03/07/2025: I'm just sorry I was late in getting to know this historic place.... Vast wine list to taste or buy, reasonable prices for the high quality that comes to the table. Above all, great knowledge of Andrea's products, essential to be guided in the wide choice. I hope to return soon and often!

12/05/2025: I don't like putting negative reviews but this time I failed. Maybe I had too high expectations... ♦️Service: We waited 1 HOUR AND A HALF for the appetizer and then another 40 minutes for two second courses, among other things one raw and one only to be sliced...... Friendly but hasty waiter, not even an explanation for dishes and wine. ♦️Food: Let's start with the wine, in my life I have never seen such poor wine served by the glass! We thought the first glass was an oversight by the waiter who in his rush had put too little but when the second glass arrived with the same amount of wine we understood that their dose is that... Having said that, the wine served was little, but very good. Lard croutons which were basically cold dry bread and the lard too thick and hard. Raw shoulder and warm focaccia are good. Raw Fassona meat with a lot of salt and pepper and a drop of mustard.... Fassona carpaccio completely COOKED!! ♦️Environment Very cute but too dark. ⛔Sorry... We love tasting wine but we won't be returning here. I hope for them it was simply a bad evening...

04/07/2025: Assuming that the food is good quality (otherwise I would have given one star), I think the bill of €120 for 4 is a bit high with: - cold cuts and fried gnocco to share (normal portions) - 4 first courses ("caramelle" butter and sage with mushroom sauce - normal portions) - 3 desserts - 2 coffees - a quarter of red wine and 2 bottles of water It should be a trattoria... Clearly no prices displayed or announced verbally.

20/04/2025: Siamo arrivati e subito, abbiamo ammirato il panorama... "stupendo". Le colline piacentine, nonostante il tempo non fosse dei migliori, regalano sempre un bellissimo spettacolo. Siamo stati accolti, con gentilezza dalla proprietaria. Ci è sembrato di entrare letteralmente in casa sua. Una persona, veramente squisita, che con il suo staff, coccola il cliente. Abbiamo avuto il piacere, di gustare un menù a dir poco ottimo, in qualità e quantità. L'antipasto composto da gnocco fritto, culatello e burrata. Tortelli piacentini, con burro e salvia e sughetto ai funghi. Tagliatelle al sugo d'anatra. Roast beef con patate di contorno. In ultimo, macedonia di fragole con una fogliolina di mentuccia e dolce pasquale che consisteva in una fetta di colomba, su crema al mascarpone. Che dire, veramente una bella Pasqua, inaspettata. Grazie di cuore a tutto lo staff, in special modo alla proprietaria, per averci coccolato e fatto sentire come a casa. La gentilezza e l'attenzione ai dettagli, hanno reso questa giornata davvero speciale. Sicuramente ritorneremo!!!

14/06/2025: We entered this bar with the only hope of finding an available bathroom, being tourists who had been around for hours. Unfortunately, we were told that the bathroom was unusable due to a breakdown. The environment was anything but welcoming: the dirty floor, with obvious signs of poor cleaning, and a dog that roamed freely in the place without any control. Another absurd thing was finding, in June, the Christmas decorations still hanging: dusty Christmas stars that gave a shabby look to the whole place.

25/07/2025: Food was of really good quality, the view is beautiful. It’s like going to eat at one’s home, quietly and with calm. If you’re looking for a slow food authentic place this is the one.

21/07/2025: Typical Ligurian dishes, simple in presentation but good, simple cuisine. The atmosphere is decidedly fairytale, but certainly not during mealtimes, when the hustle and bustle of the town's marina prevents either a sea view or a peaceful conversation between diners. Table service is highly questionable. Having to call a waiter after a 15-minute wait (the room is still empty at the start of the evening) for a menu is certainly not a good start. The young waiter in charge of wine selection is decidedly unprepared. When ordering a 1.5-kilogram sea bream, it's good manners to bring it to the table, having it inspected before cooking, and then having it inspected again after cooking, asking if you'd like it cleaned or cleaned yourself. We had it directly from the kitchen, already cleaned in a sperlunga. The bottle of spicy oil, along with the powdered oil used to season the first courses, remained on the table until coffee. The price is reasonable.

21/07/2025: A Standout Dining Experience in Cinque Terre – Gianni Franzi Is the Real Deal Despite reading some mixed reviews online, we decided to make a reservation at Gianni Franzi in Vernazza—and we are so glad we did. The owner of our hotel in Corniglia personally recommended it, saying he eats there often himself. Some of the staff, in fact, had previously worked at his own restaurant and were clearly well-trained in both service and hospitality. We’re a family of four (two adults, two kids), and this turned out to be one of the best meals of our entire stay in Cinque Terre. To start, our son ordered the mussels, which came in a huge portion—so large, in fact, that he couldn’t finish them (and he's a big eater!). They were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, and we all ended up sneaking a few. My wife and I shared the Antipasto della Casa, which was a beautiful assortment of seafood and local sardines prepared several different ways. The variety and quality were impressive—every bite offered something new and delicious. For our mains, we ordered a few different seafood pasta dishes, and each one was better than the last. You could truly taste the freshness of the ingredients and the care that went into each preparation. The local flavors were on full display. To top it all off, we shared a tiramisu for dessert that was absolutely off the charts good—creamy, light, and the perfect end to an amazing meal. What really elevated the entire experience, though, was the service. Our waiter, Baki, was exceptional—professional, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food. He took the time to explain the local dishes, offered great recommendations, and even helped us pair our meal with the perfect wine. (And notably, he recommended a wine that was not the most expensive on the list—something we really appreciated.) Over the course of our trip, we ate in various towns—Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, and Manarola—and while we had some good meals, Gianni Franzi was the only restaurant that truly stood out and deserved a glowing review. If you're in Vernazza and want a meal that showcases the best of Ligurian seafood, served with care and attention, don’t hesitate to book a table here. It was a highlight of our trip, and we would absolutely return.

13/07/2025: It's a shame we couldn't eat inside, given the quaint atmosphere. However, they let us sit outside in the large garden under the umbrellas. The prices were slightly lower than the average for restaurants in this village, but the portions were also quite small. But the quality of the products was excellent. The service was courteous and fast. True, there weren't many tables, but we had a good time.

29/01/2025: Not satisfactory. We ate in the cold, but the risotto was bland and the pisarai tasted bitter. It tasted like frozen Buitoni, especially since the portions were identical. The waitress was very kind and attentive, but that's not enough. I'm sorry, but we won't be back.

Today, my family, including two children, were attacked by a woman with an Eastern accent, presumably the owner, with pepper spray, causing burns to my face, eyes, and limbs. We were stopped on the main road, and this person first insulted us and then attacked us, yelling that the photo is private property! We had to run to the police station to file a complaint!
