25/03/2026: For 3 years at least 2/3 times a month I stopped for lunch at Al Cjariesar and I must say that there was not a single time that I could complain. The service was quick and competent, the dishes were always excellently prepared and varied. Highly recommended.

10/05/2026: I happened to be there, one of the few places with a later closing time. I was practically the only one in the place. A very kind young woman served me. The dishes were exquisite.

26/03/2026: Very friendly staff, no complaints. The cover charge was a bit steep: €2.50 for a paper placemat? The vegan pizza in the photo was €16? When the menu said €13, but I only realized that at home. What about something special or expensive on top? Boiled broccoli, tasteless squash, terrible mozzarella... The fries, for goodness' sake... On a positive note, the dough was good, it rose well, and didn't leave me feeling bloated. Okay, it's a downtown place, but...I don't think I'll be back, and unfortunately, I won't recommend it.

26/01/2026: Our favorite café in Trieste. We always go there with our dog and there are no problems. They never burn the coffee and it's always delicious. Valeria is always very friendly, as are all the staff, and she always gives our dog a little biscuit.

07/06/2026: We went to MEM early enough to avoid the rush hour and were served very quickly. We ordered our food, and the portions were generous, with an excellent quality-to-quantity ratio. The place itself is one of the most striking features: aesthetically unique, with attention to detail, and unlike many other similar places. Everything was clean and well-kept, from the tables to the common areas. The owners were friendly and helpful, allowing us to store a dessert in the refrigerator (provided we presented the receipt from the pastry shop, as requested). Overall, a well-kept, original, and well-organized place, where I would gladly return.

07/06/2026: We booked a dinner with friends a few days ago. We asked about gluten-free options over the phone and via text, and were told there would be special options. When we arrived, the person with celiac disease immediately communicated her intolerance, and the waitress seemed unclear. Eventually, she told us there were two gluten-free options: a hamburger and a sliced ​​steak. We looked at the menu and saw that all the side dishes were included in the same two dishes. The celiac woman, however, asked about the fries, only to discover they contained gluten. So, the "celiac" version simply didn't have fries. We were disappointed because we had assumed we had more reliable options after the information we'd received over the phone. I know it can be difficult to prepare safe, gluten-free dishes, but you have an advantage because you have so many meat options. So, if you add gluten-free fries and a small fryer, you can instantly create a delicious dish (e.g., a hamburger) that will make everyone happy. When you receive a reservation from a celiac, please make sure you know which table, who, etc., they're at. Don't be caught off guard. As always, the food is high-quality and very good! This isn't a criticism, just a few constructive suggestions. Thanks for the evening.
