16/04/2026: I'm giving one star because I have to in order to post a review. Really disappointed. I waited 10 minutes outside the restaurant with my wife and daughter, and no one came to greet us. So I decided to sit down at a table, and two minutes later a woman came to us, condescendingly telling us the table was reserved. I definitely do not recommend it.

16/04/2026: The restaurant's quality is no longer what it used to be. The pasta was served lukewarm and tasteless. It used to be excellent, but now it's not good at all. I won't be going back.

07/04/2026: It's a restaurant where Italians themselves eat. Cozy, no frills. We got four large pizzas, about 35 or 40 cm in diameter, for €41. I ate my seafood so quickly that I forgot to take a picture. There were about 30 mussels and two prawns on it. Delicious. Unfortunately, there's little to no parking nearby in the evenings.

14/02/2026: A Valentine's Day evening to forget We booked for 8:30 pm with a set menu, and yet after an hour the first course had yet to arrive... while people who arrived after us had already finished their second course... We grabbed our table and left. The staff simply said that perhaps the slip of paper with our table number had been left under the others'... oh well. What a shame, a complete disappointment!

08/02/2026: Invited by friends, we discovered this lovely trattoria where we received a very warm welcome and had a delightful evening. Culinary specialties from Liguria made with fresh, flavorful ingredients, prepared by a chef who puts all his passion into delighting your taste buds. Thank you to Renata and the owner for the excellent service. ❤️ We highly recommend this trattoria. We can't wait to return on our next trip to Liguria. 🤗

01/09/2025: We arrived at 12:15 just to be told they open at 12:30, not being offered to look at the menu in the meantime or to sit down somewhere to wait (it was empty). The place is obviously charming, food was ok, very small portions for the price but ok given the location, however the coperto 5€ per person sounds like a scam for a simple trattoria without even proper tablecloths…not to mention there is lots of room for improvement in the service and the welcome.

24/08/2025: I'd like to give it 100 stars, but I can't! Last night I had dinner with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary, and thanks to the wonderful evening, the location, and the dinner, we had a wonderful evening! Excellent food and wine, very fresh fish, and friendly staff. I honestly don't understand the negative reviews that kept us from booking! Some people should do what they know how to do, not keyboard food critics, who probably don't know how to cook a hard-boiled egg! Thank you so much to the owner and our waiter for their kindness! 05/01/2026: I stayed at this property during a short winter getaway in Liguria. Unfortunately, due to the season, I wasn't able to fully enjoy the outdoor space, which is truly worthwhile for its splendid views. The highlight is undoubtedly the owner, who proved to be a delightful, kind, and very helpful person. Breakfast was also very good, although, in keeping with local tradition, I would have appreciated a savory option or a small taste of Ligurian focaccia. The only downside was the room, which fell short of my expectations, especially considering the €100 price tag. The furnishings are far too minimalist and lack counter space; the bed, with a spring mattress, was unfortunately uncomfortable. Thermal comfort was also subpar: the radiators were turned off, and heating was provided solely by the heat pump air conditioning. Overall, a wonderful welcome, but the room could use some improvement in terms of detail and comfort.

28/11/2025: A glass of white wine ordered as normal (served without appetizers) at €7 at the counter seems very excessive to me, it is advisable to ask the prices first.

28/02/2026: Excellent if you're heading to the Bormida Valley from Liguria. We recommend stopping here without any pretensions, but with a satisfying experience every time. Breakfast, a snack, lunch, or dinner are all worth a stop. Ever since we discovered it, a stop has become a must and a truly satisfying experience.

06/04/2026: We arrived without a reservation on our return to Venice. We knew the place and wanted to return, hoping for luck at finding a table and bringing our friends... Very kind lady. Fast and helpful service... Excellent food... homemade... The tortellini in broth... the trio of first courses... you can tell everything is homemade... from the pasta to the sauce... the lamb and the beef steak were superb (finally meat that tastes like meat... super flavorful). We also took home the pesto they made because it was excellent... thank you so much for your kindness. A big hug and see you soon 💪💪

06/04/2026: La Scaletta is a classic, historic trattoria that never disappoints: authentic cuisine, quality ingredients, and a wealth of tradition in its dishes. The portions are generous and the preparation is meticulous. The pesto is truly excellent, the tortelli al ragù are fantastic, and the main courses are also top-notch, always well-executed and flavorful. The atmosphere is typical of a trattoria, simple and welcoming, perfect for those seeking the flavors of yesteryear. The only slightly less positive aspect is the price, which has increased in recent years on several dishes. It's still a good place, however, and the food is very good. Overall, a great experience, definitely recommended.
