29/04/2025: A wonderful wedding! Great food and wonderful staff! Everything decided at the last minute due to rain but still organized to perfection Change of plans again because the sun came out in the middle of the day! Everything was handled very well even if we had to do exactly the opposite! The food was delicious, compliments to the entire kitchen, balanced flavors and perfect cooking. The dining room staff was super friendly and accommodating! Thank you thank you thank you ❤️

26/04/2025: Nicolò and I entrusted ourselves to Matteo and Barbara from Fondaco who made our day unique in this fairytale location. They organized the ceremony, the aperitif and the cake cutting outdoors, managing everything magnificently thanks to their professionalism, but even when a nice storm surprised us, they handled this unexpected event impeccably, bringing everything inside without interrupting our party.... Meanwhile we danced in the rain! The location is fabulous, the food was excellent which our guests appreciated very much and Matteo, Barbara and their team are splendid, both personally and professionally. We almost get married again so we can relive this dream day Thank you so much for making our day UNFORGETTABLE ❤️❤️❤️

18/06/2025: Food --> fresh and high quality ingredients. Service --> fantastic, with friendly and kind staff, ready to respond to the customer's needs. Sometimes, with a heavy workload, the waiting times could increase, but nothing too exaggerated. Ambience --> welcoming and quiet, a bit like being at home.

02/06/2025: Restaurant discovered by chance but ... a lucky chance! We ate an excellent lunch with high quality products, perfectly cooked and served by very kind staff. Too bad not to have it close to home. Highly recommended!!

03/06/2025: I went for lunch this morning, the three of us had an appetizer of cold cuts, meatballs with green sauce and classic pickles, all edible but nothing special, on the contrary... I had malfatti with melted butter, malfatti in name and in fact, my son had gnocchi, also inedible and finally my husband ordered guinea fowl, good, with a side of sautéed vegetables, I would say boiled, the bread inedible and the wine of poor quality. In short, a negative experience, we had a terrible lunch!!!!!

25/05/2025: You enter the tavern, but you immediately understand that it is not a simple place to eat. Is it because of the family atmosphere? A welcome well above average from the young woman of the house. An entree with 4 slices of salami, a good first course with an excellent cream of parmesan and saffron. Second course, a rib eye for me and polenta with stew for Luci. The price is in line with the quality of the food. Generous portions and in the end we can't get dessert. We are really full. Surprise, they offer it to us, from the "wrap it up and take it away" series. We will eat it when we are hungry again. What a choice we made with this place. Excellent.

05/01/2025: Passing through before arriving in Milan We tried this place by chance, looking online. A pleasant surprise! Rustic but pleasant place Tasted an excellent appetizer of delicious cold cuts and excellent cheeses The ravioli with mushrooms and seasoned with melted taleggio cheese and saffron are notable The ragù with tagliatelle is historic (it's no mistake the delicious ragù was very abundant!) We were not able to taste the other very interesting proposals other than the really good desserts We'll be back!

02/06/2025: We went to lunch today with some friends and we had a great time! Fantastic and welcoming staff, rich and very good dishes! The boiled meat trolley was a dream without forgetting the grapefruit sorbet! The welcome with the appetizer is appreciated! To return

01/06/2025: Good, but I expected more from the reviews I read. The boiled meat was top (but no one told us we could have seconds), I didn't like the pasta with different sauces. Apart from arriving "glued", it doesn't hold up well to seasoning it afterwards, arriving already like this and almost cold. The price was less cheap than what they told us. The choice of desserts was almost zero.

The dishes are rich in flavor and clearly made with fresh, quality ingredients—each bite feels comforting and satisfying. The staff are friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. Whether you’re there for a casual meal or a special occasion, this place really hits the mark. Highly recommend trying their pasta dishes and homemade desserts! A true gem in Soresina that I’ll definitely be coming back to.

08/06/2025: We visited at lunch hour, where they offered a set price menu (€15) the most expensive one which includes primo, secondo, pane, coperto, acqua and cafe offered by the establishment. The selections are delicious and a great value for a quick lunch. Very good value for money! Obviously, they have à la carte as well.

02/06/2025: Cremona is the city of the violin, but also of risotto: I have never eaten a risotto like this: extraordinary!!!

04/06/2025: In viaggio da Cremona a Brescia, DeGustibus si perde nella campagna cremonese e alfine, quasi per caso, si imbatte nell’Hostaria. Sempre per caso entra, saluta, si accomoda ed esce certo che mangiar bene si può ! Quel che ho preso non importa, potete prendere quel che volete dall’ampio menù alla carta ( un neo il menù di affari), e uscirete più che soddisfatti. Non è dietro casa ma si fanno viaggi per cause molto peggiori. Quindi tutti all’Hostaria San Carlo ad assaggiare una delle migliori cucine italiane. Naturalmente ad una cifra modica…

04/06/2025: We were at the Locanda for the first time and we had the 5-course tasting menu chosen by the chef, everything was delicious, from the homemade bread to the amazing dessert, excellent quality raw materials! Super perfect wine pairing! We will definitely be back, highly recommended!

04/05/2025: Restaurant furnished in a very characteristic way, with a shade in accordance with the name of the restaurant. The interior is very welcoming, but tables are also available outside. The risottos are cooked excellently; not al dente, perfectly cooked. The combinations of ingredients in some risottos are very "liberty" and require a bit of open-mindedness. The menu also offers homemade pasta, second courses, side dishes and dessert. Bottled wine, half bottle and by the glass. Average prices.

09/05/2025: Locale tipico scelto basandoci sulle recensioni di Tripadvisor in previsione di una visita a Cremona. E' situato in pieno centro in un ambiente accogliente e personale molto gentile. Abbiamo provato i tortelli al torrone (esperienza unica) e un ottimo guancialino di maiale. Con dolce, vino e caffè spesa intorno ai 70 euro a coppia. Sicuramente da provare.
