I've been wanting to try Cantina Simonetti for a while, and I must say my expectations were more than met. The restaurant is located in the heart of Frascati, overlooking a truly charming little square that I imagine becomes even more pleasant in the warmer months thanks to the outdoor seating. For now, I've been able to enjoy the interior: a cozy, warm, and welcoming room that immediately makes you feel at ease. We chose several off-menu dishes, and every dish was a confirmation: Ascolana olives stuffed with porchetta, Jewish-style artichokes, mezze maniche with oxtail sauce, and pannicolo with endive and carrot cream. Everything was extremely tasty and carefully prepared. A special mention goes to the oxtail sauce, truly exceptional, rich and enveloping, and to the pannicolo, cooked to perfection and served with its own juices: tender, flavorful, and executed with great technique. To accompany everything, two excellent red wines selected from a well-stocked cellar, further enhancing the experience. We finished on a high note with a delicious zabaglione and complimentary donuts, a gesture always greatly appreciated. Impeccable service: attentive, friendly, and never intrusive. A place definitely worth a visit... and one I'll gladly return to, perhaps to enjoy the summer version as well.

Cantina Simonetti is a great place in Frascati for those seeking traditional local cuisine, with a few subtle twists that make the dishes interesting without distorting their identity. The atmosphere is informal and pleasant, and the service was courteous and helpful, which always contributes to a more relaxed dinner. Among the dishes I tried, I really enjoyed the coratella, well-prepared and flavorful, a dish that perfectly captures the local tradition. The Ascoli olives stuffed with porchetta were also excellent, a tasty twist on the classic version and decidedly successful. Overall, the food is good, with the cuisine remaining faithful to tradition but with a few original ideas here and there. The only small complaint concerns the cream served at the end of the meal, which was quite alcoholic. Nothing dramatic, but perhaps it would have been helpful to point this out before bringing it to the table so everyone knew what to expect. That said, the experience was still positive: the food is good, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere remains that of a trattoria that showcases local flavors. Passed. A great place for those who want to try traditional Frascati dishes with some interesting twists.

An excellent experience at this Frascati restaurant, a gem in the historic center. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, attentive, and service was prompt. The food, I'd say, was excellent quality and well-cooked. The Schiaffoni alla Frascatana served in a pot were superb. The price was right.

The place is very cozy and the food was absolutely amazing. Everything was delicious, the ingredients were fresh and of great quality. The pasta was outstanding, the meat extremely tender, and the homemade olive ascolana were some of the best I’ve ever had!! Check this place out ;)
