16/03/2025: We went to eat and it was a total success. We tried to go a few years ago but we arrived at 2pm or something and they no longer served us. This time we booked and went at 1:15 p.m. With close and very good service, we have had spectacular food and quite large portions. It is a restaurant mainly serving local food, although they also have the typical carbonara-type dishes.

16/03/2025: We had lunch a few days ago in this pizzeria, a few meters from the Moto Guzzi Museum. What can I say... Great discovery!!! Monica fantastic hostess. Very good pizza and truly sublime tiramisu! It will definitely be a regular stop when I'm in the area 🥰❤️ (Blessed)

09/03/2025: Un posto che non meriterebbe nemmeno un accenno e che in un paese civile non dovrebbe proprio esistere. Di ritorno da una splendida gita alla chiesa di Santa Maria raggiungiamo l'auto parcheggiata nei pressi della locanda e dopo avere riposto li zaini decidiamo, io, reduce da una notte di lavoro, la mia compagna ed una coppia di amici, di berci un meritato caffè. Io entro nel locale e faccio l'ordine quindi aspettiamo, aspettiamo, aspettiamo ma dopo una ventina di minuti capiamo che non siamo desiderati. Entriamo a chiedere spiegazioni ma il tipo li presente ci dice che se vogliamo ci ridà i soldi che gli ho dato anticipatamente. Accettiamo, li dico che non vorremmo fare colonna e che sicuramente ci saremmo tornati con maggiore disponibilità di tempo. All'uscita quel soggetto dice ai commensali presenti che se non dovessimo tornare è pure meglio. Li rispondo che poteva dircelo prima che non ci riteneva idonei al consumo presso la sua struttura e me ne vado, li altri mi seguono. Non è che forse quel conoscente che non vedevo da anni e che si è aggregato ha qualcosa in sospeso con tale individuo? Comunque sia, prendo atto di una professionalità di altissimo livello che forse conviene la spenda altrove. Ne facciamo volentieri a meno di strutture e personaggi di così alto rango. Stia tranquillo, al prossimo passaggio staremo ben attenti di non entrare lì nemmeno per sbaglio. Auguri di un'attività fiorente!

20/03/2025: A truly fantastic place, immersed in nature and with a breathtaking view. The agriturismo da Simone offers a mouth-watering typical menu. The quality of the cuisine is truly excellent, the place is warm and welcoming and, as already mentioned, the view is priceless. Very good value for money. Highly recommended for those who want to live a unique experience.

16/03/2025: Objectively the best ice cream in the area! I've been going there for more than a year and I can confirm that the quality always remains top! Even though it is now HYPERCROWDED and the staff is FEW to manage the matter... the place is then invaded by hordes of children in the large play area they have set up, much of the peace that was there before the enlargement is lost. Farm - Playground - Mini club - Summer center... practically. Queues everywhere, perhaps they haven't been able to organize their popularity yet. 03/03/2025: I also leave a review to counterbalance an average that suffers from the previous management, which apparently was not optimal. We went for lunch, we were served in a friendly manner, excellent portions of very tasty dishes at the right price. The selection of wines also seems to have been well looked after, we tried two different ones from the same cellar, which were very good.

We were welcomed with great warmth by the owner, who made the experience even more special with her hospitality and her stories. The menu offers traditional dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients and great attention to flavours. Each course was delicious, with generous portions and thoughtful presentation. The service was impeccable. The atmosphere is intimate and welcoming, perfect for enjoying a meal in peace. A truly pleasant experience, which we recommend to anyone who wants to discover the best of local cuisine in Varenna.

27/02/2025: For the second time I was able to dine at Pierino's. The first, perhaps because the first or perhaps because I was younger had gratified me more. However, it remains an excellent experience, for the careful welcome, the service that is always present but never intrusive, for the excellent culinary proposals with the very classic and much envied cheese trolley, a wine list that is not for everyone and not for everyone and the truly interesting end-of-meals. The idea of ​​the momi trolley is fun.

22/11/2024: Wonderful experience. Excellent food, in a breathtaking lakefront location. Prices are absolutely normal and suitable for the quality of the food, a few dishes cooked with skill and attention by a staff who pampers the customer from the beginning to the end of the experience.

24/03/2025: Perfect place to feel a bit of Italian style. Very good food in a really charming place. I think it is run by the owners because everything was taken care of in the smallest detail.
