10/08/2025: The dishes were well-served and very good. I recommend the scampi cream risotto and the first course. The only drawback is that they're for a minimum of two people, which precludes the option of ordering more entrees to sample. The staff is friendly and helpful.

09/08/2025: I ate here for the first time because it was recommended, but we weren't satisfied. The service was lacking. We ordered cold and hot appetizers, and a mussel sauté, but we didn't get a sauté (because one was included with the appetizers). They brought it to us later, and I asked for more bread, which never arrived. The mussels were tasteless, though, which I'm sorry about. The first courses... came with two seafood risottos, but we'd only ordered one. However, they brought us the rest of the first courses right away, and I can also say that the two half portions of scampi cream risotto were quite generous, almost like a single portion. All the first courses were really good, I recommend it for the first courses. The second courses were all good, and the fruit was good. The desserts were good. They offered us liqueurs, which is another plus. I'm sorry I can't give it 5 stars, but the mussels were truly disappointing, and the service could be improved, but everyone was kind and courteous. Anyway, I don't recommend against it, maybe I recommend first and second courses rather than appetizers and be careful if they want everything.

17/07/2025: Ich war für 2 Monate von Mai bis Juli 2025 in Rom und habe in dieser Zeit im Stadtteil Portuense gewohnt. Das La Ruota ist für mich und meine Freundin schon so eine Art Stammlokal geworden, in welchem wir uns von Anfang an sehr gut aufgenommen und wohl gefühlt haben. Es gibt einen großen Innenbereich und einen - für römische Verhältnisse - gut gelegenen Außenbereich, der zum Gehweg abgegrenzt ist. Das Personal und der Inhaber sind sehr angenehme und zuvorkommende Menschen, das Essen ist gut, ebenso der Hauswein und die Preise sind absolut in Ordnung. Besucht wird das Lokal vor allem von Einheimischen aus der Umgegend, dabei auch viele Familien. Das bedingt natürlich auch, das nicht selten spielende Kinder drinnen oder im Außenbereich hin und her rennen, das ist hier so.

15/08/2025: Truly a wonderful experience! Not only for the courtesy and attentiveness of the staff, but also for the love you can feel from the dining room to the kitchen. Every dish is carefully prepared and made with love, the quality of the ingredients is undisputed, and the wine list is excellent. The bill wasn't cheap, but it was in line with the delicacies we tasted. Anything with shrimp is highly recommended! And the first one named after the restaurant. We paired our dishes with a minerally and delicious Etna rosé. Definitely go there! These guys deserve to grow and expand, and they deserve a better location!

14/08/2025: I went on the evening of August 5th, the place is special, you can sit both inside and outside, quiet elegant atmosphere, very good food, the service is excellent, very helpful and discreet.

18/04/2025: Pasticceria storica del quartiere ma che nasce a Via Boccea. La titolare carismatica classe '40 incanta con i suoi racconti di vita da antica pasticcera. Tradizione, qualità e ottimi prezzi fanno di questa pasticceria una bella realtà per il Nuovo Salario. La torta della casa merita. Assolutamente consigliato!!!!! ☺️👏👏

24/06/2025: Excellent quality meat, no doubt. Too bad for the total lack of transparency on the weight. They made me pay for a steak for 500g when it would have been 200/300g at most. The worst thing? They denied my request to see the weighing. Unacceptable. They lost a customer who had been coming for years.

06/06/2025: Rude and distracted staff: we order two beers that are never served. They practically use the public benches in front as if they were private. Unprofessional. There are definitely better places in the area, and I say this as a resident.

28/07/2025: I thought it would be better....😩 It's a bit dated as a restaurant, not very well-maintained, even the gazebo is covered in dust. Ample parking is fine, but dining with the music from the restaurant next door blasting isn't the best. The fish appetizer, so to speak, was the only fish there was marinated salmon and a bit of seafood salad, then couscous with a frozen shrimp, and Russian salad, which I don't understand what Russian salad has to do with a seafood dish. Bhaaaa Plus a fried squid ring and a fried surimi that I can easily buy at the discount store down the street!!! There should be a bit more variety in the fish and inventiveness in this appetizer!!! The mussel sauté was hot but tasteless. The grilled fish was the only positive note. We definitely won't be returning; it didn't leave me with anything good.

20/07/2025: Excellent dishes, the roast suckling pig is highly recommended. Update, today to my great amazement I found short pajata sleeves, an indispensable temptation for a true Roman, spectacular!

01/08/2025: It's nice! For those who prefer a more spacious and quiet place. A place more for "locals" invisible to many who stop at the Singita just before.

24/07/2025: Very nice place right next to the beach (free/equipped), with the option of using their umbrellas and loungers at very reasonable prices or using your own... The bar and kitchen are well-stocked. We had lunch there, featuring fried calamari and shrimp and spaghetti with clams, and we had a great time.
