Pasticceria Tagliafico is a true institution in the East Genoa area and definitely worth a visit. The brioches are delicious, made with great care, but the real surprise for me was the Genoese: soft as a cloud, light and irresistible.
As soon as you enter, you can sense the history of a business that has managed to maintain its identity and its connection to the neighborhood over time.
A tip for those who want to try it: if you go on a weekend morning, be prepared for a long line.

Very good cappuccino, I didn't like the brioche, I thought it was filled with chocolate but instead only the dough was chocolate, I was a little disappointed 😞

I've been a customer for many years and I have to say the quality of the products is excellent, though the pastries at the coffee counter are perhaps a little small...
As for the staff, about whom I occasionally hear complaints, I find them to be excellent, just like the products. They work incredibly hard, trying to please everyone with kindness and professionalism. And I have to say that when faced with certain pretentious and rude customers (and there are some! I swear!) they don't react... but if it happens sometimes, it's only human. The customer isn't always right, especially those who think they're "who knows who!"

A Genoa institution! Excellent pastries and delicious breakfast items! If you want to try the sweet focaccia, get there early or you won't find anything! The puff pastry is truly exquisite, excellent value!

What a wonderful discovery!
We stopped by chance on Saturday afternoon, and I ate the best Genovese in the world, a cloud. We also returned for breakfast, and the krapfen were divine.
The staff were incredibly kind and authentic, and it will be a regular stop every time we're in Genoa again.

On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, I went to the Tagliafico pastry shop. A very kind and professional barista named Giorgia served me excellent coffee and recommended a fantastic cake. My sincere compliments to this woman for her kindness and professionalism. I will definitely be back.
