15/12/2025: Unforgettable Dinner and Evening Friday evening, a strike day, with chaos on the highways and roads, what better way to spend dinner than from Rho to San Fermo della Battaglia in Cavallasca with dear friends R. & G. First of all, Agriturismo Agrifoglio is located on the Cavallasca hill (about 600 meters above sea level) in a stunning location, immersed in the natural beauty of the Spina Verde Regional Park. From here, you can enjoy an incredible view all the way to Milan, both day and night. For those not familiar with the area, it's not easy to find the road immediately (there are few signs in Cavallasca), which winds up a narrow road that runs alongside the last houses and then turns into a winding and challenging dirt road. Once you reach the location, which resembles a mountain bay, you'll find a large parking lot; On spring and summer days, in daylight, you can appreciate the climb by walking along the adjacent paths. Let's move on to Agrifoglio and its cuisine. You can enjoy several fixed-price menus with options ranging from appetizers, first courses, and second courses, or with two first and/or second courses, and others that also include desserts, at more than reasonable prices. We chose à la carte, which actually consists of the same dishes as the fixed-price menus, as we were worried (rightly so) that we wouldn't be able to eat everything. The dishes are indeed generous, and since we chose one appetizer and one second course each, we really struggled to order dessert. We started with a selection of house mixed appetizers for four, consisting (at least on the evening we dined) of various artisanal cured meats (including cooked salami), cheeses with onion cream, grilled and fried vegetables, small bruschettas, and ladyfingers salad. The bread was also excellent, unfortunately, because we ate a whole bag of it while waiting for the appetizer, which probably filled us up more than we should have. For main courses, we opted for a Fillet with Green Peppercorns, a Grilled Fillet, Venison Stew (all 3 off-menu), and Braised Donkey, dishes accompanied by the typical Polenta Concia, all washed down with a 1-liter jug ​​of house Barbera. Sublime, sublime, high-quality flavors, thanks to the attention to detail of the chefs in the kitchen, who hark back to the region's rural roots. In the end, we limited ourselves to lemon and persimmon sorbets and two small samples of tiramisu panna cotta. Kudos to the attentive, attentive, and helpful wait staff, whose kindness and cordiality were greatly appreciated, as well as the ever-present presence of the owner, who occasionally comes by to gently check in on everything. The venue boasts spacious rooms with a rustic yet elegant charm, capable of hosting no fewer than 150 people (or perhaps more), making it the ideal setting for any special occasion, including weddings, birthdays, and other group events. Without exaggeration, I can say that Agriturismo Agrifoglio is a fantastic location where authenticity and hospitality meet. It made our dinner unforgettable, perhaps for lunch again during the warmer months to further appreciate the outdoor setting and the views of Brianza and Milan.

08/10/2025: A wonderful place with wonderful, helpful, and hospitable staff. The hotel is ideally located, close to the sea and about 15-30 minutes from other beautiful towns. The views from the hotel and rooms are magnificent and picturesque. We were there off-season, so we only managed to use the hotel restaurant once, but we were also able to sample the delicious Italian cuisine. The rooms were clean and well-appointed.

03/08/2025: We stayed at this property at the end of June. The location is enchanting, nestled in the Marche hills with a wonderful view. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. Matteo and Martina are not only delightful, but also always available. The restaurant is excellent. Paola and Flavio

26/09/2025: First, the restaurant, then the hotel: I ate there five evenings and was able to sample several items from the menu. The dishes are all freshly prepared with carefully sourced (mostly organic) ingredients from local producers. I found all the dishes – from starters and pastas to main courses and desserts – to be consistently excellent and authentically regional. The prices were completely fair in my opinion. I especially enjoyed the atmosphere. The team is constantly moving between the kitchen and guests, exuding charm and a feel-good atmosphere! The atmosphere in the restaurant (always full of locals) is lively and pleasant! I loved it! The hotel: First of all, if you're looking for the standards of hotel chains, this isn't the place for you. However, if you're looking for a simple, super-clean, and quiet room, you'll feel very comfortable. The prices are super fair, as is the breakfast, which is again prepared in the restaurant according to guests' wishes. Homemade jam is just as much a part of the menu as a slice of homemade cake. Here, too, a truly feel-good atmosphere awaits! It's no surprise that many guests return again and again. Anyone who appreciates the simplicity, honesty, and friendliness of this small, traditional family business will love it.

09/12/2025: One of our favorite places to stay in the Valley, a cabin with a wooden ceiling and traditional furnishings. Upstairs, there's a large, beautiful fireplace. The food is delicious, and after a long hike, especially in the cold, it's truly comforting and invigorating. This time, we had a cured meats appetizer (served with the characteristic giardiniera), a Taleggio cheese and berry risotto, and a braised beef with polenta.

09/12/2025: After a walk, it's the ideal place to refresh yourself and warm up. The food is good and the welcome is warm. The staff is kind and helpful. The braised meat is truly tender, accompanied by polenta with a delicious sauce.

02/11/2025: Seafood dinner, perfect! Tasty appetizers of various kinds, from the tender seafood salad to the shrimp cocktail, mussels, skewers, and then fried fish, sea bass, and scallops. Generous and expertly cooked. The owners and staff are always smiling and kind. 🫶Absolutely recommended!

23/10/2025: We had gone to the hospital for a checkup, and it's sad to say, but after dinner at this restaurant, our spirits were already restored. The attention to detail is evident inside: the black paint and the paintings create a classy atmosphere. Sure, it could use a little more attention to detail, but we're already off to a good start. And the impressions improve with the dishes: charming, captivating, and even with some unusual offerings. The perch platter as an appetizer was incredibly generous, but a standing ovation for the pizza alla porta, which was incredibly rich yet perfectly balanced. And nothing else: the braised beef seemed cooked by angels, accompanied by polenta, a cloud of cheese, wheat, and indulgence. Reasonable price, as a final note.

13/11/2025: Today I had breakfast for the first time at the Tigros Villaguardia bar... pleasantly surprised both by the prices, quality and preparation of products and by the kindness of the girl (Marika)... I was there around 7:00...

11/10/2025: This hotel is not as advertised. There is no air conditioning in the offseason. If known prior to booking I would have made reservations at a different accommodation. However this was not communicated in person or online. Our room was at 26 degrees Celsius (79 Fahrenheit) in October which is not acceptable with no circulating air. I placed my complaint with that staff and they assure this would be corrected. However it was not. We were told to open the window (that does not fully open) and to use the fan and that most guests prefer 23 degrees Celsius which is not what it is set at. I will be requesting a full refund due to the fact that there is no air conditioning available during the off season despite advertised amenities. For an accommodation located at the “pearl of the lake” I expected more. Especially considering the price. Save you efforts and book elsewhere.

At a table of five, everyone ate at different times; when our plates were brought, some were missing cutlery. The noise during dinner was remarkable; you could only hear the person sitting opposite.

18/12/2025: I wanted to congratulate everyone! I was truly satisfied! They took very little time to give me a complete service! The tire change was done meticulously, down to the smallest detail. Regarding the cabin filter replacement, I can only compliment them on the cleanliness and respect they showed in the work they did!
