14/04/2026: Very disappointing service. The welcome was unpleasant, both from the man and the woman. I ordered a pizza with anchovies, but was served a pizza with several unwanted ingredients, which I found inedible. I asked for spicy oil to accompany the pizza, but was told it wasn't available, so I was brought olive oil instead. I also asked for a digestif, but it never arrived. The bill included a "coperto" charge, in addition to water, pizza, and beer. Overall negative experience: unprofessional service and mediocre pizza quality.

10/03/2026: We were passing through and decided to stop for lunch. Everything was fine until they served us the grilled fish. Shrimp served with the whole intestines on display. Disgusting!!

16/03/2026: I ordered two pizzas, one with fries and another with fries and sausage. The dough was bland, the fries were raw, and the pizza itself was hard, almost like a schiacciata. I'm sorry, but I won't order it again.

That's why choosing La Sirena requires a certain clarity: that of someone who already knows how it will end. A word of advice for those considering it: accept it. The evening will end with a gentle but constant disappointment, the kind that makes no noise but still leaves its mark... or rather, doesn't leave one at all. And that's a shame, because the location has its charm and could easily offer an experience worthy of the setting. But then the menu arrives, and everything is scaled down: rather than a cuisine with a distinct identity, it seems like a proposal designed to remain discreet, a sort of gastronomic comfort zone that all too closely resembles a somewhat overstated children's menu. If you really want to save the evening, perhaps the most sensible choice is to focus on the pizza and not ask too many questions. For the rest, it's better to enjoy Arona... and dine elsewhere.

22/11/2025: A small, informal yet quaint restaurant with simple yet delicious food and very helpful and friendly staff. I recommend making a reservation because there aren't many seats. Prices are fair. You feel right at home in a family atmosphere. A pleasant evening. Upon arrival, a complimentary glass of prosecco was much appreciated. Wood-fired pizza also available for takeout. They were super accommodating because I had a reservation for two on Saturday evening and couldn't make it because I wasn't feeling well. I asked if it was a problem if only my husband was going, and they accepted immediately (on a Saturday evening). I'd say this isn't for everyone.

22/08/2025: Excellent lakefront restaurant. Accessible from both the Rose campsite and the external road. Excellent dishes with a good seasonal selection. Good wine selection. Very friendly and professional service. Donatella, the chef, besides preparing excellent dishes, is friendly and welcoming. A lovely place for both lunch and dinner. Highly recommended.

06/08/2025: The pizzas were adequately sized, but the quality was extremely poor. The spaghetti portion was so small that I asked if they were serious. On top of that, they charged €13 even for the smaller children's spaghetti. In short, nothing about this place was right. I absolutely do not recommend it! There are much better alternatives nearby.

07/02/2026: HORRIBLE! Rude staff. We say hello (obviously without a response) and ask the waitress if we can sit at a table, but she responds with a huff and a huff in an annoyed and rude manner. So we move to the bar next door (where they were nice), and as we walk away, we hear the waitress loudly commenting on what happened with her colleague, using discriminatory and offensive terms.

08/11/2025: A well-stocked store with niche products, but prices are a bit steep. What leaves me perplexed is that no one has ever told the counter clerk (the one in charge of the meat) that it's not okay to eat while working. Every time I go to this store, He's always there, munching on something. And, honestly, it's not a pretty sight.

06/05/2026: Pizzoccheri alla Valtellinese – good, under-seasoned, lacking sage. A modest portion. Shank with baked potatoes – tasted like pork, but differed significantly in size. Served Italian-style, without the burnt skin, but still delicious. Very good desserts: lemon tart and a delicious dark chocolate soufflé.

14/05/2026: What a great experience it’s like something inside some movie of “Queen’s lunch room”🎥 I have an ever get fastest service. Traditional food prepared by them. Wanna be there again .

06/04/2026: We stopped by chance during a motorcycle ride, attracted by the sign "Osteria," which has nothing to do with an osteria... and as soon as we entered, a smell of smoke permeated the old furniture. There's no menu, no prices. We chose, on the cook's advice, an appetizer and a first course of ravioli, where everything was very salty, but tasty, and I don't like too much salt, so I left some food behind... As for the service, I can give a positive note... Too much for an osteria, but it had to justify the price. At the checkout, €100. Let's just say, hope they rip you off for good.
