03/05/2025: while traveling to Piacenza we came across this bar a stone's throw from the central square of Piacenza. There is a nice space to sit outside, where you can enjoy an excellent coffee! very friendly service.

27/07/2025: Abbiamo prenotato il mercoledi per il sabato sera alle 8, appena seduti abbiamo atteso circa 20 minuti prima che ci portassero i menù, in quanto esauriti, dopo aver sollecitato il bere ( la serata era insolitamente fresca per fortuna) la cameriera si presenta con soli 2 menù che abbiamo fatto girare per il tavolo. Scelte le pizze facciamo l'ordinazione, dopo 5 minuti la cameriera torna dicendo che i tempi d'attesa sarebbero stati di un'ora! Presi dallo sconforto cerchiamo su Internet un'altra pizzeria a Travo, ma l'unica era quella in piscina e purtroppo senza posti disponibili. Rassegnati attendiamo le pizze che sono arrivate alle 9:45. Pizze sbagliate per lo più e la mia anche mezza bruciata. Da sottolineare la maleducazione di una delle due cameriere più giovani totalmente inadatta al rapporto con il pubblico! Detto ciò pizzeria fortemente sconsigliata non tanto per la pizza quanto più per l'incapacità di gestire un locale storico nel centro di uno dei più bei paesi della val trebbia!

25/04/2025: Location antica, personale cordiale e piatti tipici piacentini con portate soddisfacenti e buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. Abbiamo trascorso un piacevole 25 aprile affacciati sulla bella piazzetta del borgo di Grazzano Visconti. Ci torneremo.

18/04/2025: Non siamo rimasti soddisfatti del rapporto prezzo / qualità del locale. In sintesi, qualità sufficiente, quantità scarse, prezzo in proporzione elevato. Si prova mascherare il tutto dando al locale un falso aspetto medievaleggiante, magari ad altri basta.

19/06/2025: Very friendly staff made me feel at ease. Excellent cuisine in the presentation of the dish and the right cooking, sublime flavors for those who have an excellent palate like mine. I recommend it to anyone who wants to have lunch or dinner in a quiet environment and taste the excellent dishes described in the menu. I will return

20/04/2025: Ho gustato piatti di pesce ben eseguiti, con materie prime di qualità e una mano in cucina capace di valorizzarle senza sovrastarle. Nessuna forzatura, solo il piacere di una cucina onesta e gustosa, che rispetta il prodotto e conquista al palato. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è decisamente buono, cosa non scontata quando si parla di pesce, e rende questo ristorante una scelta da tenere in considerazione per una cena informale ma di livello.

20/07/2025: I was recommended the rooster here, and honestly, it's the only decent thing. The charcuterie and cheese platter is unworthy of a city like Piacenza, with little pieces of fried gnocco that crumble like crackers. The service was also terrible; they put us in the small room on the left and completely ignored us. I had to get up for everything; even when I was eating, I had to get up to get a beer, otherwise I'd have had time to finish my food and the beer hadn't arrived yet. The only two decent things were the rooster, which was good, and the very pleasant craft beer, which is served in a nice frozen mug. The burger, on the other hand, didn't look great.

03/07/2025: Gave it a second chance and unfortunately never again,it is impossible to get served, 2 weeks ago called in we were escorted to the table but no communication if you would like a drink it took 20 minutes by that time we were just about to leave when eventually we gave our order for food and drinks, so we gave it another go over the weekend, same experience only us 2 to serve and still sat there waiting, another couple walks in and unbelievably served within a couple of minutes, so that was as good an indication to leave and never go back.we consider ourselves and family as locals but never experienced this sort of hospitality in bettola or Italy, fortunately you have other good options to eat.

27/07/2025: Never again. I stopped there last winter for a coffee. I'd already noticed the waitress was very uninterested and annoyed, but given the beautiful place, I promised myself I'd return. I returned today by motorbike. I arrived at 1:20 PM, asked if there was room, and was told to wait. I waited half an hour and was then seated at a table in the sun (1:50 PM). They took my order at 2:30 PM, brought the first course at 3:00 PM, and waited 30 minutes for the second course. I decided to get up and ask if they could speed up the service because I was late. The waitress told me she was coming to tell me the venison was sold out. I ordered a plate of mixed cheeses, which arrived quickly. I ate, got up to pay, and waited another 15 minutes before anyone arrived. The food was average, nothing special, but the service was terrible. It's unbelievable that it takes 20 hours and 45 minutes to eat a first course and a second course. P.S. The waitress always seems uninterested and annoyed, especially when you ask her for something. It's a shame because the place is very beautiful.

20/07/2025: A must-see if you're visiting Groppallo. In this traditional restaurant nestled in the foothills of Piacenza, you'll rediscover the pleasure of home cooking. A bottle of Ortrugo per person is a must.

18/07/2025: Excellent food, a wide selection, a family atmosphere, top-notch service, and under the shady porch, we even get to play scopa. The temperature is fantastic, you won't want to go home.

21/05/2025: Unfortunately, I have to report a decidedly negative experience. The place is in very questionable hygienic conditions: the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a long time, the floor was dirty, with obvious crumbs and stains, and even behind the counter I noticed dirt, in particular a corner between the window and the counter where the floor was completely blackened. The area near the drinks was also neglected. As for the quality, the prices are disproportionate to the offer: visibly packaged or frozen products, dishes served cold or overcooked, and a watered-down cappuccino. The service, unfortunately, made the experience even worse: the attitude of the staff - especially of an employee with tattoos and glasses - was surly and unprofessional. Some friends had already had a similar experience during an aperitif, but I still wanted to give it a second chance. I returned on May 4th in the afternoon, around 3:30 pm, with the intention of buying some bread, but I decided not to go in after seeing the same employee yelling at a colleague behind the counter. A real shame, because with more careful management and more trained staff, the potential would not be lacking. Response to the owner: I would like to clarify that there was no hostile intent in my review. However, as a person, I felt deeply humiliated by the behavior of your staff, and I feel it is my duty to report it to you. I believe that certain attitudes are not consistent with the image that a business like yours should convey, also because — contrary to what I have been told — I am not the only one to have had unpleasant experiences. Several people, in fact, have reported similar situations to me. I find the way I was treated unfair and unacceptable: I felt belittled and offended, even though I did nothing. I can understand the stress but these attitudes with the public should not be had. I hope you want to seriously reflect on what happened, out of respect for those who trust you every day.

08/07/2025: How wonderful to find small, sincere, no-frills places like this! Prices are displayed at the entrance, but the best part is that they briefly explain the menu, as it used to be, and then guide you through an experiential, family-style dinner. We obviously ordered the cured meats and Piacenza tortelli con la coda. We also couldn't resist a plate of pisarei and a few glasses of Bargnolino. The tablecloth was bronze-colored damask. Gorgeous! Prices are average.

27/06/2025: I went there today with my children and I got 4 piadinas with cooked ham, practically empty, with only 2 very thin slices of cooked ham, I will never go there again
