28/11/2025: We're campers, and every time we come to San Bartolomeo, we come to Ancora.
I've tried both the pizza and the fish first and second courses, all excellent.
But their fried calamari and tiramisu are phenomenal, the best I've ever eaten in my life.
Having lunch and dinner with a sea view is truly exceptional.
The service is always fast and impeccable.
The girls serving tables are always polite, kind, and knowledgeable, which is not always a given.
We'll see you again soon!

09/01/2026: Typically, you shouldn't give too many stars to special places, lest you ruin their magic.
However, this place and its owners deserve an exception to the rule.
The atmosphere, the warmth, the food, and the drinks are all worthy of a 5-star rating.
We'll extend our stay in Diano Marina so we can return tomorrow.

12/12/2025: A great Italian wine bar with complementary hot and cold snacks. Delicious Italian wine, an unforgettable atmosphere, and a charming owner. Tagliere Emilino – a delicious platter of Italian cold cuts and cheeses. A unique Italian atmosphere. I definitely recommend it.

Siamo stati una sera nel mese di Luglio
dopo aver prenotato con sufficente anticipo.
Una cucina raffinata nella tradizione ligure , un antipasto di pesce ,polpo con una ottima guarnitura di fresche verdure di stagione
I primi molto ricchi di pesce , paccheri e spaghetti alle vongole molto ben mantecati. Vino della casa ...non male.
Unico neo , devo dire il troppo rumore in sala affollata di gente, purtroppo i posti all'aperto sono pochi e non per grandi gruppi.
Complimenti per il servizio accurato premuroso e molto professionale.
Prezzo non proprio economici. ma sostanzialmente in linea con quanto proposto.

The coffee and cappuccino are very good and the pastries are delicious. Nice terrace but too many smokers, which is a shame.
26/12/2025: Great gluten free cakes. Separate casing to avoid cross contamination. My favorite was the nut cake. Tiramisu in a cup available. Cakes have to be left out in room temperature for 1 hour to thaw before enjoying.

02/01/2026: We went for lunch and everything we ordered was excellent! From their pesto to their pasta, to their pork loin and rabbit. The desserts were also very good.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick but not rushed.

03/02/2026: This used to be a favourite lunch restaurant but has changed. Lovely location on the beach and great views out to sea. But twice in the last few months the food left me with a bad stomach and unable to eat anything else for 24 hours, first after eating gnocchi in a strange sauce and then after having calamari ripieni in a similar strange sauce. Also the menu is not honest; I ordered burata but it was ordinary mozzarella, almost tasteless. Two stars for the location and view, none for the food.

18/01/2026: Disastrous experience. Intrusive and annoying staff, ridiculous wait times even after repeated reminders. The dishes took forever to arrive, and the quality was terrible: subpar udon noodles, poorly cooked and tasteless. It was also unacceptable that some dishes were served spicy without being requested. Total lack of customer service. Dinner ruined. Absolutely avoid.
17/01/2026: From the outside, it looks like a dated restaurant, but believe me, it's worth going in and tasting all the delicacies they prepare every day. Each dish is better than the next, everything is fantastic. Unlike many other restaurants of this kind, everything is made by them, and the difference is evident in every dish.
A family-run business where the parents cook and the daughters welcome you with a big smile and lots of patience.
Congratulations, family.
Definitely our favorite place.
