18/11/2025: The best prices and very good coffee and pastry but I didn't like we couldn't sit at the table, only at the bar chairs as it was said that sitting at the table is only for the customers that order meals as well.
15/11/2025: This is a small, very natural Rome caffe. Extremely good value for money, the caffe is unpretentious in its slightly eccentric fading Gothic theme, but the coffee is great. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They have a strong local clientele but are also understanding of foreign visitors. We had coffee here on three of the four mornings we stayed nearby and already by our second visit the lady owner remembered our order on our last visit. The croissants and pastries were good too. Places like this are to be treasured in the midst of the world stampede towards tourist-orientated offerings. Go there.

02/03/2026: I returned after an absence of eight years, that is, since they opened a few months earlier. I found the professional place I remembered, with truly excellent cuisine and attentive, courteous service: a true contemporary osteria, the likes of which can be counted on one hand in Rome. The two appetizers I tried were truly remarkable: marinated beef, hazelnuts, and buffalo caciotta; roast pumpkin, goat cheese, and mixed salad with yogurt. I'll return every day. Perfect prices. The owner is the perfect blend of professionalism, courtesy, and friendliness. Bravo, bravo, bravo. One of my favorite places in Rome.

11/03/2026: I stopped for lunch on my way back from Rome, and I can vouch for the excellent restaurant, very close to the Magliano Sabina highway exit. I ate delicious Roman dishes in an elegant setting, including a truly fabulous lamb stew. The wait staff was extremely friendly and prompt, and the bill was reasonable for the food and service.
11/03/2026: Review based on the restaurant. Too expensive: 1 cacio e pepe first course (mediocre and very small portion compared to the average) + 1 sautéed chicory (inedible because it was full of chili pepper, and the top was red, not green!) + water and coffee = €28.
There are MUCH BETTER options in the area.

10/03/2026: Great find in the heart of Rome! Traditional menu focusing on Roman specialties with fresh ingredients and generous portions. Everything I tried was excellent, from the artichoke and spinach salads to the carbonara and the chestnut semifreddo! We will have to come back to try other dishes. The service is attentive and caring.

How they create such fabulous food in such a small place is utterly amazing, but truly wonderful.
It was so good we had dinner two nights running, we were only in Rome three nights 😂👌
We’ll definitely be visiting there again, that’s for sure. We were lucky to get a table as it’s super popular with Italians and lucky tourists that happen by!!

10/12/2025: If you haven't eaten at this restaurant yet, you're definitely missing out on the most unique and extraordinary place to eat just steps from the Vatican. The food is freshly prepared, the service is top-notch, and they always make you feel welcome. Every time we're in Rome, we make sure to stop here for a meal. A toast to our favorite waiter Diego and chef Leonardo!
