16/06/2025: I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Milan Nord Zara by IHG and, unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The location is extremely inconvenient, it’s far from everything, and unless you’re renting a car, you’ll end up spending 50 to 100 euros just on taxis to get to downtown Milan. Staying here doesn’t save you money; it costs you more in the long run. At check-in, they told me one thing, and then did something completely different at checkout. I felt misled, and the lack of transparency was frustrating. The hotel is simply not worth the price. Breakfast is 16 euros, which is outrageous considering the poor quality of the food. They serve canned mushrooms and hot dog-style sausages, definitely not what you’d expect from a hotel in this price range. You can get far better food outside for just 10 euros. Even drinks are overpriced. A beer that costs 3 euros locally is sold here for 6 to 10 euros. It feels like they’re charging high prices just because they can, not because the quality justifies it. To make matters worse, the staff was not friendly or helpful. There was a noticeable lack of warmth or hospitality throughout the stay. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Milan. There are better options, closer to the city, with better service and far more value for your money.

15/04/2025: Outdoor trip and Sunday lunch with two children; As soon as we arrived they immediately asked for the children, and within a few minutes the fusilli with ragù made by them arrived, really good. We tasted goose breast off the menu and a platter of cured meats and cheeses with fried polenta, tasty but different from the standard flavours, then came His Majesty's boiled meats with a trio of sauces made by them, a delicacy, a small note being the desserts where in our opinion there is little choice. In the menu you can see all the owners' Piedmontese roots. Staff available and ready to accommodate all customer needs. Advised.

23/03/2025: Good quality unfortunately high prices and minimal portions, the Milanese cutlet for 2 or 3 pp at more than €40 is fine for 1.5 pp

13/07/2025: Overall, a great place. The food and coffee are excellent, and the atmosphere is very welcoming and suitable for remote working. However, the service didn't live up to my expectations. We noticed that the place had two waiters, one of whom, the young man, was very kind and friendly. Unfortunately, the other waitress wasn't as professional. The waitress told us at 5:30 PM that the place would be closing in 5 minutes (we checked online, and the closing time was supposedly 6 PM). While we were sitting at our table, the waitress started complaining to her colleague that she had to close up and go home, and that it wasn't fair that we customers were staying until the late closing time (I repeat, it was half an hour before closing time). This behavior struck me as unprofessional and created a negative atmosphere. Furthermore, when we decided to leave the table and go to pay, I was told that the register was already closed and that I had to pay by card. I didn't find it a problem, but simply further evidence of the waitress's rudeness. I don't think it's fair to treat customers this way. I would have understood if we'd stayed until 5:50 PM, but again, it wasn't closing time yet.

15/04/2025: We had dinner with 5 people on Friday April 11th, 2025. Purely from a culinary point of view, the location is definitely recommended again. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the service. Our waiter seemed very private and disinterested, but not when dealing with other guests. It may be that we had a bad day, but it left a bad impression that unfortunately doesn't do justice to the taste. It could also have been due to the language barrier (although 2 of us spoke Italian). As I said, there is nothing wrong with the ambience or the taste. We all had pizzas and they were all spot on.

06/09/2025: A true culinary journey... towards disillusionment. For the modest sum of €30, I had the honor of tasting... sorry, counting five dwarf shrimp that looked like they had escaped from a supermarket cocktail. They were placed on a bed of tired radicchio, clearly nearing the end of its life, offering a taste experience oscillating between bitter and moldy. A delight. Luckily, the restaurant had thought of everything: bread charged at €3.50 per person (progress never stops). Spongy, bland, but very practical for mopping up the puddle of fragrant "pesto" oil that was swimming on my friend's plate. His pasta? Overcooked to perfection, al dente, better watch out. The highlight? A €30 gin and tonic. At that price, I thought I'd at least leave with the glass. But no, not even that. Bottom line: If you're looking for a place to empty your wallet faster than a Las Vegas casino while wondering if your stomach will ever forgive you, you've come to the right place.

05/09/2025: I always said it was impossible to eat badly in Italy... well, I was wrong! A pasta dish (tagliatelle with pesto) was absolutely inedible; my friend had undercooked shrimp on a bed of half-rotten salad. The service was catastrophic. My friend, who wanted a gin and tonic, was stunned to have to pay €30 for such a cocktail... We paid €105 for the pasta dish, the (5) shrimp, and two cocktails. Absolutely avoid!

04/09/2025: Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant wasn't the best. Four of us dined, and despite the rather high prices, the quality didn't meet expectations. The pasta dishes, at €25 each, were overpriced for the quality. The octopus salad was poor quality, tough and undercooked. Finally, the small Sicilian cannoli, at €4 each, were way overpriced for their size.
