19/10/2025: For almost two years now, it's been the perfect combination of quality products and friendly staff. The place is small, yet warm and welcoming, a gathering place that, with its outdoor seating, takes you back to years spent in joy and carefree fun!!! Kudos to everyone, and keep it up!

18/10/2025: We discovered Vin Allegro in Trastevere near our accommodations, and our golf cart tour guide later recommended it too! The appetizers and wine were excellent, and our server Eleanora made the experience especially enjoyable with her kind and attentive service. Lovely atmosphere—we’ll definitely return when we’re back in Rome!

17/10/2025: Enjoyed a lovely dinner with great service in this wonderful escape from the crowds, constant noise and adolescent graffiti.

08/12/2025: From Vetralla, take the turnoff for Blera, about 10 km, and you'll find this restaurant, which fortunately welcomed us at 2:40 PM. Today, with the Christmas markets, it was sold out. Let's move on to the food: we limited ourselves to an appetizer and two first courses, which I would say were exceptional: Pici alla boscaiola and fettuccine with truffles. The pasta was strictly homemade. The red wine by the glass was good and pleasant. We'll return later.

06/12/2025: We came to Villa San Giovanni to walk the Three Villages Trail and stumbled upon this trattoria. We couldn't have asked for more: a family-friendly, traditional atmosphere, a wide selection of quality local dishes on the menu, and helpful waiters. The pezzata di pecora (sheep's meat) is a must-try. We'll be back!

04/10/2025: Stopped for lunch and had an amazing meal - fish so fresh and perfectly cooked. Best fish restaurant ever!

14/09/2025: In my gastronomic wanderings, Sassola stands out as the forefather of trattorias. The spaghetti made in the south is a must-try.

06/12/2025: It was our first evening in Rome and we were delighted by the food and ambiance.

13/11/2025: I was staying near Termini Station and decided to visit this restaurant as it was close to the hotel. There were several other restaurants nearby, but I was so glad I chose this one. There was no discrimination against Asians, the staff were all friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I ordered the Margherita and Carbonara, and both were absolutely delicious. The Carbonara is to die for, so I highly recommend it. It was the best dinner ever.

17/09/2025: Spurred by the excellent reviews, I decided to try pizza at this place, but unfortunately I was very disappointed. The pizza wasn't good at all: undercooked and with a flavorless Margherita sauce. It's a shame, because the place is cute, in the style of an old-fashioned fraschetta, and the staff was kind and helpful. However, the price was definitely too high for the quality of the food served! I expected more! But I'll be back to try Roman cuisine!

The staff was friendly and kind, and they recommended so many things to eat, and there were so many of them, and they were delicious... I'll gladly return. 01/12/2025: I've frequented this bar-restaurant several times and have always been satisfied, thanks to the courteous and helpful staff who contribute to the pleasant atmosphere. The first time I tried an excellent, fresh and generous salad with cherry tomatoes, lettuce, corn, julienned carrots, arugula, tuna, and buffalo mozzarella, while on December 23, 2023, I returned with my wife to celebrate her fortieth birthday with my daughter Arianna. We enjoyed excellent prawns and a truly well-made panettone. I also appreciated the convenient payment options with credit and debit cards and the fact that the restaurant is open on holidays. More recently, on December 1, 2025, I tried a flavorful and well-creamed scampi cream risotto. In short, this is a restaurant worth visiting for its consistent quality, attentive service, and tasty dishes, with a fully deserved four stars.

13/09/2025: Given the reviews, I was hoping for better, but unfortunately, it wasn't. Anyway, the food wasn't bad. I had vegan chocolate, coffee, pistachio, and alchermes zabaglione. All the products were perfectly adequate, except for one, but they lacked a certain oomph—let's say ethereal. The flavors were decently made from an ice cream standpoint, although the use of neutral flavors was perhaps excessive; more precisely, they were very fluffy, bordering on "fluffy." I found some impurities in the chocolate, I believe, due to the neutral flavor not having completely dissolved during preparation. The best experience was with the coffee and pistachio. The alchermes zabaglione flavor is incomprehensible... besides, zabaglione is a mixture where, in addition to egg yolk and sugar, there's always a WINE, from Marsala to other fortified and/or passito wines, never a LIQUEUR or a distillate. In these cases, it's better to use the definition "cream of..." In short, I didn't like it, even though I'm a friend of alchermes, since zuppa inglese is one of my favorite desserts. I'll definitely be back to try all the flavors and get a more complete idea.

06/07/2025: I thought long and hard about whether to apply here, because I really want it to remain an insider tip. You arrive and feel welcome. The hosts, Anna and Pino, really deserve 10 stars. The room was spacious and clean. The food was delicious and just what you'd imagine Italy to be. We were able to recharge our batteries here on our way to Rome, in this peaceful spot.

10/12/2025: I've been coming to the Hotel Excelsior for many years. The staff is always helpful and professional. A special thanks to Mr. Mauro Cleri, who is always prompt and available to assist me at the reception desk.

08/12/2025: I had expected significantly more from a 5-star hotel. My first room (No. 341 on the 3rd floor) was severely affected by street noise – a restful sleep was virtually impossible, as the windows seemed to offer no soundproofing whatsoever. I was subsequently upgraded to room 576 on the 5th floor. Unfortunately, this was no improvement: the air conditioning unit on the roof was clearly audible, which was also very disruptive. Overall, both rooms gave a rather old and worn impression, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this category. For the price charged, I expected a much higher quality. In my opinion, this hotel is by no means up to 5-star standards.

19/10/2025: For those of us who go every Sunday for lunch, it's become a family atmosphere. They make us feel at home, and we love them all. The food is divine, and we recommend it to everyone. Gianni and Luana

27/09/2025: We stopped by last night early, and even though we didn't have a reservation, we were lucky to get a table for two. We already knew the place, and it once again proves to be an excellent place for lunch or dinner. The service from the girls was excellent, kind and smiling, the grilled meat and chicken were superb (the chicken thighs were divine), and the desserts were delicious. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely be back!

25/08/2025: I found this restaurant near where I’m staying and honestly didn’t expect much at first—but wow, the food was absolutely delicious! If you want to try authentic local Italian dishes, I highly recommend coming here. I had the spaghetti and the “devil octopus,” and both were sooo good. On top of that, the staff were incredibly kind and made sure I had a great time with amazing food. They even gave me a gift, which was such a thoughtful touch. Definitely coming back again!
