01/03/2026: The ultimate meat sushi! The meat is tartared on the spot, enhancing its flavor and tenderness. Every bite was an explosion of emotions. The staff was very kind and helpful, and before serving you at your table they'd provide a little storytelling about the origins of the meat. With the AYCE plan, you also get a charcuterie board with a cut that melts in your mouth.

04/04/2026: Rudeness first and foremost. I went to the restroom with my family as requested by the ice cream shop, but since my daughter is in a wheelchair, the staff forced me to consume a product that was supposed to be free. A terrible experience at this place near the Vatican. Everyone asked for money! Terrible bar and management with the ice cream shop.

21/03/2026: I'll start by saying we were wrong not to call to check if they allow dogs... unfortunately, they aren't... and that's understandable. Every establishment is free to decide whether or not to let them in! But the arrogance with which the "gentleman" who comes out to call customers to come in said this is truly unpleasant!!! Dogs aren't allowed in, it's even written on the door!!! So we turned around, and in the meantime I replied: "The only establishment in Rome that doesn't allow dogs!" And he, in his ignorance, replied: "I'm unique in everything!!!" And I said: "Lucky you!" I'll conclude with no comment! The food may even be good, but with this presentation alone, FAIL!!! A place, in addition to having good food, must also have good manners towards its customers, and they clearly don't have any!

05/04/2026: We went to "Da i Fratelli" today for Easter lunch and couldn't have made a better choice. We opted for the full menu, and the motto was: abundance! From appetizers to desserts, every course was generous and of excellent quality. In addition to their ever-present classics, we enjoyed traditional Easter dishes: exquisite coratella (a kind of pasta with artichokes and bacon), mouth-watering strozzapreti (a type of pasta with artichokes and bacon), and masterfully cooked lamb and lamb ribs. To round things off, in addition to the homemade ricotta and chocolate tart, we were also served a Colomba (a traditional Easter cake). The atmosphere was the added bonus: during lunch, a musician stopped by, playing and singing Roman folk songs, captivating us, making us all sing along, but with the right amount of grace and without ever overdoing it. The staff was kind, helpful, and always attentive, despite it being a holiday. If you're looking for the true Ariccina fraschetta experience, this is the place. Top choice!

15/03/2026: The only good thing about a forgettable day at Borgo Mandela. Arriving to visit the palace of the Marchesi Del Gallo di Roccagiovine, we found the doors locked because the staff had unilaterally decided to cancel the 3:00 PM tour, which was clearly stated on the website. We stopped for breakfast at this sincere trattoria. Traditional food of excellent quality, the service always managed in a family-like manner by the owner's charming and friendly daughter, is simple but perhaps could be improved. The fresh pasta, cordoncini del frate, with bacon and artichokes, is exceptional. The tripe and grilled vegetables are delicious. The white focaccia with olive oil is amazing (although the Umbrian oil is definitely better). The price is fair.

08/02/2026: The location is well-presented, well-kept, and pleasant, but unfortunately, the overall experience was decidedly negative. We sat down at 2:00 PM and ordered right away. Before we even received our appetizers, we weren't even served a basket of bread, a detail that already betrays a certain lack of customer service. After over an hour of waiting, the waiter informed us that the ingredients for the truffle risotto I had ordered were out, as were the fillet steak. It was unacceptable to find out this so late, without any prior notice. Even worse was the spaghetti with tomato sauce ordered for my son, which arrived after a wait of about two hours. The staff appeared tired and visibly fatigued, with obvious difficulties managing the dining room and the customers. It's a shame, because the restaurant has potential, but the service and organization made the lunch extremely disappointing. An experience not to be repeated.
