11/05/2026: Convenient location right near main center/plaza. Friend and I split a pasta dish, anchovies and a 375 ml bottle of wine for lunch. Would visit again

05/05/2026: Do not rely on the hours posted or even A phone call to make dinner reservations and/or check status. We were assured they would be open when we called at 9:15PM, returning to our apartment that was was immediately adjacent for a week. Upon our arrival at the business, the front desk woman dismissed us, and refused to seat us at 9:37 PM because “the kitchen is closed.” After 3 hours of train rides and counting on it because of phone verification in Italian, it was disappointing to say the least. Photos attached of the establishment clearly still occupied. We avoided this location for the rest of the week because of a simple rude response, but I hope others may have a better experience. There are no shortage of other fine options.

06/06/2026: We ordered a macchiato, a cappuccino, and a croissant. The coffee arrived normal, the cappuccino cold, and two croissants, not one. We pointed this out, and the waitress came back with the correct order. The prices were decidedly high for the quality of the service and products. Not even in the center of Milan are the prices this high, and there's no menu, and the receipt is generic and undetailed. We won't be returning.

10/05/2026: Good pastry shop but be careful something doesn't add up... We went two days in a row first day at the counter 4 pastries 2 coffees 8.80 when I got to pay I took a bottle of water 1 euro more, the next day we sit at the table (obviously I know that table service is paid) but I order 2 coffees 5 pastries the bill arrives without details only the total 19 euros🤦‍♀️ ok go ahead I get to the cashier this time I take 2 bottles of water and I am asked 3 euros in 24h increased by 0.5 cents each so keep an eye on the bill

16/04/2026: At Ivan's, I can't figure out what the dissatisfied people ate, I say this for what little my opinion is worth. Whenever I'm in the Vezzolacca area, I try to go there. Tomorrow, since I'm nearby, I'll stop by again to see if my opinion changes.

04/03/2026: We were there a few weeks ago. The only good thing we ate was the appetizers. Everything else was terrible. The pasta all'amatriciana was just a plate of overcooked bucatini with a whole jar of tomato sauce, maybe a small piece of guanciale, and the tagliata was a whole, uncut steak, thrown on the plate with all the fat around it; it just tasted burnt. The potatoes, let alone those, were probably cooked the day before or old, as they were black. The famous Bortellina was a ball of boiling oil... We definitely won't be back.

06/04/2026: Friendly and helpful people. We stopped with our camper in a nearby square and on Easter evening we ate two excellent slices of pizza and the next day we had breakfast with a truly delicious croissant. I recommend a stop.

01/05/2026: A truly disappointing experience. I expected authentic Italian cuisine, but instead I was treated to dishes that seemed to have come straight from the freezer. The lasagna was clearly frozen, flavorless, and unappealing in texture. The pasta was completely overcooked, light years away from any acceptable standard. The so-called "mixed cheese platter" was perhaps the biggest disappointment: on paper, it was supposed to offer variety, but in reality, it consisted almost entirely of gorgonzola, with very little of the other cheeses. The result: a dull, heavy, and completely unbalanced platter. The service also left much to be desired: slow, inattentive, and unfriendly. To make matters worse, when it came time to pay, I was presented with an incorrect bill, which was only corrected after I pointed it out. The prices were completely unjustified by the overall quality. I wouldn't recommend it, and I definitely won't be returning.

15/04/2026: First course of malfatti pasta with a wonderful mushroom sauce, thin, light fried gnocco, and exquisite pisarei with tomato and mushrooms.

30/12/2025: I would recommend updating the website. I should point out that the day we dined at this restaurant was a Monday, and around here, almost all restaurants are closed on Mondays, but ours was a special occasion, and our search led us to Croce Bianca. The restaurant is very beautiful, rustic, with elegant touches blended into an atmosphere that makes it very welcoming and evocative. I consider the special nature of the day, but I find a cold environment completely unwelcoming. We were welcomed and confined to a small room with other guests, heated by a small heat pump and an electric heater. Fortunately, it had a door that kept the heat inside, but it certainly wasn't much help for those arriving with dishes from the kitchen. As I mentioned at the beginning, it would be best to update the website, as we had intended to try some pizzas, which we didn't find. Instead, we were told they hadn't made them for about two years, obviously to everyone's surprise. Despite all this, we decided to stay, obviously looking for alternatives in the 0 zone😱, and repeating myself... considering Monday is a very special day, we decided to order à la carte. Even though we had called ahead when booking, unfortunately, the "gluten-free" option was limited to just one dish: tortellini. This seemed a bit rude and insensitive to those who were forced to do so, but unfortunately, they weren't the only ones today. Other dishes were also unavailable, but I assume for the same reason as the day before. The food was overall good but not special, and the portions were just right. The service, I would say, was attentive but very discreet; they nevertheless tried to make us feel comfortable and accommodated our every need.

14/11/2025: Excellent experience, delicious food, attention to detail, welcoming, clean, and refined atmosphere. Definitely worth a try.

10/01/2026: A quick coffee at the counter for work. The counter isn't particularly wide, and half of it was taken up by a medium-sized poodle, obviously held by the guy on a loose leash. The dog came to sniff shoes, legs, and "private parts" without the owner apologizing and without the barista noticing. 1 star because a dog SHOULD NOT be at the counter where people CONSUME and PAY. But is it really necessary to be vigilant about these dogs being harassed by uncivilized owners? And why don't they just leave them alone? It's the management's job to ensure customers aren't disturbed by dogs! And on top of that, he kept shaking himself, shedding hair and dandruff. Near the tables, at drink level. DISGUSTING!!

14/06/2026: Aside from the fact that it's well known that service stations charge exorbitant prices for mediocre drinks, I find the policy of charging 50 cents more for staining your coffee with a ridiculous amount of milk... or rather, foam, absurd.

08/06/2026: I'm giving one star because it's impossible to give less. The worst food and parking experience on the highway. DISGRACEFUL service, POOR FOOD, POOR CLEANLINESS, the bathrooms were dirty. Six employees, only one working, the food was poor, literally disgusting, and incredibly expensive. I wasn't familiar with this chain, but it's definitely worth avoiding. It's better not to eat there. They might close tomorrow and no one will remember them. Absolutely not recommended. 🤑

17/04/2026: McDonald's is located near Piacenza station. Check your order; they often make a mess. In my opinion, the place needs a more thorough cleaning. The floors are a bit run down. Otherwise, it's a classic McDonald's.

02/06/2026: The owner was very rude. She kicked us out of the shop, saying she had to close, despite a rainstorm, after we'd consumed four coffees while she was still inside. Totally lacking empathy!!

07/05/2026: Very interesting place. I'd been there before, and it piqued my interest. I returned alone for an aperitif. The bartender (owner?) was very friendly and knowledgeable. The aperitif was well-made, but the most appealing thing was the buffet. For just €9, you can drink and serve yourself as much as you want from the buffet. The food was very varied and rich; I obviously didn't try everything, but what I did taste was good. I ate outside, at various tables with high and low seating, offering a wide variety of options. The interior is decorated a bit like an old pub (you could say Old English) with very nice furnishings. Service was provided by a single waitress. She was professional and empathetic. I exchanged a few words, even about culture, which was clear that it's not her primary job. She was also nice (if I may say so without being disrespectful). Final verdict: very positive, definitely worth a visit. P.S. It's also a restaurant, but I don't know what to say. Until next time.
