19/08/2025: Very disappointed with Sunday lunch. We spent too much, the food was poor, the baked potatoes were cooked two days before... let's forget about the rest. It's a shame because the place is really nice. I will never eat there again.

22/05/2025: Siamo stati già alcune volte e devo riconoscere che la qualità è la gentilezza sono una costante. Cibi a base di pesce (davvero buono il piatto di pesce crudo abbondante e delizioso servito con sali diversi da accompagnare alle varie specie di pesce) ricercati, porzioni giuste e prezzi accessibili ed in linea con la qualità. Ottima cantina dei vini che permette scelte a vari livelli. Da provare.

27/08/2025: We had two excellent meals at Peter and Danielle's. Peter is a fantastic host, and his wife Danielle conjures up the most delicious dishes! While dining, you're treated to a beautiful view of Lake Idro. They don't have pizza, but we didn't miss it for a moment! It's a missed opportunity if you don't eat at Holland's 😉

26/08/2025: We ate here twice, once with 8 people and once with 5. Both evenings we had delicious food and drinks, and the service was excellent. A dog came out onto the terrace with wine, and what I loved was that, without asking, they brought a bowl of water before I even sat down. Someone brought a bowl of water when I complimented them on it, and the owner said, "Dogs are guests too!" And then there's the view over Lake Idro, what a picture from this height!

18/07/2025: This property deserves 5 stars for its kindness, helpfulness, and friendliness. It offers a cafeteria for lunch and dinner for €8 (all very good!). I stayed here for 8 nights, from July 1st to 9th, eating in the cafeteria and having breakfast at the bar. Rudy, in particular, welcomed the group of teachers in training and visiting teachers in Bergamo with great warmth and professionalism. Some complained about the heat, but they're addressing that by installing air conditioning. My room was cleaned every morning, with clean, crisp towels. Kudos to the cleaning ladies! The location is excellent, behind the station and just a few meters from lower Bergamo. There are courtyards and gardens all around; I felt safe and at home. Thank you! Marina B.

15/09/2025: It is difficult to find a better quality-price ratio, impeccable service and a refined environment with several valuable paintings in the furnishings. 5 stars well deserved even before seeing the bill which was another pleasant surprise.

01/08/2025: I was lucky enough to discover this place recently thanks to a dear friend. Excellent management, excellent quality food, and besides meats, they offer typical Lazio dishes that bring back distant memories. Well done, well done, well done. 👏 🤷🏼‍♂️ What else can I say? Try it if you're in the area and enjoy.

21/08/2025: I went there for the first time with friends for lunch on August 15th. It was a very nice place. It was a shame that the food was completely tasteless, and the thing that left a bad taste in my mouth was the lack of attention to people like me who have problems with intolerances or other problems eating specific foods. This had been pointed out. I was asked if I wanted the dish that contained fondue without it. It was served to me drained and placed on a nice plate, without asking or considering if I wanted another type of condiment, even just oil! It wasn't my place to point this out!! I found this very rude!

28/07/2025: We stopped by chance one Sunday at Locanda Castaldo and were pleasantly surprised. The place is truly welcoming and well-kept, with a traditional atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The kitchen offers well-prepared and tasty traditional dishes, with generous portions and excellent value. The staff is friendly.
