14/12/2025: I remembered it better... something's changed. At 1:50 PM we order the first courses... they ask us if we should order the second courses right away or later, taking our time... we decide later... the first courses arrive at 3:20 PM... we try to order the second courses immediately... but by then the grill was no longer available. What can I say... I was still hungry, the food was decent. The service was confusing. Let's see the bill now, hahahaha. P.S. I hadn't even finished writing this before they brought out a second course of suckling pig for everyone, free of charge. Thanks and I'm changing my review.

13/12/2025: Yesterday, the 12th of this month, I went to lunch at the Roman restaurant La Sabina with about 30 friends for the first time (and it will certainly be the last). It was an experience I will never forget. The appetizer was decidedly poor quality and dated, the two first courses—fettuccine with porcini mushrooms—were tasteless and sparing in content, and the mutton gnocchi were barely adequate. The second course consisted of unidentified meat, inedible due to its toughness, comparable to shoe soles. Baked potatoes and salad. Water and wine in abundance. I decided not to try the cake. A decidedly negative experience, and I do not recommend this place.

27/02/2026: A nice pub with the right atmosphere. You can choose to sit in the basement, street level, or outside. It's a great option to pair with watching a big game. Good food and beers, although there used to be a better option. Friendly staff, and service can be a bit slow at peak times; prices are in line with the area and the food. I come here often.

13/02/2026: Busy when we were there and luckily got a table downstairs. Only top bar open which made it a bit of a faff going downstairs in dim light. Reasonable choice of drinks at slightly dearer prices than expected. Food looked good. Staff quick and efficient.

31/12/2025: Healthy, fresh food, varied, plentiful, and affordable. All the waiters were attentive and friendly.

27/12/2025: A pleasant surprise at this little self-service restaurant: perfectly cooked vegetables, pasta, etc. You can create your own plate as you like for a very reasonable price. All this just a few steps from the Vatican.

23/12/2025: A truly excellent experience. I went with a group of friends, and from the moment we arrived, the staff was extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful: each dish was carefully explained to us, making us appreciate what we were about to enjoy even more. Their kindness, however, was the true added value of the evening, rare and sincere. Paolo, the owner, was a wonderful person, making us feel at ease and conveying the passion he puts into his business. The quality-price ratio was also excellent, absolutely in line with the quality offered. Highly recommended restaurant: I will definitely be back.

30/01/2026: I had a great experience at this little place. I was looking for something light and healthy for lunch, and it was a pleasant discovery. All the ingredients are fresh, and the rice is really good and not all sticky like it often is at other places. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be happy to return! The girl serving was also really nice and kind :)🥰

07/03/2026: We visited this restaurant on October 18, 2025, during a visit to Castel Gandolfo. The place is very charming and the atmosphere is pleasant, especially if you want a quiet break after a stroll through the center. We really enjoyed the food: we ordered truly excellent truffle gnocchi, a very unique and tasty wild boar dish served in a pumpkin, and at the end, a dessert with chestnut cream was recommended, which was also very good. We accompanied our meal with wine, and overall, the dining experience was very positive. Unfortunately, something happened when paying that left me perplexed. After asking for the bill inside, I paid without immediately checking the receipt because I trusted it. Only later, as I was leaving the restaurant, did I notice that a bottle of water had been added to the bill that we had never ordered or received. I didn't go back to argue because we were having a great day, so I didn't want to ruin the moment with an argument. However, the situation left me with an unpleasant feeling. The kitchen is definitely worth a visit, but I advise customers to always check the bill before paying.

10/01/2026: Excellence. It easily competes among the top 10 cocktail bars in Rome for cocktail quality, alongside much more renowned names. Daniele is the very young and highly skilled bartender: he has a mathematical knack and manages to deliver the exact same sensory experience every time I order my beloved Lobo Verde. The only negative about the cocktails: they don't last long enough, and I'm forced to order at least two more. Plus, they recently introduced an all-you-can-eat menu of pinsa and fried food—truly out of this world. Another strong point is the desserts: out of this world (the chocolate sphere tiramisu made me come back even without wanting to drink). Expensive? Yes, but no. You'd never go to a Michelin-starred restaurant and expect to pay the same as at a pizzeria. Here, you'll spend a little more than at a pub, but no more than at another cocktail bar, where, however, the quality is significantly lower. We're in the range of €13–15 per cocktail: more than fair for the quality. It's a top-notch experience. You have to try it at least once.

01/02/2026: What bread! We weren't expecting such a good sandwich! My daughter, who usually leaves out the bread, ate the entire ciabatta from her sandwich. Everyone was very kind and helpful.

28/12/2025: A pleasant discovery on a lazy Sunday between holidays. Very friendly staff, exceptional sandwiches, the smell of the sea just steps away... I hope to see you again soon. I'll be back and bring more friends, because you truly deserve it!

08/11/2025: The place is wonderful and very reasonably priced. We sat down during peak hours, but the waiters were still very attentive and served us very quickly. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend it. They also offer takeout.

22/11/2025: A classic restaurant built to generate revenue without quality or customer service. Tables were stuck together, ours was placed right in front of the entrance, causing us great discomfort due to the constant comings and goings and the cold!!! Another serious issue was that when we booked, we weren't told they work shifts, so at 9:30 PM sharp, they showed up and told us we'd have to leave. Poor quality food; in a rush, the meat was burned on the outside and raw on the inside. The fries tasted like rancid oil. We found a dirty napkin on the table and menus smeared with sauce. The waiters sneered at our complaints or made unprofessional excuses, and in the end, not even a discount or a sincere apology. Never again.

25/02/2026: We returned to this restaurant for the second time. We were truly satisfied with both the food and the very kind, attentive, and professional staff. They were all young. We ate very well and paid a fair price. The quality was excellent. The first courses were excellent, the meat, and the artichokes. The focaccia with pancetta was a delight. Next time I'll try the pizza because the dough is excellent and it didn't hurt me (I'm intolerant to yeast). I recommend the tiramisu. Even though it was Sunday and the place was packed, the wait was short. I recommend it. I can't wait to go back 💜

31/01/2026: Capocavallo is the result of decades of work. You can tell because the structure is architecturally a collection of spaces constructed with different materials. A kind of fun Tetris game. But above all, there's the courtesy and helpfulness of the owners, who make you feel "at home." The fettuccine dish was the only thing I ate, but more than the dish itself, I liked the elegant simplicity of the table setting. I'll definitely be back.

18/02/2026: 7 or 8 beers on tap, all of them high quality and with fair prices (6 or 7 euros average), informal and relatively warm atmosphere, very different from the typical aseptic places dedicated to craft beer!!!
