18/08/2024: Cercavamo una pizzeria vicino al nostro albergo perché troppo stanchi per fare tanta strada in auto. Abbiamo trovato un posto che definirei nella norma, senza infamia e senza lode. Ci ha serviti una cameriera gentile e sorridente. L'impasto della pizza per i miei gusti un pochino troppo dura da tagliare ma assolutamente mangiabile, buono il condimento. Abbiamo visto che il menu offre anche altri piatti ma non abbiamo sperimentato. Dessert discreti ma non estusiasmanti. Un po' di caos per uscire dal posteggio strapieno di auto ma vicino a ferragosto direi che può capitare. Prezzi decisamente contenuti.

08/06/2024: Nice place directly on the banks of the Ticino, the cuisine is very good, the chef is able to cook many delicious dishes and the choice on the menu is vast, I recommend the fish-based dishes, but the land ones are also very good, they are I was impressed by the fresh pasta with cheese and pepper, never eaten so good, also the fried foods are not bad, low prices and helpful waiters, midday menu at a fixed price €12 including drinks!!!

31/08/2024: Io e il mio gruppo di amici siamo arrivati da varallo sesia e abbiamo tentato di entrare nel locale venerdì 30 per festeggiare il mio compleanno. Dei nsotri amici sono arrivati davanti al locale prima 2 ragazzi e 2 ragazze che sono stati fatti entrare senza nessun problema. Dopo circa 15 minuti siamo arrivati io, il mio fidanzato marocchino, un altro ragazzo marocchino e altre due ragazze. Bravissimi ragazzi, vestiti anche molto eleganti. Ci è stato detto che non potevamo entrare, senza neanche chiederci un documento, dicendo che la serata non era 18+ ma 20+ se non oltre. Tutto ciò quando i nostri amici della nostra stessa età, e che esteticamente sembravano anche più piccoli, erano stati fatti entrare 15 minuti prima. Dopo averlo riferito ai bodyguard, le scuse usate sono state che i nostri amici prima erano a coppie e altre scuse molto vaghe e confuse rendendo evidente che non sapessero come giustificarsi. I nostri amici sono poi tornati fuori, dopo aver buttato 15€ a testa e senza essere stati rimborsati. Una parola. Schifo. Nel 2024 devono ancora essere vissute ingiustizie simili.

01/09/2024: We're not coming anymore!!! At the end of August we went to this campsite as a couple with a dog. After a long drive and after 7 p.m. we arrived and wanted to book in for a few days. We had announced by email that we would stay for about 5 days. We only knew about the place from the internet and unfortunately we weren't able to see what the facility looked like before checking in. So, and also because time was of the essence, we checked in and paid for 5 days. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a capital and expensive mistake for us. When we arrived at the pitch, which was densely surrounded by other guests, there was unfortunately only electricity and not water as promised. We parked our motor home and went for a walk with our dog. Our disappointment was huge - there was not enough green on the pitch or outside. The square is located directly on a main street in the industrial area. There is no opportunity here for hiking or even just a walk with your four-legged friend. There is only a short beach on the site, completely overcrowded with guests and muddy in the shore area. The three existing sanitary areas were even worse. Dirty and unkempt, about 25-30 years old. The toilets without glasses and mostly without paper. As other guests have already reported, there are often noisy flight operations and anyone looking for relaxation and some peace and quiet will be bothered by loud loudspeaker announcements with animation notices. It was clear to us that we would continue traveling. The next morning we wanted to check out and continue our journey. This is where the big finale came. The employee at the reception refused to bill for the exact day and insisted on full payment for the 5 days, at least €250. From our point of view, this was unjustified, as we only provided approximate information about the stay and there were places available. But we were literally told “this is our policy”. I accused the lady of ripping off people and asked to speak to management. I was denied that. Very upset and considering contacting our lawyer about the incident, we drove on. Well, believe me, every cent is wasted here and only the Italian restaurant next door deserves praise.

31/08/2024: We were there for 10 days at the end of August. Camping area is by the lake, there is a small playground, but it is only interesting for small children. Now at the end of the season there is hardly any choice of ice cream and food in the beach bistro. You could only choose between 2 flavors of ice cream. Toilets with no toilet paper and no lights. When asked, it just said "Light not working"... The fresh water hose is also used to clean the chemical toilets; the chemical toilet and gray water go into a grated shaft next to it. Not very appetizing... Depending on the day of the week, a lot of aircraft noise. Maybe ok for a cheap stopover, but I won't book there for a real vacation anymore.

25/08/2024: Pizzeria visited on 25 August 2021. Updated to 08/24/2024. We have always returned to this pizzeria once or twice a year, on the occasion of our traditional holiday on Lake Orta. The Mottarone pizza (tomato, mozzarella, Piedmontese cheese, speck and porcini mushrooms, rocket which I hate and don't allow) is always superb. An excellent, richly seasoned dough, with delicious mushrooms. Really excellent. Cornice of the right size, not too much, not too little, crunchy on the surface and soft on the inside. Price of pizza 10 euros: just 50 cents more than in 2021. Then meringue (price 6 euros like all desserts), really excellent. Not a slice as usual, but a cake of considerable size served on a blackboard stone with a very nice icing sugar decoration (see photo). The service was good, friendly and helpful. Total price for two Mottarone pizzas, two meringue pies, half a liter of white in a carafe, one mineral and obviously two place settings: 44.50 euros. As long as we come on holiday to Lake Orta we will definitely return to this pizzeria. Attention: the place closes at 10pm, so you need to arrive not too much after 9pm.

23/08/2024: its an honest place not to fancy which i personally like, it might not be for everyone though. service is great, food is good. i can recommend this place wholeheartedly as we have been here three times allready.

21/06/2024: Lunch with relatives. All good and plentiful. The mushroom risotto melted in your mouth. The pappardelle with wild boar went down wonderfully. Meat and fish accompanied by a good bulk wine. Desserts not bad.

19/06/2024: Friendly staff, average home-cooked food, as second I DO NOT recommend the fish, especially the grilled prawns (which are not cleaned but served anyway😲), instead I RECOMMEND the beef fillet steak (very tender), appetizer of mixed cold cuts and vegetables buffet, medium-low price

07/07/2024: Nel complesso una pizza di media qualità , un po' gommosa e a mio avviso poco digeribile ................ sarebbe servito un buon sorbetto al Limone. Il locale molto bello: ampio e tavoli distanziati. Il servizio è buono.

29/08/2024: Tonight I got the takeaway pizza, it was "DISHABLE". The crust was a brick, raw in the middle. I was hoping that the pizza chef, while on holiday, would take an accelerated course as a pizza chef, there are free courses on YouTube but, unfortunately for many customers, they wait until Friday to get pizza in the square, from the mobile pizzeria. Unfortunately, the bald guy won't improve, his pizzas will always be disgusting, even more so

14/07/2024: Nice place and good food. It is easily accessible and has plenty of (free) parking spaces. The place was full of local people, and a lot of food was also picked up to eat elsewhere. That is always a sign of quality. The staff made a pleasant impression and seemed to have many pleasant conversations with the guests. (We didn't speak Italian, so no idea what was said) The food was very good. We had a mixed fish dish and a mixed meat dish. The focus of this restaurant is on pizzas and pasta, and yet it was delicious, well prepared, and beautifully presented. We didn't expect it so we gave a big tip.
