28/11/2025: A small bakery, but with a good selection of products. The brioches are delicious, as are the Baci di Diano. Reasonable prices. The lady who served me was very kind, helpful, and friendly.

07/04/2026: A trattoria like few others around: it serves typical Genoese cuisine: pesto, ragù, ravioli, tagliolini—basically, all homemade, just like it used to be. The pesto is very good, but the other sauces are equally as good. I'm disappointed by the 4 or 5 main courses, including side dishes. I've returned after years, and I must say it always lives up to expectations. The place is a bit retro, but clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The service is friendly, courteous, and you almost never have to wait. The portions are generous. There's a small private parking lot near the trattoria, but it can fit 5 or 6 cars; otherwise, there are plenty of them on the street outside. During the week, they offer a fixed-price menu for workers, and on weekends, you spend a little more, but you get much more. I was there again at Easter, and I must say I ate well. The place was packed. I recommend booking.

26/03/2026: Trattoria Giovannelli ..via Trasta 40 ...it is an old trattoria located after a small bridge that separates it from the road..here the atmosphere is informal and they serve Ligurian cuisine at truly honest prices..here the atmosphere is almost family and you are served with such kindness, the dishes are truly authentic and the service is fast and perfect with generous portions. They are perfect for those who want to eat differently from the usual while enjoying a truly tasty meal. Recommended here are the snails which must be ordered..but there are also delicious ravioli,..the cima alla genovese,..the stokke,..and many other delicious dishes. At the end of the meal comes...the tart,..or the cake with cream and fruit....or the fruit salad and finally the coffee..

The food is solid and satisfying—nothing overly elaborate, but well-prepared and true to local flavours, which is exactly what you’d hope for in a place like this. Service started off attentive and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere early in the meal. As the restaurant filled up, though, things understandably became a bit slower and less organized. It’s clear the staff works hard, but with a limited team handling a growing crowd, the pace naturally shifted. Overall, it’s a pleasant spot if you go in with the right expectations: simple, honest food and a relaxed environment where a bit of patience goes a long way.

19/04/2026: I'm sorry, I don't usually leave negative reviews, but unfortunately my stay at this place wasn't pleasant! The place itself is charming, despite its small size. We had an appetizer consisting of a good salami, mozzarella, mushrooms, and olives. However, the problem was the pizza. It wasn't well-leavened, the sauce was slightly acidic, and it was extremely spicy (I chose smoked scamorza, zucchini, and spicy spianata). Evidently, besides the spianata (which I usually eat), there was something else spicy. I don't mind strong flavors, but this pizza was decidedly inedible. It was as if someone had spilled a jar of chili pepper oil on it. I've been around far and wide, and until now, I've never left a pizza half-eaten... Needless to say, my stomach wasn't thankful (on a positive note, the bathrooms are very clean 😉). Guys, your staff is friendly, and it's a shame the pizza isn't up to Angelo's expectations. The place is quaint; I don't just want to criticize but also to encourage improvement. Come on!

09/03/2026: A truly fantastic stay! The hotel is in a stunning location on the sea and offers a relaxing atmosphere with attention to every detail. Every area is impeccably clean, making the stay even more enjoyable. The staff is always courteous, helpful, and highly professional. Another great feature is the restaurant, where the food is truly delicious, with carefully prepared, high-quality dishes. Breakfast was a real surprise: very good cappuccino and delicious homemade cakes, perfect for starting the day. Overall, everything was top-notch. I definitely recommend this place and will gladly return!

06/04/2026: I'll start by saying that I didn't go there to eat, and I'm not here to judge the atmosphere from that perspective. I'm here to judge those who manage entry during "parties," because, after waiting a good three hours and noticing certain people coming in, we asked several bouncers, given the long wait, if we could come in like other people were doing. Since, despite numerous requests, the situation wasn't improving, we received very arrogant responses from the staff (I understand that the situation wasn't the best, but we could have talked more calmly and managed everything better). I recommend this place only to those who come recommended! Thank you and have a good evening everyone.

18/10/2025: Lunch with a fantastic sea view. The location is a bit dated. Attentive service. Good menu selection and well-cooked food. The bill was quite high, but the view was worth the trip! Recommended.

04/01/2026: Great service, great setting, great atmosphere! The waiter did a fantastic job, the food was great too, the setting is superb with a stunning view, and it all works. The dishes are simple but good, and above all, inexpensive! Given the location, they could easily be a tourist trap, but no! We had a wonderful time. The best parts: the music is nice, the waiter speaks French and English, and there are easy vegan options.

22/11/2025: We had really yummy smoothies made with fresh fruit — apples, pears, oranges, and lemons. It was a great way to refresh after a hike between towns! Great views from the terrace, as well.

05/04/2026: Recommended by some friends, we wanted to try it, and we were super happy. Wonderful place in the greenery of Giusvalla, fixed menu for 35 euros, excellent food and good wine, even by the glass if you want. Very very kind owners and excellent service and above all they use local products "I'm from Altare and therefore I recognize the various products". We will definitely be back.

12/03/2026: I ate very well. I would like to point out that I am celiac. Apart from one starter, I was able to try all the pasta they make fresh. They replaced it for me with a gluten-free one. They also had packaged gluten-free bread. Thanks again for the attention I received as a celiac.

08/04/2026: This restaurant was so good. I started off asking the owner what time they opened. He told me 7:00 and it was 6:30. I stepped outside and he came out and told us to come in and eat. His name was Max. We sat down and our server was Fabio. Fabio was awesome and took very good care of us. We were so shocked that we were the only patrons in the restaurant because everything was outstanding. We had the white anchovies to start, then a seafood pasta and grilled squid. I tell you, the food was incredible. It was so good we came back the next day for lunch. The restaurant ended up getting a party of 50 tourists and that really made us happy. At the end of our meal, we thanked Fabio for his great service, thanked Max for his incredible food and also Frank the other cook in the house. Max, keep doing what you are doing which is cranking out wonderful food that we will come back for again. Cheers!! Tony & Betty M

05/04/2026: We went to the restaurant for Easter lunch, a pleasant day, with delicious, well-prepared dishes. There was a bit of a misunderstanding at first regarding the first courses, but the staff was immediately helpful and resolved the issue with kindness and professionalism. Overall, a positive experience, definitely worth considering.
