25/05/2025: We had lunch yesterday, after an Alpine ceremony. Nice, bright and very clean place. We ate fish. Everything was very good, fast and friendly service. Honest bill. I will definitely go back on occasion.

26/04/2025: A place with good, excellent cuisine at a modest price. The owner, Mr Leandro, is a kind and very friendly person. At the end of lunch he sat at the table with me and three other ladies who were having lunch in his restaurant for the first time, entertaining us with many stories and offering us liqueurs until the evening. We will definitely be back. I went back yesterday with 20 friends and again everything was perfect with various excellent and plentiful courses. All the friends were enthusiastic. I returned today after about a year and the restaurant with its cuisine. it is always exceptional congratulations and thanks to the owner Mr. Leandro

06/05/2025: Excellent catering. For lunch, fixed price menu of the day with different choices of fish or meat dishes. Wide choice of wines. Destination for many workers or holidaymakers. But also of fishermen who take advantage of a break, after a fun morning in the nearby Danilo Ottonello Tourist Reserve, on the Stura. Kindness and courtesy of the staff, with particular attention despite the place being full, as always. Very honest price for the quality of the products.

03/05/2025: We were in this cosy restaurant in April 2025, it was a really amasing experience. All staff was very professional, all courses was super delicious. It was my birthday and their surprise with delicious cookies and candles was very satisfying. Probably the best thing in Genova was "The Cook"

28/04/2025: I gave my parents a dinner at "The Cook" restaurant, carefully choosing a specific tasting menu, mainly based on fish, present on the restaurant's website. The experience was a special gift and, considering the significant expense (around 400 euros for two people), I expected the agreed menu to be respected. With great regret I discovered that, at the time of dinner (last Friday), the menu had been completely changed, without any warning. Even today, on the restaurant's official website, the menu I had chosen months ago is online, which can easily mislead those who want to give a precise experience with attention to detail, as in my case. However, I would like to underline that my parents were very satisfied with the quality of the dinner they received, the refined environment and the attentive and professional service. However, I believe it is incorrect and not very transparent not to update the online menu or, at least, not to notify the customer of any changes, especially in a high-end restaurant context where expectations - rightly - are very high. A good experience overall, but with a bitter initial disappointment that could have easily been avoided with a little more clarity.

15/05/2025: I discovered this pizzeria during a lunch break. Excellent, eaten outside on a beautiful sunny day. This evening, inside, a thin, crispy and well-assorted pizza. Pleasant atmosphere and very kind staff. Booked for a class reunion on Friday 22nd, sure to make a good impression. Absolutely recommended and the quality/price ratio is exceptional. Compliments to all the staff! I have returned and I reconfirm everything and you are welcomed by a beautiful smile!!!

08/02/2025: El ristorante más fantástico justo en el Oporto con un chef estupendo... el mejor y más fresco marisco a la ligera... el estilo Branzino al forno Genovese es maravilloso... todo el pescado se sirve en su mesa... gran servicio estupendo! 16/11/2024: Sono ormai 10 anni che periodicamente io e la mia consorte andiamo dal "Matto" e ogni volta è sempre un piacere. Ammetto che ieri sera avevo chiamato prima altri due ristoranti, ma il primo era pieno e il secondo era chiuso.....e allora ci siamo detti: "chiamiamo la Gabbianella!". Destino! .......dovevamo tornarci almeno un'ultima volta! Ebbene si, come avremmo scoperto durante la serata, il locale, il "nostro" locale, chiude....e proprio 15 gg dopo. Destino, quello che ci ha permesso di godere ancora una volta dell'ottima cucina dello chef Antonio, della superba ospitalità sua e di suo figlio e di poter salutare e di ringraziare per tutti questi anni. Grazie "Matto", nella certezza che ieri sera non è stato un addio, ma solo un arrivederci! Marco e Sabrina

22/05/2025: Casi siempre marcamos la opción "Vista Escénica" en los filtros TA, pero se nos permitió elegir durante nuestra visita a la ciudad costera de Camogli, Italia. A menudo nos preocupamos un poco por los restaurantes basados en hoteles que tememos que hayan terminado, con un precio que cubre sus gastos generales extensos, pero Il Doge valió la pena la pequeña prima. Los langostinos a la parrilla eran algunos de los mejores que habíamos probado - condimento encantador, cáscara principal cortésmente quitado, cocinado justo para estar tierno y jugoso. Tenía la pasta de mariscos que era delicioso. Una ventaja adicional era que su terraza tenía toldos y el clima pronosticaba algunas duchas que pasaban por allí. Así que pudimos sentarnos bajo su protección y disfrutar de nuestras vistas panorámicas a pesar de un toque de inclemencias del tiempo.

15/03/2025: Cena meravigliosa . Piatti di un livello altissimo ma con sapori della tradizione . Materia prima di qualità e gentilezza e professionalità anche in sala . Non parliamo della vista che si gode . Felici anche i nostri bambini di 8 e 10 anni che hanno apprezzato sia il menù dedicato a loro che i primi come gnocchi al burro e salvia e trofie al pesto del menù normale . Grazie ci siamo sentiti proprio coccolati .

29/05/2025: It is located in the center of Genoa precisely in Piazza Colombo.. the fresh pasta with pesto is delicious ... I also had a roast beef with baked potatoes and it was equally good.. the prices are also quite cheap ... the wait is not much, 30 minutes we ate. Compliments I definitely recommend it

20/04/2025: The place is a reference for the city of Genoa. The dishes and sauces are truly quality. You need to have your number to be served. The staff is very quick at doing their job. You can also have lunch if you want. The portions are generous and excellent. The only negative criticism is the rigidity regarding the closing of the place in the evening. On the sign displayed it says that they are open hours and they close at 7.30pm. The fact is that if a person were to arrive at 7.10pm they won't serve them as there are no longer any booking numbers, even though there would still be 20 minutes left until closing. At this point they either write that the shop closes at 7pm, or they close the doors so that customers don't have access. I understand that the staff shouldn't give anything away to the management, but they should organize themselves better. I repeat that no one doubts the quality of this structure, but I was disappointed when I was told that people without a number would not be served, and there were several of us who were disappointed and waited in vain.
