05/05/2025: Ormai da decenni frequentiamo questo bel locale sul lungo lago. Lista di cocktail, birre e vino immensa e ottima. Mojito Estremadura super top, vale il viaggio. Si può anche mangiare.

30/12/2023: We had been looking for a restaurant for a long time that made good polenta on Lake Maggiore, without having to go somewhere far away and in the mountains, well we found it a few days ago on Google, right in the center of the pedestrian area of ​​Verbania. Characteristic and very beautiful place, in keeping with the name of the inn, not very large, with 2 rooms and about thirty seats, it is not easy to find, although in the pedestrian center of beautiful Verbania, because it is a small street with few shops and parallel to the main, more frequented uphill street, but it is well indicated with signs, on the right starting from the main square of the town and on Google Maps. The owner Miriam's welcome was very warm and smiling, immediately putting us at ease and describing the dishes on the menu with her good typical cuisine, with the 4 types of polenta, the cold cuts with local cheeses and the tigelle made by them, so this inn can be better defined as "Polenteria e tigelleria", apologizing for having excluded from the menu, the first courses that they cooked until a few months ago. My wife and I tried 2 types of polenta, the "concia" with butter and melted cheeses and the one with chopped wild boar, cooked very well and soft (for those who don't know, wild boar meat is typically very tough being a wild animal and not farmed) and the polenta, as well as being very good, is soft and cooked in such a way as to make it easy on digestion, and is served in a terracotta crock which keeps it warm and tasty. We also tasted 2 of the many homemade desserts, the fabulous tiramisu and the soft (..never tried before...) meringue with caramel, also exquisite, accompanying the dishes with ¼ of a good house Barbera red wine, a liter of demineralised mineral water and 2 deca coffees, for a total of €38.50, which I consider to be an excellent quality/price ratio, given the refinement of the good basic products and excellent light and digestible cuisine. The owner was very nice and sociable during our lunch, describing in great detail the products sought and used for each dish on the menu, highlighting the local origin and their quality. She also offered us free of charge at the end of the meal, a good typical Sardinian liqueur, Mirto, handcrafted by her mother. Coming often to the area for our leisure throughout the year and living in a nearby but less beautiful area, we will return to taste, in addition to the other polenta offered on the menu (..with gorgonzola and truffle 😋), also the good homemade tigelle, the local cured meats and cheeses and the good homemade desserts (panna cotta, various tarts, etc.) that Miriam prepares daily, I recommend it to you too, if you come to the area and you want to try something special and of quality, without spending a lot of money 😉.

03/12/2024: Le piadine sono molto buone e generose e sicuramente sono un punto di riferimento in zona. L'ambiente avrebbe bisogno di una rinfrescata e soprattutto i servizi igienici fanno schifo e cosi messi sono poco rispettosi per i clienti.

18/11/2024: Il locale, che è in una zona residenziale a dieci minuti a piedi dal Tribunale di Verbania, è praticamente una voliera. Ma non si tratta dei luridi piccioni; sarete circondati da piccoli uccelletti carini che non disturbano, se non avete la fobia degli uccelli. Personale cortese ed efficiente, ma soprattutto ho mangiato la migliore piadina della mia vita (nella specie, una TexMex, ma hanno una enorme varietà).

22/05/2025: Ci siamo arrivati wuasi per caso e non sapevamo cosa attenderci ed è stata una stupenda sorpresa. La strada per arrivare è veramente tortuosa e a volte si pensa di aver sbagliato ma le indicazioni ci sono e sono confortanti, dopo tanti tornanti in mezzo al bosco. Il posto è incredibile, una vista mozzafiato sul lago e sulle valli. La titolare e il personale sono gentilissimi. Noi abbiamo dormito nella torre ed è stata veramente un' esperienza incredibile! Sia l'aperitivo che la cena e la colazione sono stati veramente ottimi. Cibo fatto in casa genuino e gustoso. Spero di tornarci presto.

04/05/2025: Posto incantevole per vista e posizione. Strada tutt'altro che semplice e sicura, fatta di tornanti, tanti, per piccoli medi mezzi, non totalmente in sicurezza per assenza di parapetti. Non abbiamo usufruito delle stanze ma solo de ristorante. Ristorante con bella vista. Più della cucina. Cucina casalinga di media, normale qualità. Eccezionale la confettura in accompagnamento al tagliere di formaggi. Le altre portate, nel menu degustazione, al costo contenuto di 30.€ che però non giustifica la qualità la solo la quantità e scelta, totalmente ordinarie. Dagli antipasti, ai ravioli, al maiale. Molto misurato e empatico e non invadente ma attento il servizio di un giovane ma capace cameriere. Da provare per panorama, luogo e posizione. Ordinario il menù e la qualità

30/04/2025: Proposte varie e ben strutturate, per ogni gusto, considerando le proposte dello chef impeccabili... Ottima locazione nel centro vitale della frazione Intra di Verbania, la piazza Ranzoni. Piattti freschi, insalatone complete ed equilibrate, primi classici e rivisitati, secondi di carne e pesce con tocchi personali; pizze e hamburger immancabili, d'altronde è un posto turistico Non avendo preso il dolce, ma avendo dato un'occhiata non si può dire che manchino di scelta e qualità... Ordinando solo una tartare di tonno dai sapori mediterranei, una frizzante e un caffè sono stato molto bene e andrò via con il sorriso e soddisfatto della pausa pranzo Consiglio vivamente di passarci, soprattutto in mezzo alla settimana PS: Cocktail serali per ogni gusto e vasta selezione di gin per pomeriggi di relax e chiacchiere sotto gli ombrelloni

30/03/2025: Servizio veloce con personale gradevole, panini giganti con ingredienti di ottima qualità che ne giustificano il prezzo . Bravi

20/08/2024: Petite gelateria artisanale un peu excentrée mais qui vaut vraiment le détour. Il y a quelques tables et chaises pour déguster les glaces à l ‘extérieur. On vous recommande « passione », « biscotto » et une glace qui ressemblait un peu à de la chantilly.

10/08/2024: Glacier artisanal qui appartient à la 'Casa del Dolce' et situé par ailleurs non loin de cette dernière pâtisserie. Une petite boutique qui ne paie pas vraiment de mine avec un choix plutôt restreint de parfums en exposition, sans vraie grande originalité. Après dégustation, j'avoue avoir été vraiment surpris en bien. Une glace de très bonne qualité (du moins pour les 3 parfums testés), selon mes préférences parfaitement équilibrée en bouche. Vraiment la glace que j'ai préférée de tous les glaciers visités sur Intra.
