15/08/2025: Campervan friends, stopping for lunch. Right in the heart of the Città Alta, Ol Baretì is a real gem! Warm welcome, fast service, and always with a smile 😄. Special thanks to the waitress for her thoughtful attention and excellent advice, which made our time even more enjoyable. We had an Aperol Spritz and a beer on the terrace, right in front of the fountain: a picturesque setting, perfect for enjoying the charm of Bergamo. The dishes are simple but excellent—special mention goes to the crispy pizzas, the generous pasta dishes, and the filet américain, which is worth the detour. A friendly place where you always want to return when passing through Bergamo. 🇮🇹🍷🍕🍹

07/09/2025: 28 Posti redeemed Milan’s food scene for us. Tucked into a not-so-trafficked alley near the popular Navigli district, the restaurant is chic as one would expect in looks-obsessed Milan but not overly so that it came across trying too hard. There was also an interesting voyeuristic dimension to the kitchen with its counter-level viewing window. The staff was relaxed, professional, and knowledgeable of the dishes. We opted for the three-tastings surprise menu; the kitchen would essentially determine what we would be eating. Both diners were expected to eat the same three dishes. Luckily for us, they kindly diverged on my dining companion’s main entrée. The experience began with a trio of delicious amuse bouches. For the antipasti, tenderly grilled aubergine laced with an herb and burnt aubergine oil, accompanied with an apricot umeboshi. The Primi consisted of a delicious pasta that we had never heard of or had before, Lumachini, immersed in a fish and roasted tomato broth. The Secondi were slightly uneven but not in an unpleasant way, my entrée (grilled white fish with a white asparagus sauce) while delicious and ample paled in amount compared to my fellow diner’s, which included three chunks of lamb, a potato and kimchi tzatziki, chickpea hummus, a piece of naan bread, a potato puree with lamb jus reduction, and even a Milanese meatball (a mondeghili). The icing on the cake was being offered a complimentary trio of pickled melons for dessert.

02/09/2025: Excellent cuisine in a warm and welcoming setting. The service provided excellent explanations of the various dishes.

05/08/2025: Excellent food, super attentive to food intolerances. There was even a lactose-free dessert! Not all the photos are of lactose-free dishes. I fell in love with the shrimp and avocado salad.

30/07/2025: I had lunch alone at this restaurant, and overall, the experience was good: the ambiance was elegant and the dishes were well-presented. However, there was one incident that left me a little disappointed. After my first course, I asked for olive oil, but the waiter (who I believe was also the owner) refused to bring it, saying that "the dish is fine as it is." I found this response rude and restrictive, given that everyone should be free to enjoy a dish as they prefer. For my second course, however, I made the same request to a waitress, who kindly brought me the oil without any problems. So: 2 stars for the owner's attitude, but 3 stars overall because the food is good and the staff (aside from that incident) was friendly. I could even recommend it, but with this small reservation.

16/07/2025: I visited Gianico for the first time, accompanied by locals from Darfo Boario Terme. It's a wonderfully charming little village with a truly friendly atmosphere, which is authentically reflected in the Osteria di Bacco. Outstanding dishes, many of which are made with local produce, prepared and presented with loving attention to detail. Homemade. It was absolutely delicious, and the hosts were very warm and accommodating! Plus, there's a cozy atmosphere in the vaulted cellar, reminiscent of a grotto. I don't need to say anything about the wine—top quality! The dessert, varied and freshly prepared by the 87-year-old mother—is excellent! The prices—absolutely attractive! Many thanks to the hosts—please keep up the good work!

09/05/2025: Pizzeria tigelleria in a slightly retro setting. Excellent selection of pizzas and tigelle, with an interesting quality-price ratio. Young, friendly and professional staff. I recommend it. The place is always busy even during the week.

09/07/2025: Returning from a tour of the Enchanted Forest of Dazio, and following the recommendation of a kind local lady, I found this comfortable and functional restaurant with a beautiful view of the valley, excellent food, and impeccable service.

20/08/2025: We came to this beautiful venue for a birthday event. It’s perched up high with amazing scenic views of the surrounding hills, set in lovey gardens. A special experience to dine and spend time here. Can’t comment on pricing, as we came to an event.

07/09/2025: Finally, yesterday I had lunch with my partner at Dispensa di Michele Bontempi. First of all, thank you for the welcome; a smile is not so common these days. The service was attentive, kind, but above all, well-prepared! The food was very good; you can sense the research into both the quality of the ingredients and the passion and care in preparing them. As for the wine, I'd need a weekly subscription from you to even begin to say I understand something about it. Jokes aside, I think everyone knows your story. We'll be back as soon as we can. 31/08/2025: Our reservation was made for 8pm, the last available time and therefore, I thought, the restaurant must be full after then. Driving to the restaurant from beyond Tuscany, two accidents delayed us. Calling the restaurant, they told us absolutely not to worry, an hour late or more - not a problem. Ah! Then it must indeed be open late and we are not bothering them... we arrived late and were already almost the last customers. Not a word was said beyond joy and sharing. Everything was done with utmost generosity despite the restaurant plainly staying open just for us. This spirit, this behaviour deserves more than a word of thanks. Besides that - entirely exceptional food, and perhaps the best wine line I've ever read in my life. A magical evening in every way.

06/09/2025: A very intimate and welcoming atmosphere, excellent staff, quality food and drinks, and an excellent wine selection. Plus, you can also enjoy an excellent aperitif. Highly recommended, one of the best restaurants in Pavia.

27/07/2025: Highly recommended for excellent food and wine. I don't go with my kids because it doesn't suit their tastes, but it's always nice to return for a romantic outing or with friends. The service is also excellent.
