14/11/2025: If you want to eat well in Certosa, in the heart of the Polcevera Valley, you absolutely must stop at this family-run trattoria. The dishes are always meticulously prepared and, above all, rich in flavor. The menu changes based on the freshest ingredients of the day, carefully selected by Chef Alessandra, a true master in the kitchen. Every time we return, she always manages to surprise us with new recipes and irresistible dishes. One of the features that makes this restaurant the best in the Polcevera Valley and Certosa is the consistent quality of both the cuisine and the service—a rare thing, given that other restaurants in the area can vary greatly. 09/12/2025: The pizza is truly unique, light, crispy, and generously topped. Other dishes are also delicious. Extremely friendly service. Prices are absolutely reasonable and accessible to most. I've been back every summer, including this summer of 2025. I must say, after six years, I still maintain my extremely positive overall opinion! I especially thank and greet the kind lady (I think the owner) who takes reservations over the phone, greets us upon arrival, and bids us farewell at the end of the meal. Can we find a flaw? The outdoor seating area is slightly sloped, making it uncomfortable to sit in some areas. I will continue to recommend and return.

29/11/2025: Recommended by friends and family, three of us went for dinner on a Saturday night, and it didn't make a good impression right away... The entrance is very narrow, where the cash register is located, so it creates a lot of confusion between those entering and exiting. The pizza is decent with a lot of choices, but the quality is like many other pizzerias that, for the same reason, have lower prices. The spaghetti with clams is good, but the paella is very expensive for the price. The rice is boiled, salty, and only contains shellfish... Overall, a no-go!!!

27/11/2025: In addition to the main structure, which are the swimming pools, it is an interesting meeting point for dining with various restaurants, some very good.

16/11/2025: I haven't eaten so well in years; from the appetizers to the side dishes, everything was truly delicious. Pub in the evening, bar in the morning, restaurant at noon. Highly recommended, it's definitely worth it; we paid €32 per person for the full meal, excluding drinks. The vegetable and cheese soufflé was indescribably delicious.

14/10/2025: We went for mushrooms and truffles. What can I say? EVERYTHING AWESOME!!!!! Delicious appetizers (I recommend the veal with tuna sauce, stuffed peppers, and beef carpaccio with raw mushrooms), fantastic first courses, and fabulous second courses. We ate divinely, the waiters were excellent and professional. Simple location. Highly recommended!!!!

14/11/2025: On someone's recommendation, we decided to try it. It's a rustic place that makes you feel at home as soon as you set foot in. Antonella welcomed us with open arms. Her hospitality and friendliness are undeniable, and we truly appreciated it! The dinner was simply delicious, offering a wide range of dishes. We chose the mixed seafood appetizer, which you'll find in the first photo, upon recommendation. It's highly recommended for both its freshness and abundance. For our first course, we opted for the seafood spaghetti. We couldn't have made a better choice; it was delicious. In conclusion, if you're passing through Chiavari, we absolutely recommend this place for both lunch and dinner. You won't regret it.

14/10/2025: Nice clean environment, fast and courteous service, very attentive to various requests. Food in this case excellent pizza and desserts, good and well filled, definitely worth returning to, excellent management which in these times doesn't hurt 💝

20/10/2025: My experience was overall positive. It was our first time. What can I say? Good, authentic food. The place is dated but clean. Perhaps a little too crowded. The waiters are always rushing around. A uniform would be a nice touch. The price is fair and appropriate for the dishes offered. The things I didn't like: if I reserve a table (reservation accepted) and arrive on time, I should find it free. I don't have to wait. Handing out a menu and saying (as early as 1 pm) "This one's sold out." I don't have any more of that. That's not nice. Anyway, in the end, all was well.

24/11/2025: Located just steps from the beach, this waterfront venue is a little oasis where time seems to slow down. As soon as you arrive, you're greeted by a relaxed atmosphere, with the sound of the waves in the background and a light breeze making every moment even more enjoyable.

02/11/2025: The waitress was extremely unfriendly, and several dishes listed on the menu and chalkboard were no longer available... even though it was only 8:30 pm! The food served was mediocre. Avoid this restaurant!

26/10/2025: My dad got a beer here while I did a tasting flight of 5 wines (white/red/dessert). We are from Sonoma County, so the wines were sub-par. They did give healthy pours for the tasting which was nice. The dessert wine was delicious and we got two bottles to take home. This is their most expensive wine, as I imagine that the majority of what they sell. We got another wine to take back to our AirBnB and ended up pouring it down the drain. The beer my dad drank was okay. The charcuterie and cheese was delicious. We would recommend dining here for their charcuterie and sipping on their dessert wine. We were sat down rather quickly but the service was slow. The waitress was very friendly, but took a long time to help us (as she was very busy). It looked like a family-run business. There was one woman at the check out register sitting there chatting it up with a customer sitting nearby, another man in the back who eventually helped us at the register (also very nice), and the poor waitress doing everything imaginable. For the price per person I am choosing a more expensive option, as the dessert wine we chose was 75€ apiece. The charcuterie was reasonably priced.

15/07/2025: Real homey atmosphere, amazing food, they cook like they used to. Everything we ate was excellent. I absolutely recommend it!

09/06/2025: Good simple food at hand. We go often and also take takeaway when we want to eat special dishes like braised venison that takes just the right amount of time to prepare. Smart girls but with some help they could improve. The potential is there!

03/12/2025: This evening I went to dinner at Piedigrotta, a white pizza with mushrooms and fresh artichokes... excellent, a must try... I paid well-deserved compliments to the pizza chef Antonio on duty on Tuesdays.

16/11/2025: I had lunch today, Sunday, following the menu suggestions: first course, second course, dessert, coffee and liqueur, for 14 euros with very attentive service in a comfortable setting.

08/09/2025: Friday lunch for two without a reservation. The €15 menu includes a first course, second course, dessert, and a 1/4 glass of wine. No waiting. Excellent restaurant quality, trattoria prices. If it were near my house, I'd definitely be a regular. Recommended.

15/08/2025: I used to come to this restaurant all the time, even with my parents. Today I wanted to take my partner to celebrate Ferragosto (August 15th)... a negative experience, to say the least, is an understatement!! Extremely long waits, mediocre food of average quality. The best thing was the bread, even if it was salty. I understand it's Ferragosto (August 15th), but it doesn't justify everything else. I'm sorry, but we won't be returning, and we won't be advertising well. Extremely poor value for money... Poor quality and high price.

15/10/2025: Greed at the expense of service quality The restaurant is very famous, pseudo-elegant, and expensive, but people likely continue to frequent it for some reason related to the quality of the food. Unfortunately, the owner's desire to never lose a single customer and to always keep tables full with at least two seats per evening completely negates any positive aspects of the culinary quality, replacing them with total disorganization and a lack of respect for the customers. We had a reservation for four people at 9:30 PM and arrived promptly. When we arrived, the waiter asked us to be patient for about five minutes because they were "slightly struggling." We waited 15 minutes and noticed at least a dozen groups in the alley outside who, like us, had reservations but were still waiting for their tables. When we asked the waiter again how much longer we would have to stand, he replied, visibly out of breath, that it would be about another 15 minutes. This meant we'd start eating at 10:00 PM. We would have preferred to leave, but we decided to wait. Very calmly, every now and then someone from the small groups waiting managed to sit down. After the customary 15 minutes, it was 10:00 PM: none of us were still seated. Inside the restaurant, a few people were eating while 70% of the customers were waiting to be served. We waited another 20 minutes—arriving at 10:20 PM—without anyone leaving their tables. Many customers continued to wait for their dishes. At that point, we decided to leave at 10:30 PM, after an hour of pointless waiting. If a restaurant that claims to be elegant and high-end doesn't have the courage to inform customers that they must vacate their tables by a set time—which is in any case unbecoming of the style of a place of this kind—then it shouldn't accept any more reservations. To the owner, I say: since you're not worried about the risk of empty tables due to selfishness and greed, simply not accepting any more reservations would do your reputation much more credit. I'll conclude by reminding you that I used to frequent this restaurant about thirty years ago, but I stopped going because there were already unpleasant service issues back then that kept me away from there ever since.

05/09/2025: This place has the best gelatos in Torino. I had cherry, pistachio, and coffee flavors. So nice and not too sweet which I like. They open until late, so convenient to reach out for night snacks. Especially, the staff, young lady, was so kind and has sweet manner for customers. I asked where the bus stop was, she kindly showed the way I should go. I want to visit here more times while I am staying in Torino. I highly recommend this place to try.

22/10/2025: Cool villa hotel. Very nice, especially in the evening for a bottle of good wine. The rooms are simple but functional. Centrally located and convenient. We'd love to come back. Viva Lavagna!

14/10/2025: It's a beautiful place, beautifully decorated with taste and discretion. The welcome is warm and attentive. Ideally located; 5 minutes from the highway and a 10-minute walk from the old town center and the beaches. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The high ceilings make you feel like you're sleeping in a palace. This place is highly recommended and worth a visit. A pleasure. Thank you.
