23/08/2025: Whenever I go to Viterbo (I live elsewhere), I drive all the way here, and this review would be over already. Excellent and original sandwiches with homemade bread (at least it seems to be the flavor and texture), with many vegetarian options (AMEN!!!). Delicious toasted, but even better when fresh. Superlative coffee. As I sat there one Saturday morning, The Cure's playlist came on, while the owners, relaxing, prepared more sandwiches at the counter. What can I say? Relaxing.

21/08/2025: This is a sandwich bar and food shop, not a proper restaurant. But they do serve tasty and original tramezzini, light on toppings but very varied and healthy. Some are toasted, others are not, appropriately depending on the ingredients. They are accompanied by various good-quality cured meats and cold cuts, assorted bruschetta, and delicious, moderately aged pecorino cheeses. To accompany the cheeses, they also offer some delicious homemade jams. The platters are generous and plentiful (AYCE, which I also served even though I was alone), including a glass of wine or a spritz. The owners are very kind and helpful; for three generous platters, a glass of wine, a liqueur, and an extra mineral water, I spent less than 20 euros. I don't know if they'll keep this promotion going, but for now, it's true. The place is very simple and unpretentious, yet welcoming and pleasant, and the owners are friendly. I highly recommend it.

23/11/2025: O you who happen to pass before this inn, be careful and turn your steps elsewhere. For I, a wretched traveler, found here not comfort nor the delight of the table, but such pain and sorrow that the memory still pains me. The dishes, which the cook boasted as the works worthy of lords and knights, instead seemed insipid and undone, as if born without love. And the red wine, which should have brought joy to the heart, tasted more of vinegar than of grapes. The servant, with a face so rude that he seemed born into enmity with the human race, made the waiting become a torment, and his words were as harsh as thorns. But I say to whoever hears me: Flee this place, for it will do you little honor, and seek elsewhere gentler refreshment and a table that, though simple, brings joy instead of sorrow.

14/12/2025: We came in September 2025 with my friend who is gluten intolerant. The restaurant is very well located, just steps from the Pantheon but in a side street, making it less busy and much quieter. We thoroughly enjoyed our linguine with clams. We will gladly return to the restaurant on our next trip to Rome 🤩

12/12/2025: Returned for the second time ... A must when we come to Rome ... Excellent food and excellent service, plus everything is excellent gluten-free

05/12/2025: Good food, but very poor service. We were a group of three, yet our plates were brought at completely different times. The staff seemed to underestimate the customers — we had already paid the bill, but the waiter still asked another waiter whether we were trying to leave without paying.

02/12/2025: Delicious food, short wait time, prices comparable to other places, and incredibly friendly service. We found it strange to see it so quiet. Highly recommended.

23/11/2025: Historic local restaurant. Sunday lunch. Welcoming and friendly staff. Large and comfortable dining room. Traditional dishes perfectly executed, rich and plentiful appetizers. Superlative first courses, truly top-notch grilled second courses, tender and tasty lamb that's finger-licking good, truly special pomegranate guinea fowl. Perfectly served tiramisu. A surefire way to enjoy good food and budget-friendly prices. Great as always!

14/12/2025: Good Roman cuisine, excellent service, a slightly chic, rustic, old-fashioned Roman atmosphere, but still beautiful. A little too far from the road, but perhaps that's precisely why it's convenient. If you're in the area, definitely try it.

12/12/2025: Two incredibly salty carbonaras that we barely touched. The stuffed pepper was very salty, and the coppa was overly flavorful (we don't know how they were seasoned, because the seasoning is a secret and he wouldn't tell us). We didn't know if there might have been anything that would have caused an allergy. The owner and the restaurant manager were truly unfriendly and unprofessional.

28/10/2025: Friendly staff, well-cooked dishes, fresh fish. We regret having discovered it only the night before our departure. Recommended Try the grouper porchetta, a delicate and surprising dish.

08/11/2025: I bought some porchetta here and was a little disappointed: it was dry and stringy (porchetta should melt in your mouth), and my husband almost lost a tooth because of a bone (normally, there shouldn't be one). Anyway, I'm giving it 3 stars because the staff is really kind.

30/11/2025: We discovered Osteria La Scaletta just a few weeks ago and immediately fell in love! Since then, it's officially become one of our favorite places to return to whenever we can. The welcome is fantastic: the staff are always incredibly kind, smiling, and make you feel at home. The dishes are plentiful and delicious. We tried appetizers, first courses, second courses, and desserts and were beyond satisfied! We were there for lunch today and even ordered dinner to take home: meatballs, lamb, and broccoli... 10 out of 10, even reheated. Congratulations to everyone!
