28/09/2025: We went to Frascati, strolling through the streets filled with restaurants, osterias, and trattorias. There were so many beautiful and inviting places, but a name, a logo—I'm not sure what—drew us to Da Massimo. It wasn't right in the center; we had to go down a side street... and finally we found ourselves in front of this simple, almost familiar-looking place. As soon as we entered, it truly felt like my grandmother's house: a welcoming atmosphere, with Massimo—a kind, white-haired man—who takes great care of his guests. Always ready to ask, "Do you need anything else?" We asked for a first course, and he offered us his fettuccine with meat sauce: "Are there two of you? I'll make you a generous portion." First, he brought us white wine and simple bruschetta with extra virgin olive oil... all homemade, fresh, and authentic. Then came the pasta: delicious, flavorful, and so generous it seemed made for three! Not content with that, Massimo also brought us some delicious small eggplants with bread, and at the end he offered us eggs from his chickens and a homemade grappa. It was an experience that went beyond good food: a return to a warmth and hospitality that is increasingly rare today. If you want to experience something authentic and feel part of a story that will stay with you, I wholeheartedly recommend Da Massimo. Give him a shout-out from me!

28/09/2025: What truly stood out to me was the feeling Massimo created. It didn’t feel like going to a restaurant, but rather like visiting a grandfather’s home—where he generously shares whatever he has and insists on feeding you until you’re happily full. The whole experience was more about being a guest than a customer. The pasta was delicious, freshly made that very morning. Then he surprised us with fried eggplant and grapes, all served with such kindness and warmth. I believe we should value more of these local, family-style places. They may not fit into the modern category of “fancy” restaurants, but they shine with generosity, hospitality, and truly tasty food.

25/08/2025: Yesterday we went to Bracciano, there were five of us, my mother and my brothers, we didn't know where to eat, we found ourselves in front of the restaurant pizzeria l'Archetto so we went in, I must say, a quiet, clean place, very good pizza, supli made by them, wonderful and thin and crunchy pizza, 10 and praise

26/04/2025: Sono stata in questo locale con delle amiche e siamo rimaste soddisfattissime del servizio e dei piatti che abbiamo mangiato. Dai primi al dolce, tutto di qualità e veramente buono al gusto; il tutto accompagnato dalla disponibilità e gentilezza del personale del locale e del proprietario. 5 stelle anche alla professionalità. Consigliatissimo, ci torneremo sicuramente.

14/08/2025: I can’t say enough good about this restaurant! Fantastic service, fantastic food, and they have whiskey! They are only a two stop ride on the bus from the Colosseum, and it’s great to get out of the hustle and bustle, and enjoy a fine meal after a long day.

23/09/2025: The overwhelming menu is a cause for concern, and in fact...the dog at home earned a nice steak, and I got a nasty stomachache. I wouldn't go back.

21/09/2025: The pizza is good. The wine by the pitcher is horrible. The langoustine risotto is bland. The pasta is bland. Next to a very busy and noisy street. The server brings the dishes out of order. Avoid.

18/04/2025: Discovered while passing through during the night stop in the camper area of ​​San Sosio, excellent pizza with a good dough served directly in a hot pan freshly taken out of the oven. Good seasoning products. Good prices 25 euros 2 pizzas, water and bitters. friendly and courteous service. If we are back in the area we will stop again!!!

Courtesy and professionalism put the customer at ease, providing that family atmosphere that allows you to enjoy the exquisite dishes they offer in peace.

16/09/2025: We were here early in the morning, when there was practically no one on the street. We took the usual set - coffee and croissant. The service is excellent, the taste is wonderful, and what really surprised us was the price, this is one of the cheapest cafe bars in Gallarat.

A very pleasant place, with a clean and well-kept environment. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, perfect for spending some time with friends or alone. The staff is very kind and welcoming. The service was fast and precise. I'll gladly return 😊

13/09/2025: It was a short one-night stay. We spent two days immersed in the silence of the surrounding nature. A perfect place for those who aren't too eager to experience anything (such as an educational farm or activities offered on site), but are looking for relaxation and tranquility. The facility itself is very well-kept, as are the pool and rooms. It's a riding stable with about 20 horses. They actually offer horseback riding. There's the option of visiting a nearby river, but we didn't go because the path was too muddy and slippery, a mistake we made as we didn't have suitable footwear. The areas around the pool and the rooms are a bit "abandoned," perhaps because it's late in the season or because it's still under construction. Having traveled with a child, we hoped to find more animals. But aside from the horses, there were cats and chickens roaming around outside, and two rheas locked in an enclosure that I thought was too small. The children's area was also full of foliage and some debris. The staff was very kind and helpful. I'm satisfied, but I still expected something more. If I ever come back, I'll stop by, but I wouldn't leave Rome again just to go there. The restaurant is excellent, even if the prices aren't exactly like those of agritourism. But it was definitely worth it.

20/09/2025: Everything’s tasted incredible the entries and the pasta was so good, great sauces and wine as well, server was kind enough to recommend some amaros after our meal and the dessert tasted great as well, would improve the seats outside, other than that we had a wonderful experience

23/09/2025: Maybe they're friendlier with the locals, but they just can't handle tourists! I immediately realized the situation when we arrived at the restaurant, barely greeting us, almost reluctantly, and throughout the evening they maintained an attitude as if they were doing us a favor, no matter what we asked for. This left me shocked, given that I've found such friendliness everywhere I've been in Umbria. We opened the menu and saw several asterisks, including those about porcini mushrooms. We asked if they were frozen, and the answer was, "Fresh ones were €38 a kilo, so see if I could get them." So, we let it go. I asked for pumpkin gnocchi, eyes widening because the waiter said it wasn't the right time (late September, and I'd seen millions of pumpkins in the local supermarkets in the previous few days). Pumpkin gnocchi weren't available, and umbrichelli with zucchini were obviously not, again due to the season. By the way, if you don't have the ingredients to make many of the dishes on the menu, perhaps you should update the menu daily based on ingredient availability. In the end, I almost necessarily opted for the amatriciana, which they didn't quite believe in, given the complete absence of guanciale and pecorino. The fettuccine with hare was decent. Furthermore, they brought us mulled wine; we asked for ice, they forgot to bring it, we asked for it, they brought four ice cubes, we asked for more, and they never brought it. If you want honest advice, go eat elsewhere; Umbria is full of kindness and good food.

20/07/2025: They got my pizza wrong, bringing me the one with sausage and fries, which is usually eaten by children, instead of a simple red pizza with ham. It wasn't easy to get it wrong. They kindly remade it for me. I waited the necessary time, and a pizza with ham arrives, but white instead of red. Naturally, I ate it without saying anything. The pizza was huge and of poor quality. Two pizzas, plus a fried dish for two, a pitcher of beer, and a amaro, €47. A bit too much.

23/08/2025: I stayed with a couple of friends from August 14 to 19, 2025. The food was fabulous and plentiful. The young staff were smart but still immature. The older ones need to be reviewed. The single room was very small and without a TV. Considering that it rained three out of five times, in short, the place is worth seeing. There is little but it is beautiful.

20/08/2025: I waited a few days before expressing my thoughts, to avoid posting a fiery review. That's not my intention; I'd like my review to be constructive! Lescuso is surrounded by greenery, where I really appreciated the view and the clean air. The staff is friendly, I saw inviting-looking dishes, especially the cannelloni. My relatives enjoyed several different first and second courses, which were very satisfying, and we toasted with good wine. The "problem" is that I'm vegan, and unfortunately I didn't have a choice. I can still say I enjoyed the grilled vegetables and baked potatoes, the only things I ate, and that's unacceptable in 2025! There are dishes in traditional Lazio cuisine that are already vegan—certainly not many, but they exist! Then, if you have the desire and imagination, you can create plant-based dishes so that even a vegan like me can leave the table feeling more satisfied!
