26/10/2025: I went there 4 years ago when I first moved to Roma and I didn’t know a single person in the city. The first 2 people I met were Nicoletta and Stefa. Little did I know that every single person that went to Mate bar would become literally my family. They took me in as a brother and I am forever grateful for the friendships that I have made throughout years ALL because of this damn bar. If I could give this place 1000 stars I would. I love this bar and the family that took me in years ago.

28/11/2025: In a casual yet welcoming setting, we enjoyed one of the best dinners of 2025. Taking advantage of the November promotion with 50% off Fridays, we sampled, recommended by the fantastic Ciprian, US Black Angus Ribeye, American Wagyu sirloin, and the famous Japanese Wagyu. The price, with the promotion, is definitely affordable. I recommend not overdoing the appetizers, so as not to ruin your appetite. We only ordered the artichoke alla Giudea, which was cooked to perfection. Along with the meat, we also had sautéed broccoli and chopped puntarelle. We'll be back to try the pizza, which looked excellent, and the pan-fried pasta!

13/06/2025: Consigliatoci da amici romani, abbiamo deciso di prenotare su stasera un tavolo per una cena con bambini. Ambiente informale, ma personale molto gentile e alla mano. Proposte di menù interessanti. Antipasti davvero ottimi e primi da leccarsi i baffi... o fare la scarpetta col pane, come ha fatto mio figlio! 😅 Prezzi onestissimi. Se fate un salto ad Ariccia, fermatevi qui, non ve ne pentirete!

07/09/2025: A place I always love to return to I often come to Paola Savo's Bar Tabacchi, and every time it's a pleasant confirmation. The place is welcoming, clean, and well-organized. The coffee is truly good, and the croissants are always fresh, perfect for a delicious start to the day. What strikes me most is the kindness of the staff: always smiling and helpful, they make you feel at home. It's rare to find such attention to customers. If you're passing through Frosinone and want a quick breakfast or snack, I recommend it without hesitation!

23/08/2025: A spacious and welcoming restaurant with indoor and outdoor tables (perfect in summer). The menu includes pizzas, as well as traditional Ciociaria dishes like "fini fini" (a type of pizza) and now-rare dishes like tripe with tomato sauce and mutton with tomato sauce (a favorite among us). Fast service and fair prices.

29/06/2025: I had a lovely evening, good pizzas, well cooked, well seasoned and digestible, i.e. without the bloating effect, the grillo and amatriciana were really good, fast and courteous service, well-kept premises, clean facilities.

03/07/2025: Fantastic evening….I just left the Firriato tasting and I have to say that the guys were really good…the pairings were spot on….and the guys at Firriato were very nice in entertaining us between courses. We will be back

02/07/2025: Un’esperienza di mare indimenticabile! Sono stato in questo ristorante per una cena speciale e posso dire senza esitazioni che è stato tutto perfetto. Il pesce è freschissimo, cucinato con maestria e presentato con grande cura. Abbiamo iniziato con un antipasto di crudi semplicemente eccellente: ostriche, tartare e gamberi che si scioglievano in bocca. Come primo abbiamo scelto i paccheri allo scoglio — saporiti, abbondanti e con un profumo di mare autentico. Il secondo, una grigliata mista di pesce, era cotto alla perfezione, accompagnato da verdure fresche e ben condite. Servizio impeccabile: personale cortese, attento e molto preparato nel consigliare abbinamenti e vini. Consigliatissimo per chi cerca qualità, atmosfera e sapori autentici del mare. Torneremo sicuramente!

23/06/2025: Surrounded by greenery, well-kept and welcoming, but above all excellent gastronomic choice: simple and home-made cuisine, good raw materials; exceptional oil, dry and crispy fried foods. There is a fixed menu that I believe varies every week, with three choices for first course and three for second course and a super abundant and tasty appetizer.. I don't like fixed menus, but here there is originality and wisdom, among the first courses there is a good choice and not the usual carbonara or amatriciana. We will definitely return

11/11/2025: We ate tiramisu and it was around 5 euros. When we asked if there was anything wrong with it, we were told there was nothing. We ate it trustingly. It tasted good. It is delicious and edible on the Vatican side.

19/11/2025: A very refined and welcoming atmosphere. We chose the new formula, which offers a truly extensive menu with excellent quality options in an all-you-can-eat format. Many delicious appetizers (similar to tapas): beef, quality fish (including raw), and very creative vegetarian options. Good service, the staff are super friendly. Excellent wine. The owner is always attentive to both the kitchen and the dining room. The atmosphere is warm and sophisticated. A great place to return to try everything on the menu.

The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming, perfect for both a romantic evening and a get-together with friends. The staff is extremely courteous and attentive, always ready to recommend dishes and pairings. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

05/10/2025: Well, first of all, the word lounge isn't appropriate because they don't have a cocktail list. At most, they'll make you a gin and tonic, and traveling 50 km for dinner with a cocktail, I find that misleading. We waited 45 minutes for a tartare and a poached egg, a bit too long, and my first course and my partner's second course were equally slow when the place was half empty, really too long. Good ingredients. High prices, among other things, they mention grated truffle, and on both dishes (Angus tapas and fusilloni) a minimal amount of truffle (summery in my opinion), a maximum of a couple of grams per plate, where the minimum should be 4 to 7 grams, although I've happened to other places where I didn't see the pasta despite how much truffle there was, and it was the prized black one... and this one wasn't. The atmosphere is nice, but being out of the way, they can't demand such prices. Two good-quality appetizers, a fusilli pasta and Angus beef tapas, and a bottle of wine (€40). I can't afford to pay €140 per person, with all due respect. I didn't pay for the liqueurs because they were offered, pointing out that it's slightly inappropriate to associate them with a lounge. They were, however, very friendly and kind.

14/11/2025: Found the place closed even though it said it was open all week. A wasted trip and a waste of time. Permanently erased from my memory. It's a shame because I'd heard good things about it. Others have had the same problem. Advice: CHANGE THE DAYS AND HOURS OF OPENING ON GOOGLE

I dined in the on-site restaurant and was pleased: limited selection, but well-cooked dishes and prompt service. Overall, a functional hotel, suitable for short business stays.
