16/08/2025: We called in the afternoon to see if we could reserve a table for the evening, and were told the first available table was at 10:00 PM. We showed up at 9:30 PM, more worried about finding a parking spot than anything else. Once we approached the restaurant, we were "seated" by a young waiter who didn't seem particularly convinced. Free outdoor tables? Two. Indoors? At least four. We ordered seafood pasta, two trofie with squid, and a shrimp pasta. The waitress was quite dismissive when we asked for the pasta without parsley, explaining that it was because someone at the table was pregnant. We told the waitress that we'd order the main courses later since someone was unavailable at the time, and she responded with an "OK." The dishes arrived after almost half an hour, and we finished our first course. Meanwhile, we watched as the waitress seated three more people, saying that the kitchen was closed and they could only eat pizza, and that was a rush. Grumbling and groaning about it, she hears us say that at least she could have said, "The kitchen is about to close, if you want to order second courses." She comes back to tell us, and we order three fried squid and a plate of seafood mussels. She goes to ask in the kitchen, and I tell her everything's already closed. When I tell her that wasn't okay, she replies that it's normal for the kitchen to close at this hour, and that if we'd told her when we made the reservation that we wanted to eat there, she would have informed us it would close in half an hour. So, even though we arrived half an hour early, we couldn't finish our meal. We've been going to "dalla Mariuccia," as they say, for over twenty years. There have been ups and downs, depending on the season, depending on the time of year. The prices have gone up a bit, like everywhere else, but it was fine, as long as we were treated well, as long as we respected our customers. The waiter put the plates under the faces of two people simply by saying "pasta?" As if we hadn't ordered four, expecting us to distinguish the dishes for him. Between one story and another, we spent 84 euros for four people, including four first courses, two liters of water, and one liter of wine. We've celebrated everything at this restaurant, but this latest experience doesn't make us want to return—quite the opposite.

16/08/2025: Everything was excellent, from the quality to the portions, fair prices and good service. Unfortunately I only gave it four stars because inside (at least in summer) it's really too hot to the point of feeling uncomfortable and hoping to leave as soon as possible. Fix this and the five stars are yours by right.

02/09/2025: I came to eat with my family today. The staff was very friendly, but I was disappointed with the food. The portions were small and the quality was poor. The prices were high for what you get. I wouldn't go back.

02/09/2025: It used to be a pleasant place, but unfortunately the prices have gone up, the portions have gotten smaller, and the pizzas are gone. It's a shame, because the staff remains its only real strength.

30/07/2025: The staff are very attentive and friendly. The small square next to the restaurant is cozy and captures the charm of Genoa's historic center. The interior is very pleasant. The aperitif was excellent. I will definitely be back.

20/08/2025: On Ferragosto (August 15th) we went to this restaurant for lunch with our friends. It wasn't the first time, but it was one of many. I finally got around to writing this review. Anyone looking for authentic, traditional, and authentic cuisine can't go wrong here. EVERYTHING was excellent, from the appetizers to the desserts. The staff and owner were extremely friendly. Highly recommended.

28/06/2025: As for the cuisine, I found good products. On the contrary, the table service was terrible. It almost seemed like we were bothering the waiter, but rest assured, we won't be back.

29/08/2025: 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 I called to reserve a table on a hot summer evening, and was told there was no room outside, but inside. I asked if there was air conditioning, and was told yes (too bad the micro-split in a room of at least 90 square meters with the doors open probably wouldn't even have been enough to cool my bathroom!). The result was a sweat bath that lasted almost two hours. Yes, because at least an hour passes between when you sit down and when the first course arrives. The waiter who comes to take your order is a "Slavic gang leader" type: powerful arms covered in tattoos, a Slavic gang leader haircut, shaved at the bottom, longer on top, and the inevitable ponytail, earrings, bracelets, and maybe piercings (I was a bit afraid of him, so I didn't look at him for long). He asks you brusquely what you want, and you get the impression he's asking you what your last wish is before being executed. After exactly an hour, your food arrives—mediocre, I've already forgotten about it. You say nothing and don't order anything else for fear of the muscular guy. Then you go to the hostess at the cash register (of pre-Merlinian memory), where you pay a bill, high or low, which still sounds awful given the heat you've endured and the jitters you felt when the Balkan boss wrote your last wish in his notebook. Terrible atmosphere, terrible service, mediocre food, and the price is still wrong. To be avoided.

15/07/2025: Siamo andate il 15 luglio 2025 a bere un caffè...ottimo ..e dopo aver chiesto se facevano Margherita siamo tornate dopo 2 ore e abbiamo vissuto un esperienza veramente piacevole...sia per la qualità dei Margherita tutti diversi ma ugualmente perfetti sia per la presenza altrettanto piacevole e sia professionale che umanamente dello staff rappresentato da Paolo e chiara!! 05/08/2025: I went there yesterday for aperitivo with my kids, after a wonderful day at the beach. Simple, beautiful, a fabulous Black Forest weiss beer and excellent appetizers. Prices were more than fair. I'll definitely be back every time I'm in Spotorno 🥰

13/07/2025: Tonight, while strolling through the alleys of Spotorno, we approached this venue that was playing live music outside (on a public road) (I've included a photo to give you an idea). After just two minutes, undecided whether to stop or continue, a waiter approached us and bluntly told us, "Either you stay here and drink, or you leave!" Initially, incredulous at what I'd heard, I pointed out that the road is public and I can do whatever I want without bothering anyone. Dismayed by their attitude, we obviously decided to leave. Here, the famous "Ligurian welcome" had definitely reached its peak.

30/08/2025: If I ask for a quarter of a liter of wine and I'm told that the minimum order is half a liter, something is already wrong. Note the exorbitant price of 8.50 for a semi-tavernello🤣. Nothing to say about the quality of the second course and side dish, but 2 euros for a coffee? 7.50 for a cup of tiramisu? 2.50 for a cover charge? 🖐 BYE AND YOU WILL SURELY GET THE PUBLICITY YOU DESERVE! Ps. I respond to the serious offense directed at me by pointing out to the gentleman that if anything, it's his face whose function we don't quite understand given the perfect resemblance to his behind😂😂😂

17/08/2025: We stayed in the area for two weeks in July. During that time, my family and I ate at the restaurant nine times in the evening. The food and service were simply excellent. There was always a free extra. All dishes are reasonably priced by our standards here in Cologne. And if you have a special request for a dish, you just need to let us know the day before, and it will be served the next evening. We want to go back to the area next year and will definitely eat at Tony's again.

22/07/2025: A typical Italian bar and restaurant. At first glance, nothing special, but the friendly owner and the 18-year-old girl who works as a waitress have completely improved the impression. Smiling, friendly, helpful. Anything is possible, nothing is a problem. The pizzas are excellent, the grilled squid is ok, the mussels are good. The prices are lower than in fancy restaurants, but the atmosphere is more relaxed, there is no crowd. You can see that you are welcome. We love Italy and Italians.

13/08/2025: Pizzeria da Vincenzino is a must-visit in Bordighera (how wonderful it's reopened!) Extremely rustic, with just a few pizzas made strictly in a gas oven by the owner's mother, when you come you know you'll be waiting at least an hour and a half...you can't reserve, but that doesn't matter because you'll be eating a delicious pizza, unlike anything else...a little thick, crispy, flavorful, unmistakable...and everything else takes second place. The pizzeria will always be packed...you have to come at least 6:30 pm if you hope to eat...but it's worth it!!!!
