22/06/2025: This evening I asked for a takeaway pizza and leaving aside the long faces, it almost seemed like they were annoyed by having customers, the atmosphere was heavy, colleagues were shouting loudly in the room, I paid 10 euros for a sausage and chips, raw chips, sour tomato and heavy dough and also without a receipt.... I strongly advise against it

13/07/2025: It had been a while since I had been there, I must say that I found a quiet atmosphere with helpful and kind staff. Even as for food, I found a lot of variety with an affordable price for everyone.

01/07/2025: Food not of quality, they never refilled anything during the whole dinner. There were short hairs in the skewers, there are no details of what you eat, you don't know if it's pork, chicken... The dessert side is pitiful, the hard crumbled ice cream "dirty"

12/05/2025: Valid ice cream shop, good ice cream, complete with 'unconventional' flavors and lactose-free flavours. Smiling and kind staff despite the slightly late hour. We didn't taste the cakes and the single portions, but it must be said that they looked beautiful, very inviting. The environment is clean and tidy, it is not large, but if the weather permits you can stop on the outdoor benches.

20/07/2025: At 11:30 PM, the waiter comes to our table and asks us what we want. I ask for a 5-minute wait because we're expecting 3 more people. -The waiter's reply: "We're closing at midnight!" It was extremely annoying, almost as if to say, "Go somewhere else." I'm glad for you, my response was that. That said, I keep asking myself, but instead of having bored and probably tired staff, given that you always boast about courtesy on social media, I'd be a little more careful. Naturally, we left.

19/07/2025: Unfortunately, I wasn't entirely satisfied with the pizza I received. Upon opening the box, it didn't look very inviting: the dough was dry and stiff, with a rather hard crust and no air bubbles at all, a sign of a proving process that was probably too rapid or not properly managed. The base of the pizza also seemed rather dry and "biscuit-like," typical of an electric oven, but without the benefit of a pleasant aroma.

14/07/2025: I ordered a piadina with bresaola, arugula, and parmesan, but unfortunately it was a disappointment: the dough was hard, dry, and stringy, almost like a cracker, the bresaola slices were too thick, and the parmesan was practically nonexistent. The value for money is not at all satisfactory. The only positive note was the kindness of the girl who served me. I'll try the pizza, because the one on the counter looked really inviting.

01/06/2025: Il pranzo da Viola sta diventando un appuntamento fisso quando si scende a Castel Goffredo per Libri sotto i portici. In una giornata calda ed assolata come oggi é stato un piacere sedersi per il pranzo da loro, dopo la mattina passata a cercare libri tra le bancarelle. Che dire? Servizio discreto, nel senso di non troppo invasivo, quindi per me ottimo. Ho scelto la pizza della settimana con funghi e mazzancolle, molto appetitosa: anche i tagliolini non dovevano essere male... Non contento (d'altronde se non si esagera la domenica...) mi sono concesso un vitello tonnato, fresco e molto gradito. Chiusura con sorbetto e caffè. Magari la prossima volta proverò il fritto. A presto!

27/07/2025: I'm sorry, but even without wanting to cast blame and without complaining directly (given the presence of a significant number of customers) the experience was far below expectations and not in line with what we paid... given that when we asked for single portions displayed in the display case at the entrance (which I had specified that they were chocolate flavored), the employee taking the order told us that the only single portions on display were "millefoglie" which we accepted (one garnished with cream and strawberries, the other normal but both arrived garnished) but which did not live up to expectations and were absolutely overpriced!... A good ice cream cone with three or four flavors would definitely have been tastier and cheaper!

26/07/2025: The top when it comes to ice cream and pastry shops. Excellent sandwiches, wraps and appetizers. This is the best place to have breakfast. Run by nice and capable people. The place is very beautiful both inside and outside. Infinite menu!

19/06/2025: After Covid, the two owners decided to stop mass catering and do it exclusively for the guests of the facility. Unique experience, perhaps I repeat what others have already said, it's like going home to grandma. Upon arrival, one of the two owners, already of age, shows up and welcomes you with kindness just as if she were your grandmother; very large rooms, they gave me the studio apartment on the ground floor consisting of an entrance with kitchenette, living room with dining table, bedroom with walk-in closet and bathroom with a shower x3. Dinner is a return to the past and to traditions, the other owner, the same age as her friend even though she was not in shape due to an illness, prepared dishes with a past flavor and always came to the table to know if everything was okay and was enough, the choice of wine was also excellent. You have to go there to breathe the love in doing things, to breathe the past of things built well and to relax at the end of the day taking advantage of the outdoor area under centuries-old trees. I will definitely return to relive this unique experience. Thank you so much
