20/07/2026: We were welcomed here and received hospitably by the staff just under half an hour before closing time. The food was excellent and the staff helpful. Although this restaurant has a more formal atmosphere, we were received very hospitably here with our daughter.

02/08/2026: A place that might seem a bit unnoticed from the outside, but inside you'll discover a true gem. Comfortable atmosphere, pleasant decor, and an open kitchen, which in my humble opinion is always a plus. The menu is short but well-curated, with a nice mix to satisfy all tastes. The appetizers are mouth-watering, the first courses intriguing, and the second courses spot on. The desserts deserve an honorable mention; the tiramisu was perfect. I chose the pastrami croquettes—I've never seen pastrami on a menu in Genoa—and the octopus; for the first course, I'll be back. Everything was perfect, with balanced and interesting flavors. The staff was impeccable and extremely helpful with some of our requests. Overall, highly recommended.

The very kind owner sells her products well by letting you sample them. A notable bonus is that she speaks several languages. We returned the next day to try more unusual flavors.

31/05/2026: Pork knuckle for €18 wasn't worth that much, it's just a filling meal, but there's no flavor or anything else. A place that's neither good nor bad, but it falls short of expectations. It's a 5-star establishment, and you think you're going to find a place with good food, but instead... Photos of old reviews show that everything has gone up in price since last year, another disappointment for those who rely on reviews.

10/08/2026: The quality of their dishes deserves 5 stars, no doubt about it. But making people wait over an hour between two courses is unacceptable. The excuse of "we were caught off guard by the high number of reservations," with only half the tables occupied, is embarrassing. If they'd simply said they'd missed the order, it would have been better. Another flaw: the room-temperature drinks... After the owner's response, I'm downgrading my review to 2 stars and want to address each point: 1. Did you find a seat? We had reservations! 2. Was the place full? Half the tables were empty. 3. The watered-down drink with ice was definitely not acceptable. 4. You could have refused the €30 voucher if it had expired (we didn't force you to accept it). 5. €44 plus €30 in vouchers equals €74. Making people wait over an hour between two courses... 6. We're not hard to please, but we're used to dining in restaurants and accommodations. When we encounter mediocrity, we point it out and praise those who do their job with professionalism and quality. You made the mistake! Don't play the victim, because you're not one at all. 30/06/2026: Perhaps 5 stars is not enough to rate this little restaurant where you eat very well with friendly, well-prepared and attentive staff. It's a shame I was in a bit of a hurry, otherwise I would have tried the whole menu. The chef is excellent, as is all her staff. If you happen to be in Genoa, I recommend stopping by for lunch or dinner. It's truly worth it.

26/06/2026: Very nice place, the staff is very kind and knowledgeable. We ate very well, the ravioli al tocco really delicious, mandilli in the true sense of the word "mandilli de Sea" very thin... super Fassona cheesecake. Prices below the average of Genoa, highly recommended.

A traditional restaurant, now one of the few, where you can savor our Ligurian dishes that accompanied us in our childhood years when our grandparents lovingly prepared them for us. Here you can find the delicate Mandilli de Sea, with pesto. Thin sheets of pasta topped with a well-made Genoese pesto. Important meat dishes: tripe, Tomaxelle, rabbit. Highly recommended also for the vast selection of wines, not only national. The prices offer an excellent value. Reservations are recommended, as the restaurant is very small. Closed on Wednesdays.

18/08/2026: When looking for a restaurant serving authentic regional Italian cuisine prepared with great care, I tend to trust Osterie d’italia more than the Michelin Guide. The first proper meal of this trip was at Caccia Ca Bouge in Campo Ligure, a beautiful village right next to the Autostrada leading down to Liguria. I went there to try the Minestrone Genovese, which was voted the best soup in Italy last year, if I remember correctly. The extensive wine selection and friendliness of the young cellar manager, Andrea, stood out, and I stuffed myself with authentic Ligurian food that felt genuine and universally appealing—not just dishes using simple basil pesto, but Ligurian-style roasted rabbit and Genoese-style Tomasella. Il primo vero pranzo di questo viaggio è stato da Caccia Ca’ Bugge, nel bellissimo borgo di Campo Ligure, appena fuori dall’autostrada che porta verso la Liguria. Sono venuto sopratutto per assaggiare il Minestrone Genovese, premiato qualche anno fa come una delle migliori zuppe d’Italia. Mi ha colpito la grande lista dei bini e gentilezza di Andrea, response della cantina. Abbiamo gustato piatti tipici liguri preparati con ingredienti del territorio, come la Mandilli col Pesto, Tomaxelle alla genovese e il coniglio alla Ligure, tutti sani e davvero saporiti. Alla fine siamo usciti più che sazi, con la pancia piena e molto soddisfatti.
