Great atmosphere. Excellent service. Lots of locals eat here, which speaks volumes about the quality. The food is very good, with generous portions. It can be difficult to find a table on weekends, but reservations are recommended.

Lovely place off the beaten path near the Metro. We ate outside because there was a nice breeze sitting among the locals. Food was very good and fresh, and the prices are very affordable. We had several appetizers to include freshly delivered mozzarella, and 4 pasta dishes to include arrabbiata which was perfectly spicy, and amatriciana that had great chunks of guanciale. We finished with homemade tiramisu' and lemon sorbet, and espresso.

We had a lovely meal here and the owner was very lovely. The portions were great for the money and the wine even better too. A great authentic, family, Roman restaurant.

Scrocchiarella pizza was beautifully crunchy, but very thin and "poor" with toppings. However, when my gaze saw the cooked meat meals, I immediately started salivating and cursing my poor decision-making. The place is convenient and feels like a local home diner.

20/04/2026: I visited Taverna Mari in Grottaferrata and had a truly delightful experience. Four of us arrived without a reservation, even quite late at 3:00 PM, and yet we were greeted with great courtesy and helpfulness. A detail we truly appreciated. The restaurant is welcoming, with attention to detail. The staff was kind, helpful, and always attentive without being intrusive. The dishes were beautifully presented, prepared with quality ingredients, and had an authentic flavor. You could sense their passion for traditional cuisine and the attention to detail in every course. The quality-price ratio was also excellent, considering the level of service and cuisine. A place we'd love to return to and one I recommend to anyone who wants to eat well in the Castelli Romani area. Congratulations!
