13/11/2025: Service was pretty slow despite them not being busy. It was about 9pm and there was no line to get in. We were also sat in the back of a cramped corner of the middle room despite there being several tables open in other areas that seemed more spacious. At one point it even felt like we were purposely being ignored since an Italian couple who sat down 10 minutes after us were seated next to the lady making the fresh pasta and had their order taken within 3 min and even got their food served before the waiter could even get to us. When we finally had our order taken after 15 min of waiting, the attitude of our waiter seemed pretty off as well. It felt like he didn’t want us there at all. As for the food, we started off with red wine and their caprese which was good. We also had the carbonara since that’s what was recommended but it just tasted wayyyyy too salty and the pasta seemed undercooked. And I’m someone who likes to add salt to everything too. I’ve read the restaurant’s responses to other reviewers who has the same criticism on TripAdvisor and they’ve kept responding that “Roman food is typically salty” so take that as you will with a grain of salt (haha). Just wanted to let anyone know in case they felt the same way about the taste. They also mentioned in their other responses to other reviews that we could have returned our dishes to have it remade but we didn’t want to seem rude. We also got tiramisu which was surprisingly my favorite dish from the restaurant. I went up to the cashier to pay but was just left standing awkwardly for an extended period of time as the cashier was busy making small talk to her coworkers despite the restaurant no longer being busy at that point. I mean like only 2-3 tables still eating and 5 workers crowded in the main room just hanging out while I’m waiting to pay. Could just be a cultural difference so idk but it’s something to keep in mind for anyone reading this. Overall, pretty mid compared to my expectations with all the hype I’ve seen and food was okay. We had high expectations due to the recommendations from social media so I’m not sure if their quality went down due to them being trendy lately. I honestly didn’t even know they had that whole gimmick with the lady making fresh pasta at the front but I’m sure that’s part of the reason why this place is famous. Fyi: don’t trust the palettes of food reviewers from reddit or tiktok lol

13/11/2025: It was quite an experience, reminding me that what's good isn't in the ostentatious but in the simple things made with love. Thank you so much, I will always remember the ravioli with tomato sauce.

29/10/2025: On a bike ride, I simply stopped for a coffee, but I spotted some excellent platters of cured meats and ham (we're in Bassano!!).

08/10/2025: The Rigatoni Carbonara was simply a masterpiece – so incredibly creamy, harmonious, and full of flavor that I'm at a loss for words. From the very first bite, it was clear: this isn't just plain pasta – it's pure magic on a plate. The aroma, the texture, the flavor – everything perfectly balanced. The pecorino melted with the velvety egg yolk to create a sauce that wrapped itself around the rigatoni like silk, while the guanciale, with its delicate seasoning, enhanced every bite. I had to close my eyes to truly experience this moment – ​​it was so heavenly, intense, and perfect. The service and ambiance were also outstanding – warm, professional, and simply a place where you feel at home. But the focus is clearly on this dreamy Rigatoni Carbonara, which you simply have to try at least once in your life. A culinary experience you'll never forget – simply divine and absolutely recommended!

12/11/2025: I was so happy to have enjoyed delicious Mediterranean food in the town of Fiumicino on my last night in Italy. Everyone, from the staff to the owner, was so nice. They were happy to share the food and stories about each other. I would definitely return if I come back.

27/10/2025: The Borgo is a hotel and restaurant located in a truly historic spot in Acquapendente. Located behind the town hall, it offers excellent service with select food, local specialties, and meticulously prepared dishes. Run in a homely manner, the staff is friendly and very hospitable. Highly recommended.

12/10/2025: We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, it was excellent! We only ordered main courses, which included delicious wild boar and fantastic rabbit! Not to mention their tiramisu, don't wait to hear about it!!! Highly recommended, we had a wonderful time!

04/12/2025: A charming location near the Trevi Fountain in Rome. Excellent Roman cuisine, a truly top-notch carbonara...the cacio e pepe was also excellent. Abundant dishes and competitive prices. I recommend it to anyone in the area! Young and very polite staff.

23/11/2025: Elegant atmosphere. We went for an aperitif. Reservations were easy via the website with confirmation via WhatsApp. The staff was polite and friendly. The wine cellar is well-stocked, with meticulous attention to detail. It's wonderful to go into a restaurant and see the kitchen open to the public, something very few places have.

13/11/2025: I received bonus money on the website (the one shown in the photo) and thought: why not treat myself to a good dinner? And honestly, it turned out great. The dish was truly tasty — I loved the soft texture and the freshness of the ingredients.

12/11/2025: Excellent friendly service. We enjoyed their bruschetta, pate's on bread, and anchovies appies along with great local wine recommendations. Don't expect super fast service, you're meant to enjoy your time here. Prices are reasonable, food is delicious, gets very busy after 6:30pm, ideally arrive by 5:30.

09/11/2025: Went for an aperitif and enjoyed it so much that we returned several days later to share a fantastic bottle of wine. This place came recommended by my airbnb host and I’m so glad we got to experience it. If and when I return to Rome, I hope to find this place is still as wonderful as it was the first time.
