Gina è una cuoca di altri tempi, attenta ai sapori e realizza i suoi piatti con amore che si trasmette in ogni boccone; sembra di tornare bambini ai tempi in cui mamme e nonne si riunivano per cucinare nei giorni di festa. Roby in sala è un personaggio, apparentemente burbero, ma in realtà con un cuore d'oro. Difende le tradizioni, e seleziona la clientela con un " radar" naturale"... O gli piaci o nemmeno ti accomodi nel locale... nemmeno se è vuoto. Ma se incontrate la Sua empatia, vi sentirete trattati come persone di famiglia ed andrete via con un bel ricordo.... Short and decisive menu, we ate a raw appetizer, pink prawn tartare, a hand-pulled tagliolini and fried food. Everything fresh and expertly cooked. Specifically frying with kataifi breading and corn, uncommon to find in Italy, and homemade mayonnaise. I highly recommend.

31/03/2024: An excellent tavern in the hills of Trieste. We booked for Easter dinner. Four of us spent 120 euros for a mixed seafood starter to share (excellent, tasty), a plate of drumsticks with courgettes and prawn tails, a ravioli stuffed with sea bass, a pie with asparagus (wild), a mixed grill of sea, two side dishes, three desserts (two chocolate panna cottas and a strudel-style apple pie, very good), half a liter of house prosecco, two bottles of natural water and three grappas (one of which with basil, not too good , but it's a matter of personal taste). The staff appears grumpy but is friendly. You can pay with the pos.

Not really cheap in the absolute sense, but high quality/price ratio, and certainly solves an impromptu lunch or dinner, with style. Both intake and consumption at the table are possible. I would say recommended!
