18/01/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant on a Sunday, which was, as expected, very crowded. I don't usually complain about small inconveniences, but on this occasion, there were several issues that compromised the experience. The service was completely disorganized: the first courses arrived about 10 minutes apart, which was unacceptable for a table of four, not to mention the decidedly long wait. Furthermore, dessert was served about 40 minutes after our coffee and liqueurs. We had also ordered baked potatoes, which never arrived, but we found them on our bill anyway (we only noticed once we got home). The food, all in all, wasn't bad: perhaps a little too much oil in the spaghetti with clams and the arrosticini served without salt, but overall, the quality was decent and the price was reasonable. Unfortunately, the experience was ruined by the service, which seemed unprofessional for the price paid. I understand the difficulties of a struggling industry and the need to maximize revenue, but when service and cuisine aren't adequate for the volume of customers, you inevitably risk disappointing someone. Making things even more unpleasant was the fact that the table next to ours, clearly made up of acquaintances of the waiter, ate first, despite having ordered after us: dessert arrived promptly, they even had an ice bucket for the wine, and the waiter chatted with them for a long time. We felt like second-class customers, which is unacceptable considering the final bill. I'm sorry, but overall the experience was a negative one.

14/01/2026: Two different days in the same week, completely different portions... This isn't the first time I've noticed discrepancies in portions and dishes at this restaurant after years of frequenting it. I'm a regular customer, but this time I'm very disappointed. After pointing out to management the huge difference between the photo of the dish taken a few days earlier and the one taken on my last visit a few days later that week, instead of an apology and admission of the mistake, I hear: "Next time you come, tell me it's you and I'll make you a larger portion." At the checkout, a paltry liqueur was offered... all customers MUST be treated equally since everyone pays the same amount. Unacceptable... I hope it never happens again, otherwise I'll never set foot in this restaurant again... Keep your eyes peeled and point out this discrepancy to management if it happens to you too...

07/01/2026: Ristorante Al Piave is a guarantee: I come here often and it's always the first place that comes to mind, perfect for any occasion. Last night I was here with a friend and, as always, I immediately felt at home thanks to the warm atmosphere and the kind and friendly staff. The menu is varied and carefully crafted. I had an exceptional amatriciana, undoubtedly the best in Rome, flavorful and perfectly balanced. We then shared a Florentine steak, perfectly cooked and the meat tender and flavorful. All accompanied by a good wine, thanks to their wide selection. A place that never disappoints and that I truly recommend to everyone!!!

Ristorante Al Piave is a unique place: every dish is prepared with the utmost care, and you can immediately sense the high quality of everything served. The seafood platter I ordered was incredible, fresh, and delicious, while the pasta with clams was flavorful and creamy. To finish, a mango muffin with a delicate almond and coconut crumble made the meal truly special... The staff is kind, professional, and always available: thanks to Mary and Daniele, we never got bored between courses!! The location is ideal, right in the center of Rome, easy to reach, and perfect for a quality break during a stroll around the city. A restaurant you absolutely must try, an experience that will remain in the hearts of those who love good food!! 😋

31/12/2025: Dinner after a paddle tennis match with colleagues. The pizza was delicious, crispy Roman-style, and the amatriciana. Friendly staff, family atmosphere.

03/12/2025: We went for a birthday lunch. We waited over an hour for appetizers. As for the first course, the linguine was excellent, the amatriciana tasted like nothing, and the risotto crema di scambi was undercooked and didn't taste like scampi. The waiter didn't change the orders because they asked to remove certain dishes, but he brought them anyway. However, there were two children who only ate appetizers because they were hungry and didn't want to wait any longer for the main course.

24/01/2026: We celebrated my 30th birthday here and everything was perfect. A huge thank you to Carlo, the manager, for his helpfulness and attentiveness, and to Francesco and all the waiters for their impeccable service. The food was truly remarkable, with locally sourced ingredients and reasonable prices. Thanks again to all the staff, it was a truly positive experience!

04/01/2026: Great atmosphere and even better music on Xmas day. Food was all based on Tartufo and/or mushrooms which I do not eat so drank basic house wine (not the best)

03/02/2026: Excellent service: Riccardo welcomed us, served us, and pampered us with skill and experience. The location is very welcoming, though a bit noisy, making conversation difficult. Unfortunately, the food didn't seem up to par with the rest of the menu. The pizzas, a little undercooked, were rather soft instead of crispy. The spaghetti with clams was unremarkable. The puntarelle, though very fresh, would have been delicious, but without vinegar and garlic, I found them tasteless. The desserts were excellent, including the orange tiramisu and the chocolate-heart cake. The liqueur to finish was spectacular, a sort of Irish coffee with rum, with steaming bubbles and spices, offered by the good Riccardo. It was truly superb!

31/01/2026: A very beautiful and welcoming place. Well-maintained and clean. It's divided into a restaurant and a large garden for aperitifs. I don't think it's a child-friendly place, if you want to relax. More suitable for couples or groups of friends. We ate pizza. Excellent products. We ordered: a glass Coke, 3 supplì and 1 croquette, 3 Margherita pizzas, and we paid €60. The fried foods have a super crispy coating, and the mozzarella inside is like a phone. The pizzas are thin and wood-fired. The quality of the tomatoes and mozzarella is exceptional. The staff is very polite and attentive to the customer. Having gone with my husband and children, I ate with a bit of trepidation, because since they wanted to go play in the beautiful garden, it wasn't possible because it was forbidden.

12/12/2025: Walking around rome is one of my favorite things to do. Walk around enough and you will need to chill and relax. Maybe you need a book to read? Maybe you need a beer. Maybe you need both. Altroquando has become my favorite place to chill and unwind.

27/12/2025: A pleasant surprise at this little self-service restaurant: perfectly cooked vegetables, pasta, etc. You can create your own plate as you like for a very reasonable price. All this just a few steps from the Vatican.

12/12/2025: We had dinner with friends, about ten of us, and we had a great time, but I'd like to highlight the pizza. It was DELICIOUS, Roman-style, light, easy to digest, and left you thirsty all night and in the morning. Fair prices, a simple, pleasant neighborhood atmosphere. The service was a bit slow/distracted, but that's a small detail for improvement in my opinion. I'll definitely be back. Well done.

09/02/2026: My husband and I went for pizza. Based on the reviews, we expected it to be very tasty. Unfortunately, the taste of the pizza was a bit of a disappointment. Compared to others in Rome, this one was very poor. It tasted bland and flavorless. Unfortunately, the tomato sauce wasn't impressive, and the pizza base was burnt. The service was very friendly 😊

The silence and tranquility are in the greenery, surrounded by mountains and farm animals. It's a paradise for children and the same for us adults. The prices are top-notch, the quality is the same. The owners are very good people. I can't understand what problems people can have when they find something wrong even where it isn't there, but as always, out of 500 reviews, there must be someone who SAYS that something is wrong. The usual person who would have said EVERYTHING IS GOOD if everyone else had said EVERYTHING IS BAD.
