08/03/2025: I can't review the food as I haven't tried it. The place is well furnished and the owner is very nice. Arriving from the hour corner, walking towards the station, you will find it on the left at the foot locker. You enter the alley and the restaurant is on the right. At the entrance to the alley there is a blackboard to indicate the place. A splendid surprise, it stands out in front of the patron of the place.

17/03/2025: Those who enter the "cyclist's restaurant" are either by pure chance (but it's not so easy to find) or because they want to try an old-fashioned experience, immersing themselves in a surreal and timeless atmosphere. After several years, I returned out of curiosity, quite prepared for what I might find and would have gladly paid even just for that. On weekdays, for lunch, there is a fixed menu, with a bit of choice from what they have prepared, at €13 and, if possible, they accept some requests... you have to put it into context for what you pay. I heard some phrases from the elderly owners and found them funny, they have probably been part of the environment all their lives. I chose a mushroom risotto (well cooked but a little savory) and the typical Borgomanero dish, tapulone (minced meat cooked with wine), which I appreciated, finishing with a good coffee. As for the expense, I certainly can't complain, but I repeat... judgments must always be made considering the environment, context and expense. You may like this place or not: personally I am grateful that places like this still exist.

17/03/2025: Chi entra alla “trattoria del ciclista”, o è per puro caso (ma non è così facile da trovare) o perché vuol provare un’esperienza vecchio stile, un’immergersi in un’atmosfera surreale e fuori dal tempo. Io, dopo diversi anni, ci sono tornato per curiosità, abbasta preparato a quel che avrei potuto trovare e avrei volentieri pagato anche solo per quello. Nei giorni feriali, per pranzo, c’è un menù fisso, con un po’ di scelta tra quello che hanno preparato, a 13€ e, se possibile, accettano qualche richiesta.. bisogna contestualizzare per quello che si paga. Ho captato qualche frase degli anziani proprietari e li ho trovati divertenti, probabilmente sono parte dell’ambiente da una vita. Io ho scelto un risottino ai funghi (ben cotto ma un po’ sapido) e il piatto tipico di Borgomanero, il tapulone (carne trita cotta col vino), che ho apprezzato, finendo con un buon caffè. Per la spesa non posso certo lamentarmi, ma ripeto.. bisogna sempre esprimere i giudizi considerando, ambiente, contesto, spesa. Questo luogo può piacere o no: personalmente sono grato che posti del genere ancora esistano.

23/03/2025: We stayed here on their opening night of the 2025 season, and we were lucky they were open so early. The family who run the campsite were super friendly and welcoming. While we had bad weather (not surprising for mid-March) this is a campsite that would have everything you need for a family trip in warmer months.

20/11/2024: What a disappointment at the "starred" restaurant???. We stayed with a group of German friends last weekend. Friendly staff but unhelpful owner. I ordered an appetizer with vegetables, bagna cauda, ​​tartare and pickled tongue. When taking the order, the owner told me that it took a long time to prepare this dish 😳. Hard to believe it: a small half raw pepper and two small vegetables, good but very salty tartare. The thing that displeased our friends and us the most was the wait: an hour between the first course and the second course. And the restaurant was not crowded. We entered the restaurant at 1.15pm and left not happy at 4pm. There is much better in the surrounding area in every sense. Never again,

18/11/2024: We were eating with seven people, it felt like it took 2 hours until the food was on the table, the dishes were mixed up for two people and orders were forgotten. Unacceptable for a star restaurant in this price range.

24/02/2025: Locale rustico ma accogliente, agriturismo che utilizza davvero prodotti del territorio, menù fisso buono e abbondante,con possibilità di chiedere numerosi “bis”, prezzo ottimo in virtù del fatto che oltre ad un menu abbondante ( 4 antipasti , 2 primi ,secondo,dolce) sono compresi anche il vino e l acqua, ovviamente non aspettatevi raffinatezze culinarie o location eleganti, il locale è spartano e il cibo verace,ma il rapporto qualità prezzo è davvero ottimo, è sempre un piacere tornarci

24/02/2025: Agriturismo molto capiente con parcheggio privato. Personale gentilissimo e molto disponibile. Le portate sono giuste come quantità ma chiedendo si può avere il bis e il tris. Abbiamo scelto il menù classico: antipasto con: gnocco fritto (duro), prosciutto crudo (buono), robiola e tartare (buonissime) e vitello tonnato (buono). Per quanto riguarda i primi: risotto con funghi un pò insapore, tagliolini al ragù poco incisivi. I secondi: sotto filetto di manzo alla piastra con patate (carne un pò troppo dura, patate troppo cotte) e stracotto al nebbiolo con polenta (stracotto discreto, polenta insipida). Buona la crostata di albicocche. Gli amici che erano con noi hanno preso anche il fritto novarese: niente di eccezionale. Nel complesso ci siamo trovati bene. Rapporto qualità prezzo giusto.

29/09/2024: Allora... bellissimo il posto e personale gentilissimo. Le rane fritte passano l'esame, e alla grande, perfette, ed anche la paniscia. Non prendete l'antipasto però per carità... un vassoietto di salumi punto e stop all'assurda cifra 9.50...

14/03/2025: Definitely not recommended in the evening. Price not consistent with the basic rules of catering. Anyone who says they ate well has no idea what "eating well" means. From the mozzarella cut into four on the cheese plate (let's leave out the type of mozzarella) to wine apparently in a bottle without a label, to tagliatelle with sautéed canned mushrooms.... 12/04/2025: Brioche cruda gommosa venduta a 4,00 euro La responsabile dice che l'impasto è così , non penso che lo chef Cannavacciuolo all'assaggio avrebbe dato il consenso positivo Le altre volte la qualità del prodotto era migliore ..

29/03/2025: Allora... Il caffè è buonissimo! Al top! I prezzi, insomma... Un po' alti, per le mie abitudini. Il fatto è che quando il prezzo è alto, uno si aspetta tutto al massimo, proprio per giustificare quel prezzo, ma lì non è proprio così. Sul servizio si deve lavorare ancora!

30/03/2025: La qualità e le porzioni delle pietanze sono buone, la location passabile, il giovane personale molto gentile ma il servizio.... inaccettabile. In tavolo da sette, piatti serviti scaglionati e uno in ritardo. Risotto arrivato tiepido. E prezzo complessivo ingiustificatamente alto.

30/03/2025: Esperienza pessima e negativamente indimenticabile. Disorganizzazione a 360 gradi, sia per la prenotazione che per le ordinazioni e i piatti. Personale scortese e maleducato dai camerieri alla cassiera. Prezzi medio-alti per piatti scadenti. Per di piú trovato nel mio piatto 1 pelo e in altri piatti trovato pezzi di cibo di altri piatti, come un’oliva in una pizza margherita e una patatina fritta in mezzo agli gnocchi fritti, rischioso nel caso qualcuno avesse allergie. Sconsigliato vivamente sia da me che dai miei 21 amici che erano con me.
