05/01/2026: Sweet or savory? There's not much to say... Everything was delicious and highly recommended! The staff was top notch!
27/08/2025: This year, Scalvini was my go-to breakfast spot during the August holidays. I chose to alternate a bit of everything from one morning to the next, trying various products: I started with a slice of classic Ligurian white focaccia (here without lard); with whole wheat and whole wheat with added seeds.
I continued with the brioche with just the right amount of sweet jam and a cream bombolone, perhaps a little too fried—I didn't digest it very well.
I finished with the vegan brioche with green stripes and finally with puff pastry squares filled with ham and stracchino cheese.
I went every morning when they opened, even though Ilaria makes you wait a few minutes... but the products and her friendliness definitely make it worth it.

Terrible value for money, a starter, a first course, wine and coffee 29 euros, for a Saturday at lunchtime in a fairly anonymous trattoria, very noisy, food neither infamy nor praise, few smiles I would say it is truly exaggerated!

Delicious, high-quality dishes.
Prices are slightly higher than average, but justified by the attention to detail!

They're careful to specify that they don't offer mixed fried fish, both on the menu and over the phone. The place is small, and the service could be improved. In any case, it's worth a try.

11/10/2025: I was out walking the dogs at Gaiazza and it was getting late, I called and asked if we could eat something... Despite the time and the 4 dogs they told me to go anyway... They were very kind and helpful.. and I ate a delicious plate of trofie with pesto!!!

The best bistro in San Remo! 🍴 The lasagna is delicious – delicate, aromatic, and freshly prepared. The staff is very friendly, smiling, and helpful. Definitely worth a visit – I highly recommend it! ✅

26/09/2025: The gluten-free sandwiches are good, but it's a shame that the bread used is the packaged kind found in supermarkets, and that since they've been gluten-free for years, they haven't yet managed to offer gluten-free chips and bacon (and contamination). Even though the sandwiches have been revisited (removing ingredients like beacon), there's still a surcharge on the gluten-free menu.

04/03/2026: Unfortunately, after trying it a second time, I have to give it a negative review. The farinata, which was their strong point, was completely soaked in oil and didn't even seem cooked. Inedible. I gave it a second chance. This was it. STOP!
27/01/2026: A small, great bastion of authentic Genoese cuisine. The new management has relaunched the historic restaurant in the spirit of true Genoese tradition. Here you can enjoy farinata as God intended. Cooked in a wood-fired oven. Thin and crispy to perfection. When I see tourists queuing up to eat farinata that bears no resemblance to the real thing, I feel sick. What do they think of this extraordinary dish?! At this restaurant, you'll find all the traditional Genoese dishes prepared with excellent ingredients and at a fair price. The service is courteous and helpful. A little off the beaten tourist track. But for us Genoese, that's a blessing 😊
