18/04/2026: We arrived for dinner and were immediately seated at a table for two. The decor was simple yet tasteful, with attention to detail, from the blue and white striped napkins to the fabric bread basket with colorful fish prints. The sea view is the touch of scenery that creates a charming backdrop to the restaurant. The food was incredibly fresh and well-prepared. A generous and delicious mussel sauté and excellent fried calamari and shrimp.

16/04/2026: Had an absolutely incredible dinner here tonight. The restaurant is beautiful, light, and airy, right on the beach. Feels like you are eating at home but with an amazing chef and great staff 😁. I started with the canapés with mango and salmon. Very creative and the mango sauce is fantastic. Then the ravioli. I took my first bite and thought “I’ve died and gone to heaven.” I did not want that dish to end. Lastly the tiramisu. Everything was so good and I will be back. This is my first time visiting and I would come back just for another meal here.

Rude, arrogant, unpleasant, and frankly disgusting behavior from both staff and owners. They clearly do not treat non-Italian customers with respect. The attitude is hostile, intimidating, and deeply unprofessional. They don't even serve wine properly — something basic for any serious restaurant. When a complaint is made, the waiters try to intimidate the customer instead of solving the problem. This is not fine dining — it's pure arrogance without substance. A restaurant like this deserves zero for service. The owners are rude, dismissive, and completely unfit to run a hospitality business. Worst restaurant experience in Rome. If you want to eat good fish, go to Pierluigi or Assunta Madre. Avoid Il San Lorenzo — even for free. A place that honestly should be shut down Il San Lorenzo – Shameful Service Despite the food quality being just okay, the service is simply awful. The waiters and owners are rude, arrogant, unpleasant, and disgusting. It's clear that non-Italians aren't treated with respect. The attitude is aggressive, intimidating, and completely unprofessional. They don't even know how to properly serve wine, which is unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber. 02/05/2026: Dinner for three, featuring different styles: carbonara, pizza, and cutlets. Everything was delicious, but a special mention goes to the pizza: thin, perfectly cooked, and generously topped with fresh ingredients. The service was quite quick considering it was only 8:30 PM, and very friendly. The place is spacious and clean. It was recommended to us by new Roman friends, and I must say it lived up to our expectations. We'll definitely be back.

01/05/2026: We went out for dinner last night and were totally surprised. The result was an exceptional pizza (Tonnarella) and delicious spaghetti (Cacio e Pepe). There wasn't a table available, so we were seated at the bar until one was ready. Then we got our table and our appetizers: beef tartare and a stuffed zucchini blossom. Wow! The ambiance was also five stars; we felt truly welcome. We didn't have an English menu, but our very friendly English-speaking server looked after us throughout the evening. Thank you, and we highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Italian cuisine.

13/04/2026: It was our first time there, and we had the mixed grill... amazing! The same goes for the knafe, absolutely recommended. Wonderful place and atmosphere! The shisha is a must-try, and the kindness and helpfulness were top-notch. Go there with peace of mind and treat yourself to this experience :)

06/05/2026: A safe bet for enjoying Roman cuisine or a thin Roman pizza. Free street parking is available near the San Paolo metro station, a 5-minute walk from the restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Since it's a very popular place on weekends, it's best to book a table. All in all, very positive.

03/03/2026: It's always nice to return to eat at DA Locanda Ruggeri, a go-to place when we're in Terracina. Everything is unique and excellent, from the food to the hospitality. We'll be back soon!!! A must try!

03/03/2026: This place was known for a €120 smartbox that included three courses and a bottle of wine. I ordered a €30 bottle of prosecco instead of the white wine and was told I'd pay the difference, but I paid for the bottle in full, so the other bottle was lost. The final bill included two bread baskets worth €2.50 each, brought to me before the appetizer, paired with a local olive oil. I hadn't ordered it, thinking it was free, but I ended up paying for it. I'm not a big fan of bread. Moving on to the food, both appetizers were good, the raw sea bass and the friselle with scampi. For the first course, a scorpion fish mix, which could have used a pinch of extra salt, and the second courses were also very good. For dessert, I wasn't particularly pleased with the chocolate cake, which didn't have a warm center and was served in a small pan, making it awkward to eat. The place was very beautiful, and the staff was friendly and helpful. At the end of lunch, between the Smartbox and the price difference (including the infamous bottle and bread baskets), I ended up spending €175, which I thought was too much for what I ate (with €10 for a cruel cake with no chocolate center, which I thought was excessive). What can I say? Go, but maybe without getting a Smartbox.

18/04/2026: Maybe it was Easter Monday, but there was a lot of confusion at the tables. Dishes meant for other tables kept arriving, and we all ate at different times (there were 6 of us, 3 and 2 of whom had the same dish). The location was very beautiful, the food was good, especially in some areas (meat), but the "Roman" dishes weren't the best (the carbonara didn't seem to have an egg, the supplì fell apart, and it didn't taste like supplì). We hadn't gotten the message sent days before that we were fewer, even though they had responded.
