22/11/2025: I returned to this restaurant after a while and I can confirm my previous reviews: the owners make you feel at home and the food is very good. Unfortunately, I can't bring myself to try anything other than their risotto, because I love it!

15/11/2025: Hopeless pasta, lost the original Italian taste. Lasagna was just ok but tortelina panna was hopeless.
I think the family running the business has sold it . Hope they take this commemt to improve and maintain.
26/10/2025: We had a delicious lunch here! The panini and Caffè Freddo were absolutely fantastic. The staff was very friendly and the service was really fast.
We sat inside, which is more suited to a quick visit, but the food and service were impressive!

21/09/2025: It's a typical Italian café with 1980s decor, but it was renovated in the summer of 2025, giving it a fresh look. The staff is friendly and helpful. I usually go for breakfast, and I can't fault it. I should point out that the croissants are always fresh, flaky, and richly filled (which is no small feat in Milan; you can always find someone who gives you leftovers from the day before...). Recommended!

07/09/2025: I dropped in here once or twice when staying in milan nearby. The place had a nice basic atmosphere. They serve lunch and dinner and seem to stay open later than most if you're looking for another beer after dinner. The outdoor dining area is well separated from the street and gives for a good vibe at night.

09/11/2025: Had a great evening at La Balera del’Ortica during my businss travel! Atmosfere here is really lively, we danced all night and the music was amazing. Food is simple but tasty, especially the pasta and desserts, staff was friendly and helpful even with our big group. Loved how the place feels like old Milan, very authentic and fun for all ages. Price is ok for what you get, perfect if you want good vibes and new experience.
09/11/2025: €40 for half a plate of gnocchi and some arrosticini, which aren't even that good, is a real rip-off.

12/10/2025: A small but excellent restaurant. The spices they use, in particular, make the food very special. I'm not giving it five stars because of the portion size. From a €10 main course, I expect a bit more in terms of quantity. Again, I have nothing to say about the quality of the food, only praise.
05/10/2025: Very bad. We waited for an hour but no food was served. The food of foreigners who came half an hour later than us was served, but we were not served. We were so hungry that we could not eat until 9 o'clock.

19/11/2025: It's a pretty good and cheap bakery and pastry shop, I often go there in the evening, but one really disappointing thing: I stopped by once in the morning to get a brioche, they asked me €2.40 for an EMPTY BRICHE.

The dishes are well executed and genuinely appetizing, served in a pleasant and inviting setting.
Perhaps the only drawback is the seating near the cashier, which can be less comfortable due to guests frequently standing nearby while waiting to settle their bill.

26/10/2025: The pizza was good, but I don't know how I managed to spend 19 euros on a Capricciosa without cooked ham and a Margherita with goat cheese (to go). I won't be back.
