen. Keiner musste lange auf sein Essen warten. Der Service war gut eingespielt und wir wurden gefragt ob wir bereits den nächsten Gang haben möchten oder ob wir noch etwas warten wollen. Preis Leistung Top. Wir haben für 2 Flaschen Wein und 5x 3 Gänge ca 250€ gezahlt. Also alles im ganzen ein schöner Abend

18/08/2023: Classica Casa del Popolo , una delle poche rimaste sul territorio . Ambiente esterno con tavoli di pietra molto rilassante e fresco . Gestione famigliare professionale , ma molto amichevole. Carta con il giusto numero di piatti alternati tra carne e pesce. Tra le proposte assaggiate menzione di merito per il lardo ossolano servito nel tagliere assieme a salame e prosciutto , accompagnati da gnocco fritto. Non male la pasta al pesto servita in porzione camionista , molto buono il fritto misto calamari e gamberi proposto in grande porzione a un prezzo civile. Vino della casa e qualche altra bevanda per digerire il malloppo , il tutto a 30 euro a testa il che ci ha condotto a una seconda visita a poca distanza , anche questa chiusa favorevolmente e alle stesse condizioni . Prezzo/qualità e servizio al meglio per questa tipologia di locale . Da visitare
