The cuisine is excellent, the welcome by Elisa was truly an added value. Before leaving, we had the pleasure of meeting the manager of the location, Mr. Maurizio, an exquisite person with very elegant manners, who also made us experience the true soul of this historic building. Recommended to all those who are looking for a unique, original and, at the same time, traditional experience linked to the authentic values ​​of life.

14/09/2025: We went for lunch without a reservation, just for fun, and I have to say we had a really good time. We arrived around 2:00 PM and finished lunch at 3:15 PM. The service was quick and the food was excellent, definitely worth it. The prices are fair, and I highly recommend it.

04/10/2025: La Taverna offers authentic cuisine, featuring traditional Roman dishes, pizza, and meat, using quality ingredients. Personally, I recommend it for the grilled meat. My favorite is the cockerel, freshly prepared, but the steaks and tagliata are also tasty and well-prepared, at a fair price. Among the usual side dishes, the "cicoria della nonna" (chicory and potatoes) and, when available, fresh grilled porcini mushrooms are special. The setting is reminiscent of an inn, and the service is professional and friendly.

20/09/2025: The service and food were top-notch, especially the meat dishes. The staff was quick, knowledgeable, and attentive. Except for the one pizza that arrived late, all the other dishes, of various types, were served simultaneously, and we were a table of 14. The wait times between courses were also reasonable. I always come back because it's a sure thing.

29/09/2025: We were here a while ago and sat down at 8:30 PM, but we only managed to eat until 11:00 PM, even though we had two children with us. Terrible service and, above all, the attitude of the waiter (the dark-haired guy who appears to be the head waiter) was truly unacceptable: to our requests and our disappointment, he replied that the delay was our fault because we had ordered different dishes. In reality, we didn't order anything special beyond what was on their menu (pasta, arrosticini, and meat), dishes that normally take a maximum of 30 minutes to prepare. Absolutely avoid: there are many other nice places in the area, with much more polite and welcoming staff.

07/09/2025: Years ago I often came to the Pizzeria Capocavallo, then the last time we had dinner with relatives we were really treated badly, poor dishes and absent staff, well it can happen, last night dinner with relatives, there were 11 of us, good and tasty house appetizer, then there are those who had pizza, my husband and my son had lamb scottadito, what a disappointment, pieces of lamb strangely all the same and in my opinion and mine, completely tasteless, we were unable to finish it, out of 4 pieces we managed to eat 2, even my daughter-in-law did not like the mixed grill, it will be because we are used to eating lamb ordered whole from my trusted butcher who gets them local, perhaps, the fact is that she did not like it, the amber draft beer was nothing special, it lacked the flavor and aroma of malt, I consoled myself with the crema catalana which in my opinion is revisited because instead of cinnamon there is vanilla, but I find it good Same. Let's recap: the location has the feel of a place that's been gradually expanded, lacking a certain order, but it's pleasant enough. I think the staff could be bigger on Saturdays. The dishes, including the house appetizer, are good, but I don't know about the rest. I've only eaten a few dishes over time. I've noticed that prices have gone up for everything, and I have my doubts about the quality. But I have to say, there were a lot of people yesterday, so it's a place people really enjoy going to.

30/08/2025: Nice, clean place, and delicious pizza, especially the toppings! For an appetizer, I recommend the zucchini flowers, super crispy and fresh. And the eggplant meatballs, super tasty and delicious. For pizza, I had the Parma, and I have to say it was delicious... the only flaw was the service, perhaps the speed could be improved... otherwise, it was an excellent dinner, the staff was friendly and smiling.

15/08/2025: Finding this restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Intrigued by the charming atmosphere of the village of Monte San Giovanni Campano, we decided to stop for dinner. We were immediately greeted by the extremely professional staff, who explained the delicious menu to us. We ate deliciously and spent a wonderful evening in an enchanting place. We stumbled upon it by chance, and we'll definitely be back!

20/09/2025: Best pizza in Rome!! Especially the Neapolitan-style pizza, incredibly soft, even if the extra euro is a bit pricey. In any case, the Roman option is perfect if you're not too hungry.
