Refuge Santa Rita In Introbio

A must when climbing to Pizzo dei tre lords from the side of the Grassi refuge. When we arrived at the refuge at 2pm we asked if we could have lunch and the girl who runs the refuge kindly said that she would satisfy our needs. Excellently cooked pasta with meat sauce, then polenta with mixed cheeses both local and Piedmontese since she is originally from those places, draft beer, bread made by her and coffee. Fair price since the food is carried almost 2000 meters on your shoulders, which is no walk in the park. The refuge is welcoming and quiet with a view that extends from the southern side of Val Biandino to the northern side of Val Varrone and Melasc.

I haven't been to S Rita for a long time...at least 15 years and I was pleasantly surprised...impeccable female management...a very well kept refuge, welcoming smiles and excellent food cooked with spices, love and piano notes. ...in short, an experience that I highly recommend and a refuge that should not be missed on excursions in Lombardy Congratulations and see you soon!
