30/07/2025: La pizza veramente buona, location particolare, in una corte con giardino nel centro fi Pallanza, anche il dolce squisito. Ci torneremo.

19/07/2025: Abbiamo pranzato ieri, all aperto, tortiglioni alla norma e frittata di cipolle prezzo assolutamente ottimo per un pranzo veloce e un buonissimo tiramisù il tutto per€25 in due.

18/06/2025: la danse des papilles, la gastronomie italienne à portée de bourse. nous nous sommes régalés durant une semaine. dans une ambiance sympa au bord d’un petit port et à l’ombre des magnolias. Servi aimable sympathique ce qui ajoute au plaisir. nous reviendrons. merci

06/06/2025: Wir waren gleich zweimal hier, so gut hat es uns gefallen. Vorgestern am Mittag, heute zum Abendessen. Vom Empfang über den Service bis zur Küche war alles perfekt. Die Küche besticht mit Liebe zum Detail, die Speisen sind geschmacklich gut abgestimmt und diskret gewürzt. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Vorgestern hatten wir beide den exotischen Salat mit Gamberi. Danach hatte ich die Spaghetti alla Chitarra und meine Frau den Branzino. Heute hatten wir als Vorspeise die Parmigiana di Melanzane. Danach Gnocchi und nochmals den Branzino. Die Portionen sind genau richtig, damit auch ein Dessert Platz hat, ein Panna Cotta und ein Tiramisu. Beim nächsten Besuch am Lago Maggiore steht dieses Restaurant wieder auf unserer Liste.

05/10/2025: Super attentive service, fantastic food, fresh porcini mushrooms with pasta, polenta, and risotto. Very tasty. It wasn't on the menu.

03/09/2025: We stopped in here quite by chance and were completely surprised. Super friendly and fast service, delicious pizza calzone, and spaghetti with venison ragù at reasonable prices.

29/08/2025: The pizza was okay, but the lasagna was awful. Unfortunately, we couldn't finish it. We wouldn't come back.

24/08/2025: Tried it today for lunch. The welcome was excellent. The mixed antipasti were delicious and varied, something for everyone (pickles, cold cuts, omelette, etc.). The mushroom risotto was superb, prepared with a real broth and you could taste it; it was perfectly cooked. The polenta was tender, with braised beef. The desserts were excellent (not mass-produced). Excellent value for money.

The staff was attentive, helpful, and genuinely welcoming — you can tell they care about every customer who walks through the door. The coffee here is excellent — rich, smooth, and full of flavor. Whether you’re having a classic espresso or a creamy cappuccino, you won’t be disappointed. I also tried a freshly baked pastry, and it was simply delicious — light, flaky, and made with care. They offer a nice selection of sweet and savory snacks that are ideal for a quick break or a light lunch. The interior is stylish yet relaxed, making it a great place to sit down with friends or even work on your laptop for a while. It has that special atmosphere that makes you feel at home, while still being vibrant and alive. 21/08/2025: I don't recommend this restaurant. Prices are high for the low quality. I found a dead spider on the bread, which was also served dry, and the dessert seemed like it was from the frozen food section of the supermarket, priced at €6.

16/07/2025: Ho avuto modo di pranzare piu' di una volta in questo ristorante nel corso del tempo e devo dire che mi sono sempre trovata bene. Ottimo cibo e personale cortese. Bella terrazza con vista.

25/06/2025: Ho avuto il piacere di pranzare e cenare per due giorni presso il ristorante Il Rifugio, scelto e selezionato dalla mia azienda per un soggiorno di lavoro. Fin dal primo momento, il locale ha trasmesso una sensazione di cura e accoglienza: ordine e pulizia impeccabili, un ambiente davvero piacevole e ben tenuto. Ogni piatto servito è stato una piacevole scoperta: la presentazione curata nei minimi dettagli, capace di valorizzare al meglio le portate, e il gusto... semplicemente eccellente. Si percepisce chiaramente la scelta di materie prime di alta qualità e un’attenzione particolare nella preparazione. Il servizio è stato all’altezza delle aspettative: personale cordiale, attento e professionale, sempre disponibile e con il sorriso. Ottimq esperienza gastronomica che ha superato ogni aspettativa, rendendo il soggiorno ancora più piacevole. Consiglio vivamente Il Rifugio a chi cerca una cucina di qualità in un ambiente curato e accogliente.

21/10/2025: I've recently placed several orders for home delivery via WhatsApp and by phone. Despite specifying "Whatsapp" in CAPITALS and "Call me a call," the delivery has always been made to my main address rather than the one I provided. I can't understand how they could get it wrong four times! I also don't understand why they don't read the address!

30/06/2025: We went to this restaurant on Monday 25/06, after visiting the splendid garden of Villa Taranto, and we found a sign saying it will reopen on 02/07. Obviously, before taking a walk of over 2 km, we consulted both the restaurant's FB page and its Google profile, but in both cases the restaurant was regularly open. Other people were there and had the same misadventure as us. However, if this is respect for their customers, they would be happy to go eat elsewhere.

25/05/2025: English: We were visiting the botanical garden and we were hungry, I found this little place on Google Maps with very positive ratings and we decided to try it, I think it was one of the best choices ever made. A fixed daily menu, with three options of first course to choose from and 3 options of a second course to choose from, we chose baked pasta and seafood risotto as first courses, as second courses baked chicken and potatoes and ribs with sausage with baked potatoes, I can say excellent quality and also perfect quantity. We also managed to get a dessert that we shared, a very very good blueberry cheesecake. The lady who runs it was very kind and helpful. Very pleasant and quiet atmosphere perfect for a relaxing day. When we return to visit Lake Maggiore we will definitely return to try some other dish of the day. I am truly very satisfied overall. Thank you for this magnificent lunch
