Pizzeria La Pendola In Cremona

Great place. The pizzas are super good and generous. Also, I shouldn't say this here, but since I didn't dare say it there and I'd like the owner to know: the owner, or at least the one I identified as the owner, is very classy and very beautiful.

La Pendola is a place you either love or hate, and I—humblely—love it. I spotted it immediately on Google; it was attraction at first sight. It's located in a secluded alley, just steps from the center, and the white, red, and black sign and the frosted-glass door promise you've entered another dimension. The place is small, with just a few tables, and reservations aren't possible—you have to wait your turn for the experience. The decor is dated, a bit '70s/'80s, with the pizza chefs in full view. They serve a few draft and bottled beers, but the star of the show is the PIZZA. I'm a fan of it, in all its forms. This is a flat, super-crispy pizza that overflows from the plate. The ingredients are incredibly fresh. I ordered a Diamante, a combination of prosciutto and burrata. I thought I'd never finish it, but it was incredibly easy to digest. Kudos to the staff and the lovely young woman serving tables. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Cremona. Value for money, you say? No need for me to answer that.

I heard it has changed ownership, but being in Cremona and staying around the corner, l had to see if it stands up to its previous reputation. We actually came here twice in two weeks, and my daughter picked up takeaway as well. We certainly did not have to wait long for our order, and the service was good. The pizzas are still huge and full of flavour, and the wine is extremely good. The restaurant is small, with plenty of elbow room, but you would not leave it too late to enter. I"m not sure if you can book, but since being Australians, we were there early. Great choice if in Cremona and want an authentic Italian pizza. Love it ❤️

Excellent experience at this pizzeria, off the beaten track and seemingly frequented mainly by locals and regulars. Very warm welcome and authentic atmosphere, delicious pizzas, excellent value for money. We highly recommend it!

I've been going there for years now, especially when I return for the holidays. The pizza is always top-notch, and the staff is kind and attentive. It's a small shame that you can't reserve, but you can still find a table after waiting a few minutes. Excellent prices, and the food is always delicious.
