Rustic and clean environment Barely adequate service⭐️⭐️⭐️ kind and fast but with a verbal menu without prices (a simple sheet of paper or blackboard would be enough for a more relaxed choice) and a dirty glass that was promptly changed after our request. Dishes ⭐️⭐️⭐️ with the second courses definitely better than the first courses. Complete dinner at €25 per person with a bottle of Barbera at €12. Value for money ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. If you drop by, you can definitely do it If I may, a menu on paper with prices would be a sure improvement at zero cost Update after reply Thanks for the kind reply, we stopped unaware that you did a fixed menu. We were not told about this for my review. I was not criticizing the choice of doing a fixed menu instead of an à la carte one (which seems like a good choice that allows you a better organization with cost containment and consequently lower expenses for customers) but better information for customers. 11/06/2025: Fresh pastry, delicious coffee, great atmosphere. The hostess fluently speaks Russian and English, we had a great discussion on Russian classical literature. All clean, toilet available. Nice and friendly dog. Will be happy to visit once again if ever back to Genoa.

03/05/2025: We were in this cosy restaurant in April 2025, it was a really amasing experience. All staff was very professional, all courses was super delicious. It was my birthday and their surprise with delicious cookies and candles was very satisfying. Probably the best thing in Genova was "The Cook"

10/07/2025: I booked a lunch at this beautiful restaurant for my daughter's second birthday on Sunday at a friend's recommendation, and we had a wonderful time! From the first call, they were very kind and professional, and they didn't disappoint. The place is truly well-designed and well-maintained, suitable for large groups (there were 16 of us), with large outdoor spaces for children and four-legged friends to play in, and accessible to those with disabilities. The service was attentive and fast, the food was delicious and authentic, and the price was fair and reasonable. We will definitely be back for dinner. The wood-fired pizza is highly recommended, and truly one of the best we've ever had. Thanks again for everything!

27/05/2025: The last time I was in Santo Stefano d’Aveto, starting from Farini (PC), I drove up to Rocca d’Aveto. Here I took the chairlift to the Prato della Cipolla refuge, landing in the beautiful grassy basin, surmounted by the spectacular spur called “Dente della Cipolla”. Once I reached the top, on the path of my trek, I had the pleasure of meeting the famous comedian Crozza who, as a gallant hiker of the place, greeted me first. That fact took me by surprise and, at that moment, I did not respond promptly... After apologizing, I later joined him in the characteristic restaurant hut, where his wife and actress Carla Signoris was waiting for him. The couple of actors coming from the mountain residence of Santo Stefano, had arrived on Prato Cipolla for the usual weekly walk to Ferriere (PC). It was very exciting to meet them, and I did not miss the opportunity to express my congratulations to both of them. And after an excellent snack on the house, I took my leave of that magical place, thanking everyone for the welcoming hospitality.

In this café there are a few tables inside and also outside in Piazza Fontane Marose and you can have breakfast and lunch. They don’t do aperitifs in the evening. Very kind, welcoming, smiling, competent, friendly and helpful barista and very attentive and fast service while the prices are really good!! 08/06/2025: Serata con amici. Appena entrati ci ha colpito la quantità di persone ai tavoli e il vociare, ma il servizio è stato veloce, camerieri molto disponibili, ottimo il cibo. Ritorneremo!!

23/05/2025: osteria discovered by chance ... oh what a great discovery! everything was delicious! from the vegetable flan as an appetizer to the panna cotta as a dessert, passing by the trenette with pesto and the tagliata that melts in your mouth! and then the main dish.. the snails! we asked for the addition of spicy, perfect! We had a great time, the staff was super professional and available to clarify every aspect of the menu and to advise you for the best. I highly recommend it!

25/05/2025: For arriving less than half an hour before closing time I would say excellent service and medium-high quality of all the dishes served! Ribs clearly not freshly prepared but still more than sufficient, excellent tartare and equally cut, I was very pleased with the availability of the chef despite the late hour and I got up from the table satisfied! My mother with somewhat difficult tastes was happy in the end (and that's no small thing) Thanks Grit! Price in line

08/05/2025: I fell in love with Grit Bistrot as soon as I entered! The fame of Villa Grit is already known here in the valley but I had never been there. So, intrigued, I went... I've never made a better choice! Famous for truffles, I tried their black truffle pasta, excellent. Handmade, very creamy, perfect. We won't talk about the cut with truffles, meat that melts in your mouth, excellent truffles and sublime side potatoes! For those who don't like the chaos of the city, the place is perfect. You ring the bell to enter, as if you were at a friend's house! The staff is made up of family members, restaurateurs for generations and with a great love for what they do! Give yourself a gift and go there at least once!

11/07/2025: Worst experience in my life!! I’ve lived and travelled around Northern Italy and Sardinia for the past 37months(3y & 1m) and have seen many great places. I speak decent Italian, however not like a native. On Friday July night between 20-22pm there were only 2 International families besides ours. The food was pretty tasteless, bread dry and un fresh. I ordered Paccheri con ragù di calamari( basically pasta with some calimari and cheery tomatoes). The waitress asked, “Is it OK if it will have some crab?” And I said “yes, that’s fine”. When I received my Paccheri it had a big crab on the plate beside pasta with basically nothing inside it. When we went to pay, instead of €13 for the Paccheri we were promised, the check for Paccheri came out to be €27!! The waitress stated that that’s the crab that costed €15 more, however she didn’t mention it while we were ordering. After a long while of arguments, the cost was returned however you CANNOT foul customers like that! It was horrible! Nonetheless, we booked the table with The Fork that promised us -20% for food however the cashier stated she didn’t know what that was! Horrible, horrible experience! Never rated any place lower than this one! Do not recommend!

09/07/2025: If you’re looking for authentic Genovese cuisine with an amazing atmosphere and the nicest owners/chefs/bakers/servers (because they do it all), this is the place! Helps to know Italian- we don’t know much- but we bumbled through with our Spanish and the owners were gracious and patient. With 20 years in business, they know their cuisine and what goes well together and which wines to pair. Not a meal to be rushed but savored and enjoyed- the way a meal should be. Tuck the phone away- unless you need translation help- and enjoy!!
